Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efficiency of the supply chain performance of pangasius in Pringsewu. This research was conducted in Pringsewu, Lampung. The types of data used in this study were primary data and secondary data. Respondents in this study were partner farmers who produced pangasiush as many as 43 partner farmers. Measurement of supply chain performance was carried out using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. The result of this research was that the performance of the supply chain of pangasius in Pringsewu was mostly technically efficient, there were only 7 partner farmers who were still not technically efficient. This inefficient performance of pangasius farmers was due to the presence of slack input (excess input). Efforts that can be made to improve supply chain performance efficiency can reduce order fulfillment lead times by 18.42%, order fulfillment cycles by 12.50%, supply chain costs 28.51%, and supply chain flexibility by 15%.

Abstract

Climate change has become an issue that is often discussed by many parties. One of the impacts is the erosion of the coast by sea waves. A group of environmentally conscious in Karawang are trying to reduce erosion by replanting damaged mangroves as a form of adaptation to environmental changes. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the results of mangrove planting carried out to reduce erosion by seawater. This study employs convergent parallel mixed-methods data collection, which included observation, and mapping with Google Earth and Landsat 8 satellite imagery. Semi-structured interviews with relevant key informants, and literature review. Afterward, descriptive techniques are used to analyze the data/ The findings of this study show that community-led mangrove revegetation initiatives have been successful in reducing seawater abrasion. An area of roughly 6.29 ha with a high-density level makes up the mangrove forest that has been successfully revegetated. It has also evolved into a habitat for numerous mangrove species. Additionally, the community practices ecotourism by using mangrove vegetation. On the other hand, the community's revegetation efforts are highly distinctive, notably by adding sand from sedimentation to generate additional land that is used by the community to build buildings, which may lead to future land ownership rights issues.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of communication modernization among fishermen from the Akit tribe in North Rupat. Rupat Island, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The study used a qualitative method involving 17 informants. Data collection used in-depth interview techniques with three fisherman owners (tekong), eight fisherman workers (crews), and an exporter; and focus discussion groups (FGD) with a prominent fisherman, a fisherman owner, two fisherman workers, and an officer from the Fish Landing Base Technical Implementation Unit. The data were analyzed descriptively. This study found that fishermen from the Akit Tribe in Rupat Utara totaled 763 people, consisting of owner fishermen (38.68%) and labor fishermen (61.32%). Most fishermen use gill nets measuring 500 meters to catch fish (95%). Their total fish production averages 1.61 million tons per year, including parang fish (Chirocentrus dorab), senagin (Eleutheronema tetradactylum), senohong (Leptomelanosoma indicum), kurau (Polydactyus octonemus), red snapper (Lutjanus campechanus), and mackerel (Scomberomorus sp.). Almost all fishermen's fish are exported to Malaysia (80%). Furthermore, we found that most of the fishermen from the Akit Tribe still have low education (95%), but have implemented modern communication patterns. This can be seen in the changes in the communication tools they use, from traditional to modern. Since 1990, they have been using HT (handy talky) to communicate among fishermen and with exporters (tauke). Furthermore, in 2015, they already used smartphones and internet-based communication media, especially WhatsApp. To obtain information related to fishing efforts, they use the Google Maps application (to find fish), social media YouTube, and online media published locally (Riau) such as riaupos.co, goriau.com, and tribunpekanbaru.com. They use social media and online media while resting on the ship before lifting the fishing nets onto the ship. The material they communicate includes information about the types of fish caught, the price of fish, the number of requests for fish, the obstacles faced when fishing in the middle of the sea, and so on. Most fishermen of the Akit Tribe go to the sea for 2–9 days per fishing trip (5%). The smooth internet access on Rupat Island is due to the availability of 19 BTS (Base Transceiver Station) towers, making it easier for Akit fishermen to communicate.

Abstract

Hangtuah Village is known as "Kampung Lele"; one of the business actors who run the catfish processing business is the Mina Sejahtera Group. This research was conducted in October 2023 in Hangtuah Village, Perhentian Raja District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. This research aims to identify the supply chain pattern for catfish crackers and analyze the added value of catfish crackers in the Mina Sejahtera Group. The research method uses a survey method, and data is analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The research results show that the supply chain actors consist of partner farmers as suppliers of raw materials for catfish, the Mina Sejahtera Group as business actors and processors of catfish crackers, and consumers as buyers. Supply chain flows include product flows, financial flows, and information flows. The condition of the supply chain for catfish crackers in Hangtuah Village is based on the Food Supply Chain Network (FSCN) approach, which is seen from the supply chain targets, supply chain structure, supply chain entities, supply chain management, supply chain resources, and supply chain business processes that have been integrated with Good. The added value of processing catfish crackers is IDR 11.600/kg with a value-added ratio of 45,3%. The average profit given in the catfish processing process is IDR 5.600/kg or 48,2% of the product's added value, meaning that every kilogram of fresh catfish raw material processed can provide a profit of IDR 5,600/kg in added value
