Abstract

Ideally, services in the library can be more attractive, friendly, fast, and accurate. This means that the orientation of library services must be based on user needs, anticipation of developments in information technology and friendly service, in other words, placing users as one of the factors. However, the results of a community satisfaction survey conducted in February 2023, the Sukabumi Regency library obtained a satisfaction index below 28 or was in the Unsatisfactory category. This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality and staff credibility on user satisfaction at the Sukabumi District Public Library. Descriptive method with quantitative approach and verification method used in this research. The research population is the average number of users from January to March 2022, with a total population of 650 users. The research sample of 388 users was selected using simple random sampling technique. The data obtained from the samples were analyzed using inferential partial least squares (PLS) analysis using the smartPLS application. The results of the data analysis show that service quality has a significant and positive influence on the credibility of officers. In addition, the credibility of officers also has a significant and positive influence on user satisfaction. Furthermore, service quality also has a significant and positive influence on user satisfaction through the credibility of officers as mediators. These findings indicate that improving and improving the quality of services provided by librarians can increase the user's perception of the credibility of the officers. In addition, the high credibility of officers can also increase user satisfaction with the services and facilities provided by the Sukabumi District Public Library. Therefore, it is suggested that libraries increase training and skills development for officers in providing the information needed by users and pay attention to other factors such as the strategic location of the library. This research contributes to the understanding of the factors that influence user satisfaction at the Sukabumi District Public Library. The results of this study can be used as a basis for improving service quality, officer credibility, and user satisfaction in an effort to improve library services as a whole.

The research was conducted to analyze the implementation of the PPDB zoning system in Sukabumi City using qualitative methods with the analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman models to compare with the theory originating from Van Meter and Van Horn. The results showed that Sukabumi City had implemented a zoning system to the variables in the Van Meter and Van Horn theories. There are several goals had not been achieved, namely removing the favorite school label, reducing dropout rates, increasing the net enrollment rate index, bringing parents and children closer together, and evaluating the distribution of schools in Sukabumi City. The goal has not been achieved because of the lack of bureaucratic commitment and fragmentation in the form of pressure from outside the bureaucratic unit.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the National Board of Zakat (BAZNAS) improves the collection of Zakat, Infaq and Shadaqah (ZIS) in Sukabumi Regency, and to identify factors that support or hinder the collection process. This research was triggered by the non-achievement of zakat, infaq, and shadaqah collection targets, as many people were unaware that BAZNAS had provided Zakat Collection Units (UPZ) in each sub-district, which resulted in their reluctance to pay zakat directly to BAZNAS. In order to understand this phenomenon, the research used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, which allows researchers to explore the information actually found in the field. Data were collected through interviews, on-site observations, as well as through documentation and regulations relevant to the research problem. This research focuses on the strategy theory initiated by Dess and Miller (2003), which includes the dimensions of goals, policies, and plans. The research concluded that BAZNAS Sukabumi Regency has a goal to increase the collection of Zakat, Infaq and Shadaqah, although most people prefer to channel it directly to the beneficiaries (mustahiq). Therefore, the research suggests that it is necessary to re-optimize existing policies and design collection strategies that are more in line with the times to achieve the set goals.

Abstract

In conducting the development of micro, small and medium enterprises, the Department of Cooperatives, MSMEs, Industry and Trade (Diskoperindag) of Sukabumi City has the role and authority to do so. However, in the implementation in the field, based on the results of the author's interview with the Head of the SME Division in carrying out these activities, Diskoperindag experienced several obstacles. This study uses the theory of Horton (2003) which has 5 dimensions, namely human resources, technological infrastructure and financial resources, management programs and processes, the last dimension of networks/relationships with other organizations and stakeholders. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach documentation. The results of the study show that the organizational capacity of Diskoperindag in developing MSMEs is not yet adequate, because it is not fully in accordance with the theory of organizational capacity from Horton, et al. Of the five dimensions, only the strategic leadership dimension is adequate. Meanwhile, the dimensions of human resources, infrastructure, technology and financial resources, program and process management and network/relationship dimensions with other organizations and stakeholders are inadequate.

Abstract

Black mold is a type of fungus that produces dangerous toxins known as mycotoxins, which can enter the body through inhalation, skin contact, or consumption of contaminated food. This fungus thrives in damp and dark environments and can cause various symptoms, including respiratory irritation such as cough, runny nose, sore throat, or difficulty breathing and skin problems such as rashes or itching. The research method employs a literature review approach using databases including Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct, SpringerLink, JSTOR, PlosONE, Google Scholar, and SINTA. This study examines the potential health risks of black mold, focusing on environmental exposure, vulnerable populations, health effects, and remediation strategies. The literature review reveals that black mold exposure frequently occurs in damp indoor spaces. Populations at greater risk include children, the elderly, individuals with weakened immune systems, and those with chronic respiratory diseases. Health effects range from mild symptoms, such as eye and nasal irritation, to severe conditions like lung infections and neurological disorders, especially with prolonged exposure. This study concludes that black mold poses significant health risks and emphasizes the importance of prevention and timely remediation to address indoor mold contamination.
