Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring technique to reduce students’ truant behavior of Surabaya Pharmacy School. This study used experimental methods with Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The stage of the study was the preparation, the implementation, and the final stage. The subject of study was twelve students of Surabaya Pharmacy School from first, second, and third grades taken at random through the student truancy scale and divided into two groups, control and experiment group. The intervention is done by doing the counseling group with cognitive restructuring technique to reduce the student’s truancy behavior. The Data was analyzed using SPSS Paired Sampled T-Test. The analysis result showed that there was a significant difference before and after the intervention using cognitive restructuring in the experiment group. Therefore, the technique of cognitive restructuring is effective to reduce student's truancy at Surabaya Pharmacy School.

Abstract

The objective of the research and development to produce a multimedia interactive learning product are valid so that it can be used as a learning resource that is effective and compelling subject matter for the solar system of elementary class VI. Research and development model used adapted from multimedia development Lee and Owens model. Multimedia interactive learning is validated by 1-person expert in material and 1-person expert in media, then individual tests by 2 people, small group of trials by 4 people and field test as many as 10 people. After the validation of results, the analysis method for multimedia interactive learning was declared valid by summing up the results of the calculations of experts, material and media students.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan hybrid active learning dalam rangka menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan quasi experiment nonequivalent group pretest postest control group design. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji ststistik u mann whitney. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan perilaku prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa setelah diberikan intervensi hybrid active learning menggunakan e-learning. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa hybrid active learning efektif untuk menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa.Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of hybrid active learning in order to reduce academic procrastination. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experiment nonequivalent group pretest-posttest control group design. The research data were analyzed using statistical tests for Mann Whitney. The results of this study indicate that there is a decrease in students' academic procrastination behavior after being given a hybrid active learning intervention using e-learning. This proves that hybrid active learning is effective in reducing student academic procrastination.

Abstract

Abstract: Procrastination is a problem that many students experience. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive behavior modification to reduce academic procrastination of high school students. To achieve this goal, this study used a single subject design. Three male students and two female students were selected as research participants using a purposive sampling technique. Data on the rate of procrastination in the baseline 1 (A1), intervention (B) and baseline 2 (A2) phases were obtained from the academic procrastination observation sheet. The data were then analyzed using visual graphic analysis with the split middle method. The analysis showed a decrease in academic procrastination behavior in each student after cognitive behavior modification intervention. This proves that the cognitive behavior modification approach is effective in reducing academic procrastination of high school students.Abstrak: Prokrastinasi merupakan permasalahan yang banyak dialami para siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan cognitive behavior modification untuk menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik siswa sekolah menengah atas (SMA). Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan single subject design. Tiga siswa laki-laki dan dua siswa perempuan dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data tingkat prokrastinasi pada fase baseline 1 (A1), intervensi (B) dan baseline 2 (A2) diperoleh dari lembar observasi prokrastinasi akademik. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis visual grafik dengan metode split middle. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan perilaku prokrastinasi akademik pada masing-masing siswa setelah intervensi cognitive behavior modification. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan cognitive behavior modification efektif untuk menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik siswa SMA.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of solution focused brief counseling to junior high school students optimism in examination. This study employed pretest and posttest control group design. The stages in this research are preparation, implementation and final stage. The data analyzed by using Two-Independent-Sample Test-Mann-Whitney U. The result shows that mean score at the output rank of experimental group is bigger than control group, that is 9.50 greater than 3.50. Next, the result of output Test Statistics shows that asymp.Sig (2-tailed) is 0.001, or the probability is lower than 0.05 (0.001 lower than 0.05) Ho is rejected, so solution focused brief counseling is effective to improve Junior High School Students optimism in examination. Abstrak: Keefektifan Pendekatan Konseling Ringkas Berfokus Solusi untuk meningkatkan optimisme siswa SMP dalam menghadapi ujian. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan Konseling Ringkas Berfokus Solusi untuk meningkatkan optimisme siswa SMP dalam menghadapi ujian. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pretest and posttest control group design. Tahapan penelitian yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan tahap akhir. Data diuji menggunakan uji Two-Independent-Sample Test-Mann-Whitney U. Hasil penelitian ini adalah mean pada output rank (kelompok eksperimen) lebih besar dari mean (kelompok kontrol), yaitu 9.50 lebih dari 3.50. Dilihat dari output Test Statistics menunjukkan bahwa asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0.001, atau probabilitas di bawah 0.05 (0.001 kurang dari 0.05). Maka Ho ditolak, artinya konseling ringkas berfokus solusi efektif untuk meningkatkan optimisme siswa SMP dalam menghadapi ujian.

Abstract

Disiplin merupakan bentuk taat dan patuh seorang individu terhadap nilai dan norma di lingkungan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji keefektifan pendekatan CBM untuk meningkatkan disiplin diri mahasiswa. Rancangan penelitian adalah pretest posttest control group design. Dua belas mahasiswa dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian melalui teknik purposif sampling. Analisis data untuk membuktikan keefektifan pendekatan CBM menggunakan analisis statistik uji Two Independent Test-Mann-Whitney U. Berdasarkan uji analisis statistik membuktikan bahwa Ha diterima yang berarti pendekatan cognitive behavior modificationlebih efektif untuk meningkatkan disiplin mahasiswa dibandingkan dengan pendekatan realita.

Abstract

This research is based on the following issues: (1) What is the level of language proficiency of children in Group B at RA Al-Falah before using hand puppet media? (2) How is the implementation of storytelling activities using hand puppet media in Group B at RA Al-Falah? (3) What is the level of language proficiency of children in Group B at RA Al-Falah after using hand puppet media? The objectives of this research are to determine: (1) The language proficiency of children in Group B at RA Al-Falah before using hand puppet media. (2) The implementation of storytelling activities using hand puppet media in Group B at RA Al-Falah. (3) The language proficiency of children in Group B at RA Al-Falah after using hand puppet media. This research employs a classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The target of this research is students in Group B, with a total of 10 children. The research results show that the implementation of learning with the hand puppet method in storytelling activities can improve the language proficiency of children in Group B. The research findings indicate an increase in the percentage. In Cycle I, the percentage of children in listening skills was 42% with a criteria of very poor, and in Cycle II, the listening skills increased to 85% with a criteria of excellent. In Cycle I, the percentage of children in speaking was 42% with a criteria of very poor, and in Cycle II, it increased to 85% with a criteria of excellent. In Cycle I, the percentage of children in reading words was 36% with a criteria of very poor, and in Cycle II, it increased to 79% with a criteria of good.

Abstract

Discipline is a form of obedience and compliance by an individual to the values and norms prevalent in the community. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of self-regulated learning (SRL) in enhancing Muslim students' discipline. This research adopts a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest control group design. Twelve Muslim students were selected as research subjects using purposive sampling techniques. The experimental group comprised six individuals, while the control group comprised six. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed p= .027; p<.05 for the experimental group and p= .026; p<.05  for the control group. Based on the hypothesis test, it was proven that H0 is rejected. This indicates that the SRL technique is equally effective than the reality approach, although the average discipline improved more than other interventions. The findings of this study suggest that Self-Regulated Learning is one of the techniques that can be employed to enhance the discipline of Muslim students.

Abstract

AbstrakSampah merupakan sisa-sisa dari kegiatan manusia yang tidak lagi memiliki nilai ekonomi atau kegunaan secara langsung. Tak bisa kita pungkiri bahwasanya kebanyakan sampah saat ini dihasilkan dari limbah rumah tangga. Apabila limbah rumah tangga ini tidak dikelola dengan baik, maka sampah tadi akan membusuk dan berdampak buruk bagi lingkungan dan masyarakat. Masalah ini sama seperti yang dialami oleh warga Dusun Klandungan Kota Malang. Padatnya penduduk Dusun Klandungan menjadikan produksi limbah organik rumah tangga di wilayah tersebut kian membludak. Masalah ini diperparah oleh tidak adanya pengelolaan sampah di wilayah tersebut. Akibatnya lingkungan menjadi tercemar dan berbau tidak sedap. Salah satu solusi pemecahan masalah ini adalah dengan melakukan pengolahan sampah organik menjadi pupuk kompos. Melihat masalah seperti ini, perangkat Dusun Klandungan bekerja sama dengan tim pengabdian masyarakat qaryah thayyibah UIN Malang untuk melaksanakan kegiatan edukasi dan sosialisasi terkait bagaimana tata cara pengolahan sampah organik menjadi pupuk kompos di Dusun Klandungan. Tujuan diadakannya kegiatan ini adalah untuk menambah wawasan dan pemahaman warga Dusun Klandungan tentang bagaimana tata cara pengolahan sampah organik menjadi pupuk kompos sebagai alternatif solusi pemecahan masalah yang dialami warga Dusun Klandungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) dimana melibatkan secara aktif semua pihak yang terkait (stakeholder) dalam mengkaji tindakan yang sedang dilakukan, dimana pengalaman dari stakeholder sendiri sebagai persoalan dalam rangka melakukan perubahan dan perbaikan ke arah yang lebih baik. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini adalah seluruh warga Dusun Klandungan, dimana hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan ini adalah kesadaran diri warga Dusun Klandungan untuk mewujudkan lingkungan bersih dan sehat meningkat, selain itu sampah di TPA menjadi berkurang, dan hasil pupuk kompos yang diolah dijadikan sebagai kompos tanaman oleh warga Dusun Klandungan. Kata kunci: sampah organik; pupuk kompos; lingkungan bersih. AbstractWaste is a remnant of human activities that no longer has economic value or direct use. We cannot deny that most of the current waste is generated from household waste. If this household waste is not managed properly, the waste will rot and have a bad impact on the environment and society. This problem is the same as experienced by the residents of Klandungan Hamlet, Malang City. The dense population of Klandungan Hamlet has made the production of household organic waste in the area increasingly explosive. This problem is exacerbated by theabsence of waste management in the region. As a result, the environment becomes polluted and smells bad. One solution to solve this problem is to process organic waste into compost. Seeing problems like this, the Klandungan Hamlet apparatus collaborated with the qaryah thayyibah community service team of UIN Malang to carry out educational and socialization activities related to the procedures for processing organic waste into compost in Klandungan Hamlet. The purpose of holding this activity is to increase the insight and understanding of the residents of Klandungan Hamlet about how to process organic waste into compost as an alternative solution to solve problems experienced by the residents of Klandungan Hamlet. The method used in this service is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method which actively involves all relevant parties (stakeholders) in reviewing the actions being taken, where the experience of the stakeholders themselves is a problem in order to make changes and improvements for the better. Participants in this activity are all residents of Klandungan Hamlet, where the results achieved from this activity are the self-awareness of Klandungan Hamlet residents to create a clean and healthy environment increases, besides that waste in the landfill is reduced, and the results of compost fertilizer processed are used as plant compost by the residents of Klandungan Hamlet. Keywords: organic waste; compost; clean environment.
