Abstract

This study was conducted at Donba Enggar Farm, located in Pare District, from November to December 2024, with the aim of identifying the marketing channels and margins of agribusiness products at Donba Enggar Farm and analyzing the 4P marketing mix (product, place, price, promotion) using a qualitative descriptive method. This study aims to: (1) Identify the marketing channels and margins of agribusiness products implemented at Donba Enggar Farm, Pare District, Kediri Regency. (2) Analyze the marketing mix of agribusiness products at Donba Enggar Farm, Pare District, Kediri Regency. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation study. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. All agribusiness product channels at Donba Enggar Farm, including sheep and feed products, can be considered efficient because they have a farmer's share value of more than 40%. The marketing mix for Donba Enggar's livestock products—namely sheep and feed—includes the use of elevated stalls (stilt pens) and modern pen management. This is supported by a strategic location with good availability of feed materials. The prices set by Donba Enggar for each product generally follow market prices, except for the feed products, which are produced in-house by the farm.

Abstract

Sheep farming is widely practiced in Indonesia, but most operations remain small-scale and traditional. Donba Enggar Farm, located in Pare District, Kediri Regency, represents a modern sheep farming enterprise with 150 heads and improved management practices. This study aims to formulate development strategies for the farm to enhance competitiveness and sustainability. Research was conducted using a case study approach with SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The results place Donba Enggar Farm in Quadrant I of the SWOT diagram, indicating a favorable and aggressive growth position. Five alternative strategies were identified: maintaining production quality, optimizing digital marketing through online platforms, developing organic feed and fertilizer businesses, expanding the flock population, and participating in livestock technology training. Among these, maintaining production quality ranked as the top strategic priority. Overall, the findings highlight that proactive and integrated development strategies can strengthen the farm’s role in meeting the growing demand for sheep, particularly for religious and culinary purposes.

Abstract

Regarding the development of robusta coffee, the Kediri Regency Agriculture and Plantation Service (Dispertabun) has been in contact with farmers through Field Extension Officers (PPL). Finding out the model and techniques for agribusiness communication as well as the challenges encountered in implementing Dispertabun's agribusiness communication with farmers to develop robusta coffee in Kediri Regency are the goals to be accomplished. In addition to interactive model data analysis, this study employs a qualitative descriptive methodology (Miles and Huberman). The research findings led to the conclusion that the context of the message being communicated determined the choice of agribusiness communication model. The application of interpersonal (individual) and organizational (group) communication techniques depends on the message's content. It is possible to reduce potential communication obstacles in agriculture. The findings suggest that in order to minimize potential barriers to communication, the Kediri Regency Dispertabun through PPL should continue to maintain appropriate (relevant) communication models and methods. Additionally, keep up the good work in improving agribusiness communication with robusta coffee farmers in order to continue meeting new objectives and targets related to agribusiness communication.

Abstract

Farm independence is a crucial foundation for the sustainability of farmers’ agribusiness, as it enables them to optimize resources and adapt to market changes. A farmer group approach is increasingly relevant for strengthening this independence through collaborative knowledge and shared resources. This study aims to (1) analyze the influence of intrinsic determination and extrinsic determination on the dynamic movement of the group and (2) analyze the influence of intrinsic determination, extrinsic determination, and dynamic movement of the group on the independence of farmers in farming. The study was conducted from January to March 2024 at the Bangkit Merbabu Farmers Group in Batur Village, Getasan Subdistrict, Semarang District, Central Java. A total of 42 farmers were selected by simple random sampling as the research sample. Data were collected using questionnaires that measured the four research variables: the influence of intrinsic determination, extrinsic determination, and the dynamic movement of the group on the independence of farmers in farming. The data were analyzed using path analysis with the assistance of SPSS 21. The path analysis results showed significant contributions of intrinsic determination. Intrinsic determination had a strong direct influence on farm independence, while external factors contributed more through indirect paths mediated by the dynamic movement of the group. The dynamic movement of the group itself also had a positive direct effect on the level of farm independence. These findings suggest that enhancing farmers’ knowledge and skills directly increases their independence, and extrinsic support further strengthens this effect through interactions within the farmer group.

Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study was conducted from June to November 2025. The results indicate that the SPR program successfully transformed the farmers' paradigm from a traditional system toward structured industrial management through intensive education on technical cultivation, independent financial management, and digital marketing strategies. Increased HR capacity is evident in the respondents' ability to perform feed cost efficiency and organized business bookkeeping. Positive influences on business development include improved production quality, harvest stability, and expanded market reach via social media promotion to reduce dependency on local middlemen. Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the post-harvest process for guppy fish and the marketing channels at Mr. Mauludy's farm in Pare District, Kediri Regency. The study was conducted from February 2026 to April 2026, using a purposive sampling technique. The results of this study are that post-harvest activities of guppy fish include several stages, namely harvesting, sorting and grading, temporary storage, packaging, and distribution and marketing. These stages are carried out to maintain the quality of guppy fish so that they remain in healthy condition so that they have a good selling value when marketed. In its implementation, post-harvest activities still face several obstacles such as poorly controlled water cleanliness, failure of fish to adapt after harvest, excessive feeding, and the presence of cannibalistic behavior in guppy fish which can cause losses for farmers. The marketing channels for guppy fish in this study consist of two channels: direct marketing channels from producers to consumers and first-level marketing channels from producers to collectors and then to consumers. The selling price of guppy fish to collectors tends to be lower than direct sales to consumers due to the profit margin taken by collectors.
