Abstract

Es tape ketan hitam is a traditional drink that is in great demand by the public and has the potential as a source of disease transmission is in the process of processing not using proper hygiene sanitation. The purpose of this research is to determine the content of Escherichia coli, Salmonella sp., and Shigella sp. in es tape ketan hitam. The research was conducted by planting Escherichia coli on EMBA and planting Salmonella sp., and Shigella sp. on SSA. The technique used is the spread method. The results of this study indicate that samples 1, 2, 5 and, 6 contain Escherichia coli exceeding the threshold. Samples 1, 5 and, 6 contained Salmonella sp., and Shigella sp. exceed the provisions. Microbiological requirements of drinks based on PerBPOM RI No. 13 of 2019 is the maximum total Escherichia coli, which is < 3 colonies/ml and 0 colonies/25ml (negative) for Salmonella sp., and Shigella sp. So it can be concluded that 4 out of 6 samples of es tape ketan hitam in Malang City do not meet the criteria for a drink that is fit for consumption based on PerBPOM RI No. 13 of 2019.

Abstract

Siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang telah banyak memperoleh prestasi di bidang seni dan olahraga, tetapi tidak di bidang penalaran/ilmiah. Pihak sekolah berkomitmen untuk membina kelompok karya ilmiah remaja (KIR). Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah pendampingan sekolah untuk pendampingan Pembinaan Peningkatan Prestasi Kelompok Karya Ilmiah Remaja (KIR) SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. Metode yang digunakan adalah presentasi, diskusi, pendampingan, dan praktik langsung/implementasi. Adapun gambaran solusi atau kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Pelatihan guru dan penyusunan bersama pedoman pendampingan kelompok KIR. (2) Pembentukan kelompok KIR SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang; dan (3) Publikasi. Bentuk luaran yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini adalah (1) pedoman pendampingan kelompok KIR SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang yang dapat digunakan sebagai pedoman oleh guru dan pihak sekolah. (2) Adanya atau terbentuknya kelompok KIR SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang yang dapat menjadi wadah (kegiatan ekstrakurikuler) bagi para siswa dan bernilai keunggulan sekolah. (3) Publikasi media massa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan target dan semua luaran tercapai. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan berjalan sukses dan memberikan dampak bagi terlaksananya pembinaan kelompok KIR di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. Assistance in Fostering Youth Scientific Work Groups at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang Students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang have achieved many achievements in the fields of art and sports, but not in the field of reasoning/scientific. The school is committed to fostering youth scientific work groups (Karya Ilmiah Remaja/KIR). The purpose of this activity is to assist schools to assist in the development of achievement improvement of the KIR at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. The methods used are presentation, discussion, mentoring, and direct practice/implementation. The description of the solutions or activities carried out are as follows: (1) Teacher training and joint preparation of KIR group mentoring guidelines. (2) Establishment of KIR group at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang; and (3) Publications. The outcomes of this activity are (1) guidelines for mentoring KIR groups at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang which can be used as guidelines by teachers and the school. (2) The existence or formation of the KIR group of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang which can be a forum (extracurricular activities) for students and has the value of school excellence. (3) Mass media publications. The results show that the activities have been carried out in accordance with the targets and all outcomes have been achieved. It can be concluded that the activity was successful and had an impact on the implementation of the development of the KIR group at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang.

Abstract

Kehidupan masyarakat pedesaan masih banyak bergantung pada pengobatan tradisional berbasis tanaman obat, namun kurangnya dokumentasi ilmiah menyebabkan kekayaan pengetahuan ini terancam punah. Kampung Ciwangun RW/RT 02/07, Desa Cupunagara, Kecamatan Cisalak, Kabupaten Subang, merupakan salah satu wilayah yang masih memanfaatkan tanaman herbal dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis tanaman obat yang digunakan masyarakat setempat, bagian tanaman yang dimanfaatkan, serta penyakit yang dapat disembuhkan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif eksploratif melalui observasi langsung dan dokumentasi tanaman di lapangan. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat empat jenis tanaman herbal dari empat famili berbeda, yaitu kunyit, jambu biji, pisang, dan sereh. Bagian tanaman yang digunakan meliputi daun, rimpang, buah, biji, serta seluruh bagian tumbuhan, yang bermanfaat untuk mengobati pembengkakan empedu, mencret, sakit perut, dan luka luar. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya pelestarian keanekaragaman hayati lokal dan penguatan basis data tanaman obat tradisional. Penelitian ini juga membuka peluang untuk eksplorasi lebih lanjut mengenai potensi senyawa aktif tanaman-tanaman tersebut dalam pengembangan obat herbal berbasis lokal.

Abstract

Environmental education plays a pivotal role in fostering sustainability awareness and behavioral change, especially when supported by effective pedagogical tools. In recent years, the integration of digital technologies—including mobile applications, augmented reality, videos, and interactive platforms—has increasingly reshaped traditional teaching strategies to enhance cognitive development and environmental literacy. However, persistent challenges such as limited resources, technological infrastructure, and teacher preparedness continue to hinder widespread adoption. This study contributes by mapping how digital learning media have evolved within environmental education research, highlighting conceptual shifts and emerging interdisciplinary intersections. Unlike prior reviews, this article offers a combined bibliometric and qualitative analysis of 17 Scopus-indexed articles published 2018-2023, using Scopus AI and VOSviewer tools. Results show that digital media—such as gamification and social platforms—appear to be more promising than conventional methods in promoting environmental understanding and engagement. The most prominent research themes include environmental education, sustainable development, and learning media, with increasing attention to mobile learning, augmented reality, and interdisciplinary strategies. Five key conceptual clusters emerged: (1) sustainability integration in higher education, (2) innovative pedagogies, (3) links between environmental literacy and behavior, (4) cross-disciplinary approaches (e.g., through language learning), and (5) utilization of digital media. These findings underscore the transformative potential of technology while advocating for adaptive and inclusive learning designs. Nevertheless, the results should be interpreted in light of limitations related to database scope and publication context. Future research should investigate long-term behavioral outcomes, culturally adaptive media design, applications of AI, and strategies to bridge equity gaps across diverse educational settings.

Abstract

Authentic assessment holds a crucial role in modern biology education as it supports competency-based evaluations that enable students to apply scientific knowledge in real-world settings. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research trends on authentic assessment in biology learning using data from the Scopus database. Employing a quantitative approach, the study analyzed the temporal distribution, international collaboration, dominant keywords, and thematic evolution from 39 selected articles through tools such as co-authorship network analysis, keyword co-occurrence mapping, and thematic evolution analysis. Results indicated a significant rise in publications since 2018, peaking during the COVID-19 pandemic due to shifts in assessment methods for online learning. The disciplinary distribution showed a predominance of social sciences (26.1%) intersecting with biology and environmental science. The United States and the UK emerged as leading contributors, with support from institutions like the National Science Foundation. Keyword analysis identified two major clusters: animal-based assessment (motor theme) and molecular biology (emerging theme). However, the literature showed limited representation from developing countries and minimal exploration of advanced technologies. This study contributes by (1) mapping scientific developments in authentic assessment research, (2) offering a bibliometric analysis protocol applicable to similar areas, and (3) suggesting future directions including global collaboration, validation of long-term instruments, and focus on niche topics like biodiversity-based assessments. The findings offer practical implications for designing context-responsive assessment guidelines. Nonetheless, the study is constrained by its reliance on Scopus and English-language sources, potentially excluding other relevant contributions.

Abstract

Environmental problems and their solutions demand a holistic approach to address key challenges effectively. Previous studies have included reviews but lacked bibliometric analysis. This study bridges the gap by conducting a bibliometric analysis of research on "environmental problems and their solutions" using data from the Scopus database. Applying the PRISMA method, 39 articles were selected from an initial 353 documents. Analytical tools like Scopus, VOSviewer, and RStudio were utilized to visualize bibliometric relationships, temporal trends, collaboration patterns, and key themes. Research distribution from 1990 to 2023 fluctuated, with notable peaks in certain years. The United States leads global contributions, followed by Russia, Germany, and Turkey. Strategic themes such as "environmental problems" and "water treatment" were prominent, while "energy resources" remained a developing theme. This study offers a strategic map for understanding environmental research landscapes, fostering global collaboration, and shaping future multidisciplinary research strategies focusing on energy transitions and sustainable innovations.

Abstract

The integration of digital technologies in environmental education (EE) has emerged as an important research area. However, a comprehensive synthesis of international research remains scarce. This systematic literature review (SLR), adhering to the PRISMA guidelines, aims to fill this gap by synthesizing peer-reviewed articles published in the past decade, specifically from the Scopus database. While the Scopus database was prioritized due to its comprehensive collection of high-quality, peer-reviewed journals in the field, future research should consider incorporating studies from other databases to ensure broader coverage of the topic. The primary objectives of this review are to analyze: (1) the predominant research approaches and instruments used in digital technology research in EE; (2) key findings regarding the application of digital technologies in EE; (3) thematic categories that explain the role of digital tools in environmental learning; and (4) the impact of digital technologies on promoting pro-environmental behavior through pedagogical integration. This review synthesizes current research practices and outlines how technologies such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mobile applications enhance student engagement, environmental knowledge, and pro-environmental behavior. Additionally, the review explores the potential risks associated with the adoption of digital technologies, including the phenomenon of "techno-solutionism." It emphasizes the importance of culturally and ethically responsive pedagogies to mitigate these risks. Methodologically, the review adopts a critical approach, evaluating how different studies have addressed these challenges and suggesting strategies for responsible and context-aware implementation of digital tools in EE. The findings of this review underscore the need for critical thinking in the use of digital technologies in EE. The future of digital EE research should focus on long-term impact assessments and the integration of indigenous knowledge into digital pedagogies, ensuring a more inclusive and effective approach to environmental education.

Abstract

Environmental anxiety has increasingly been recognized as a significant psychological response to the global ecological crisis, particularly among adolescents within formal educational settings where climate change discourse is integrated into learning processes. As schools function as primary spaces for cognitive, emotional, and moral development, understanding how educational contexts shape students’ ecological concerns become essential. This study examines the impact of educational background on students’ environmental anxiety by comparing Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and non-Islamic schools in South Tapanuli Regency. Employing a quantitative comparative design, data were collected from 60 students (30 pesantren and 30 non-pesantren) using an adapted Environmental Anxiety Scale. The analysis covered five dimensions: fear of ecological disasters, future anxiety, ecological guilt, ecological paralysis, and denial. Findings indicate that non-pesantren students reported significantly higher anxiety levels across all dimensions (p < 0.05), while also demonstrating stronger pro-environmental behavior (p < 0.01). In contrast, pesantren students exhibited lower anxiety levels, potentially reflecting the internalization of religious values and communal support as adaptive coping mechanisms. These findings suggest that educational background significantly influences adolescents’ emotional and behavioral responses to environmental challenges. The study contributes to policy discourse by emphasizing the integration of ecological literacy with spiritual and ethical reflection to foster ecological resilience and responsible behavior among young learners.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi di era revolusi industry 4.0 ditandai dengan diterapkannya teknologi digital dan kecerdasan artifisial dalam berbagai sektor kehidupan manusia. Kondisi tersebut dipercepat oleh munculnya pandemi covid-19 yang secara tiba-tiba dan penyebarannya sangat cepat. Dalam bidang pendidikan diterapkan kebijakan pembelajaran dilaksanakan dari rumah. Kebijakan tersebut menimbulkan respon yang bervariasi oleh guru, terutama yang belum menguasai teknologi komunikasi dan informasi (TIK) untuk pembelajaran. Tulisan ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan kreativitas guru dalam pemanfaatan media digital untuk meningkatkan capaian pembelajaran siswa dalam pembelajaran daring (online). Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan dengan menerapkan lesson study di satu sekolah. Subjek penelitian ini guru matapelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, Matematika, dan Biologi. Data penelitian ini berupa tuturan dan perilaku guru dalam pembelajaran. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode observasi dan studi dokumenter. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan melaksanakan lesson study, guru-guru menjadi lebih kreatif dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran digital untuk meningkatkan capaian pembelajaran siswa. Guru-guru dapat memilih dan memanfaatkan sumber belajar yang tersedia di internet, mampu memanfaatkan media pembelajaran media internet melalui platform google classroom, google meet, google form, dan google drive, zoom meeting, youtube, dan whatsapp sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran, karakteristik bahan ajar, dan sesuai dengan kondisi kemampuan siswa. Guru-guru juga kreatif memanfaatkan google form untuk melaksanakan penilaian pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan guru menjadi bervariasi dan memudahkan siswa untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran dalam jaringan (online). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan kepada guru untuk terus melaksanakan lesson study kolaboratif untuk meningkatkan profesionalitasnya secara berkelanjutan.
