Abstract

Aggressive behavior is an action which aims to hurt or to injure someone else. Aggressive behavior could appear at any age, without exception for the adolescent. The adolescent is described as a storm and stress period, that is the emotional turbulence that accompanied by the decrease of ability to manage their emotion with the result that potentially to form an aggressive behavior. One of the factor that cause aggressive behavior is the authoritarian parenting style. The authoritarian parenting style done by the parents can bring some impacts for the children. The children which always prosecuted to do their parents’ wish will feel frustrated which makes them to act freely and behave aggressively when they are outside home ( Sarwono,1988).This research is purposed to know the significant relationship between tendency of authoritarian parenting style with indication of aggressive behavior in adolescents. The subject of this research is 258 adolescents at the age of 13 and 18 years old. The method used in this research is quantitative methods with correlational approach. The sampling technique used is multistage random sampling . The measuring tool that used is authoritative upbringing scale (31 aitem; rxx` = 0,915) and aggressive behavior scale (39 aitem; rxx` = 0,902).The main data in this research is analyzed by using spearman nonparametric correlation analysis with correlation value 0,314 and probability value 0,000. The supporting data is analyzed by using Independent Sample Test Analysis to see the difference of aggressive behaviour if it is observed from the age and the gender. The result of this research which analyzed by using Independent Sample Test indicate that there is no difference of aggressive behaviour based on the gender and age of research subject.Keywords : Authoritarian Parenting Style., Aggressive Behaviour, Adolescent.

Abstract

Marriage in Balinese society is closely related to the existing Wangsa in Bali. According to different marriage of Wangsa in Bali, women’s Wangsa will be dropped to follow her husband’s Wangsa which is known as nyerod. Living a family life can’t be separated from household matters that can lead into the end of marriage that can be caused by divorce or death of the husband. For nyerod widow who return back to her bajang house and accepted by the biological family, the status becomes mulih deha. Individuals who have failed in household, some were able to get through stressful situations, but not a little were difficult to pass it. Individuals who are able to respond in a way that is healthy and productive when facing adversity or trauma called resilience. Based on these explanation, this study aim to know the resilience nyerod widow who have hadmulih deha. This study use qualitative research method with case study approach. Respondents in this study are two persons. The techniques of collecting the data were interviews and observation in two nyerod's widow that already mulih deha. Data analysis techniques through three stages, namely open coding, axial coding and selective coding. The results of this study indicated there were occurs twice pressing conditions, breakdown into eight phases, namely adverse events (nyerod), succumbing, survival, adverse events (loss of a spouse), succumbing, survival, recovery, and thriving. Besides that some of internal factors that can support resilient are motivation and hope, from external factors are children, family and social. Keywords: resilience, widow, nyerod, mulih deha

Abstract

Dewasa ini banyak ditemukan perilaku seksual pranikah di kalangan remaja, khususnya remaja awal dengan usia 12-15 tahun. Perilaku seksual muncul karena adanya perkembangan seksualitas remaja pada fase pubertas serta dorongan seksual dari dalam diri remaja untuk menonjolkan daya tarik seksual dan memenuhi dorongan seksual. Perilaku seksual pranikah yang dilakukan remaja menunjukkan bahwa remaja memiliki sikap yang positif terhadap perilaku seksual pranikah. Sikap terhadap perilaku seksual pranikah merupakan reaksi positif-negatif atau setuju-tidak setuju terhadap perilaku seksual pranikah. Sikap ini menjadi penting karena suatu sikap dapat memprediksi perilaku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran kecerdasan emosi dan self-control pada sikap terhadap perilaku seksual pranikah siswa SMPN di Bali. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 206 siswa kelas VIII SMPN di Bali dengan rentang usia 12-15 tahun yang dipilih secara random dengan menggunkan teknik two stage cluster sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala kecerdasan emosi, skala self-control dan skala sikap terhadap periaku seksual pranikah. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan teknik regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosi dan self-control secara bersama-sama berpengaruh pada sikap terhadap periaku seksual pranikah, akan tetapi secara parsial, hanya self-control yang berpengaruh secara signifikan pada sikap terhadap perilaku seksual pranikah, sedangkan kecerdasan emosi tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan pada periaku seksual pranikah. Abstract

Fine motor skills are very important skills that needed in child development and it require training and skills to be developed. However, there are only few of fine motor skills development  which  based  on  culture  and  uses  traditional  activities  to  be  the  tool  to improve the child’s fine motor skills. In Balinese culture, one of activities which can be used to develop fine motor skill is ngulat tipat taluh. Based on this problem, the aim of this study was to determine the effect of ngulat tipat taluh to fine motor skills in children aged 6-7 years.   This study used an experimental method with one-group pre-test post-test design with 49 people as subject. Data in this study was collected by measuring fine motor skills variable in pre-test and post-test. The measurement is using mazes that consist of 8 items, and after the validity and reliability test each items was valid with rix in range 0.298 to 0.712 and alpha cronbach reliability coefficient (?) is 0.812. Based on the results of the statistical paired T-test, the value of significance (2-tailed) 0.00 ? 0.025 (? = 0.025) and the t value in this study was 6.603 greater than t table (1.677). Based on statistical analysis, it can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) can be accepted and there was significant influence ngulat tipat taluh to fine motor skills in 6-7 years old children.   Keywords: Ngulat tipat taluh, fine motor skills, children aged 6-7 years.

Abstract

The emergence of aggressive behavior in a child can interfere with their developmental process. Aggressive behavior encompasses intentional physical, verbal, or a combination of actions aimed at causing harm to others, such as expressing anger without apparent cause, threatening, attacking, or informing an adult that another child is wrong. A variety of intervention methods can help reduce aggressive behavior in children. In order to identify effective strategies for addressing early childhood aggression and preventing the emergence of developmental barriers, this study employs the literature review method. The research has found three aggressive behavioral interventions in early childhood: storytelling, reinforcement, and role-play.

Abstract

One of the developmental tasks for XII-grade students is determining their career after graduating from high school. The reality shows that many high school students still cannot determine their future career after graduating high school, which can be seen from the difficulty of students deciding between continuing their studies to university or going to work. This is caused by a lack of education regarding career planning held by each school. The inability of XII-grade high school students to determine career planning will impact the students' low psychological well-being. Two factors that influence students' psychological well-being are self-efficacy and self-esteem. This research examines the role of self-efficacy and self-esteem on the psychological well-being of XII-grade teenagers at SMA Negeri 1 Tabanan. This research involved 132 XII-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Tabanan. This research used non-probability sampling techniques of incidental sampling. The Psychological Well-Being Scale has an Alpha coefficient of 0,946, the Self-Efficacy Scale has an Alpha coefficient of 0,876, and the Self-Esteem Scale has an Alpha coefficient of 0,649. The results of this study state that self-efficacy and self-esteem together play a significant role in psychological well-being. Apart from that, self-efficacy plays a significant positive role in improving psychological well-being and self-esteem does not play a significant role in improving psychological well-being.

Abstract

For twelfth-grade students in public high schools (SMA Negeri), the shifts in teaching methods following the COVID-19 pandemic present significant obstacles that are frequently difficult to overcome. Pupils at this level need a strong internal incentive to go through the challenges of the learning process and fulfill their goals; this motivation is often called achievement motivation. After the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of internal and external factors affect twelfth-grade students at public high schools' drive for accomplishment. Self-efficacy is an example of an internal component, and family social support is an example of an external element.This study aims to determine how self-efficacy and family social support influence the success motivation of public high school twelfth graders in Denpasar during the COVID-19 pandemic. With 206 twelfth-grade students from public high schools in Denpasar, the study used a multi-stage cluster sampling procedure with a quantitative approach.The results show that accomplishment motivation is jointly influenced by self-efficacy and family social support by 61.4% (R Square = 0.614; significance value 0.000 < 0.05). Therefore, building good family social support and encouraging self-efficacy—the belief in one's own abilities are essential to raising kids' drive for achievement.

Abstract

Masalah merupakan bagian yang erat kaitannya dengan kehidupan. Misalnya, kesulitan menghadapi rasa sakit secara emosional, perasaan marah, dan stress. Setiap individu tentu memiliki cara yang berbeda untuk menghadapinya. Salah satu cara yang muncul adalah perilaku menyakiti diri. Tujuan dari literature review ini adalah untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku menyakiti diri pada remaja. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka melalui Google Scholar dengan kriteria jurnal yang dipublikasikan maksimal 5 tahun terakhir dan buku yang diterbitkan maksimal 10 tahun terakhir. Sampel yang menjadi fokus penelitian ini adalah remaja usia 10-24 tahun yang melakukan perilaku melukai diri. Hasil dari literature review ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang paling sering muncul adalah adanya emosi negatif yang ditekan, kesulitan menyelesaikan masalah, cara pengasuhan dan komunikasi orang tua, serta pengaruh dari media.

Abstract

Masa remaja adalah masa pencarian jati diri dan masa rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi salah satunya terhadap hal yang berkaitan dengan seksualitas. Kemajuan teknologi ibarat dua mata pisau, di satu sisi sangat menguntungkan, di sisi lain bisa berbahaya. Salah satu dampak negatif dari kemajuan teknologi berupa internet adalah mudahnya mengakses pornografi dan pornoaksi yakni internet pornografi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan mengenai kecanduan pornografi pada kalangan remaja. Literature yang menjadi rujukan dalam literature review ini adalah jurnal-jurnal yang membahas kecanduan pornografi pada kalangan remaja. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur deskriptif dengan kriteria inklusi diantaranya memaparkan kecanduan pornografi pada kalangan remaja, subjek penelitian adalah remaja, penelitian dilakukan pada rentang tahun 2017 – 2022, variabel penelitian berkorelasi positif dengan kecanduan pornografi. Berdasarkan literature review, Hasil yang diperoleh menemukan bahwa kecanduan pornografi berdampak pada perubahan psikososial remaja yaitu meliputi perubahan kognitif, perubahan psikologis dan perubahan sosial.

Abstract

Single parents with children with special needs face complex challenges that create social and psychological burdens, impacting their physical health and parenting styles. However, the resilience development process among single parents with children with special needs is not yet fully understood. This study aims to explore the dynamics of resilience development in single parents with children with special needs, enabling them to navigate these challenges. The method used was a literature review of various studies related to the process of resilience development in single parents. The results indicate four phases in resilience development: the surrender phase, the survival phase, the recovery phase, and the thriving phase. In the surrender phase, parents feel overwhelmed by the situation they are facing. The survival phase is characterized by efforts to meet their child's and their own basic needs despite limitations. In the recovery phase, parents begin to accept their child's condition and develop more adaptive parenting strategies. The thriving phase demonstrates the ability of parents to find meaning, enhance their capacity, and support optimal child development. This study emphasizes the importance of resilience development in single parents with children with special needs to prevent psychological problems and improve family well-being. The implication of these findings is the need for psychosocial support and empowerment of single parents in community-based intervention programs to strengthen their resilience in facing various parenting challenges.
