Abstract

This study aimed to analyze and evaluate the extent of relationship between the soybean demand in a region and the number of cooperatives in the area, as well as the extent of relationship between the number of cooperative members (tofu and tempeh producers) and the number of cooperatives in the area. This study uses a quantitative approach based on primary data, later processed using Pearson correlation method. The results of data processing show that there is no significant relationship between the number of cooperatives and the number of producers. Furthermore, there is also no significant relationship between the number of cooperatives and existing soybean demands. This indicates the low role of cooperatives in the national soybean supply chain at the present. Therefore, there are two policy options that can be made. First, a radical policy, i.e. to leave out PRIMKOPTI in soybean supply chain at all. Second, the still mainstream policy, i.e. to still involve PRIMKOPTI, thus in order to make long-term programs in soybean business administration run well, PRIMKOPTI should be institutionally empowered and strengthened to achieve its business resilience.

Abstract

This study aims at analyzing banking risks and performance during the COVID-19 pandemic which will affect the soundness of the bank. In this study, the researchers applied the qualitative method by examining the condition of natural objects, positioning the researchers as the key instrument, applying triangulation (combination) in the data collection, and analyzing data inductively. The analyzed data in this study was collected by implementing library research, which is a study carried out by collecting data from books, journals, articles, magazines, and internet sources related to research problems. The collected data from internet sources were in the form of stock price data and transaction volume at banks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Those data were obtained from idx.co.id and ojk.go.id. Results of this study indicate that all banks tend to experience a decline in the value of risk-weighted assets, capital adequacy ratios, and interest income at each bank and sectoral level. Moreover, larger banks are relatively more vulnerable. The decrease in those three dimensions is predicted to increase disproportionately if the NPL shock becomes larger. The findings further suggest that a 10% NPL shock can force the capital adequacy of all banks to fall below the BASEL III minimum requirement, while a shock of 13% or more can turn it into zero or negative at the sectoral level. Apart from that, the call to stay at home has an impact on many sectors, especially the banking sector, so that financing growth slows and non-performing financing increases because many people have lost their jobs. This non-current financing definitely will have an impact on banking financial performance, leading to non-performing financing (NPF).

Abstract

Mining commodities are strategic commodities for the Indonesian people because they are a source of state revenue. On the other hand, mining has a significant social, economic, and political impact. Therefore, the decision to grant a mining permit needs to be considered carefully. The Minerba Law of 2009 took over some authority to the Central Government. This takeover creates a conflict in the Regional Government which wants the authority to grant permits to reside with the regional government. By using normative analysis, this study tries to see the purpose of the Minerba Law Number 4 of 2009. This research shows that apart from granting permits, other factors need to be considered, namely how the mining sector provides revenue and benefits the local community.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Background. Kaliabang Tengah Regency, a region with immense potential and entrepreneurial spirit, has faced persistent challenges hindering the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Limited access to resources, training, and financing options has thwarted the aspirations of local entrepreneurs. A community service initiative was launched to establish MSME Incubation Centers in response to these challenges. Purpose. The primary purpose of this community service project is to empower local entrepreneurs in Kaliabang Tengah Regency by providing them with the necessary tools, knowledge, and support to start and grow their businesses. Method. The procedure outlined for establishing the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Incubation Centers in Kaliabang Tengah Regency does indeed utilize guidance and socialization methods as integral components of the process. Results. The incubation centers can lead to a surge in regional entrepreneurial activities. More individuals and groups may be inspired to start their businesses. Existing MSMEs that utilize the resources and support provided by the incubation centers may experience substantial growth. As local MSMEs expand and new businesses emerge, there is a potential for a significant increase in job opportunities within the community. Conclusion. By providing essential resources, fostering innovation, and empowering local businesses, these centers have the potential to catalyze economic growth, job creation, and increased prosperity within the community. Abstract

Indonesia’s high dependence on soybean imports as a raw material for tempeh has brought various efforts to find a substitute of this raw material. One of the most potential substitute is lupin (Lupinusangustifolius). However, the mass adoption of these beans as raw material for tempe production is still low. In this study, we test effects of several ratios between soybeans and lupine, by using mix starters on the characteristics and quality of a substituted tempeh. The results indicated that the best treatment for the substituted tempeh was a2b6 treatment with a 1: 2 ratio of soybeans and lupin by using the starter produced by Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). Moreover, the substituted tempeh has a low water and fiber content as well as sensory acceptable.
