Abstract

Many studies have examined the relationship between training and employee job satisfaction, the relationship between employee training and organizational commitment, the relationship between competence and employee job satisfaction, and the relationship between competence and organizational commitment, but there are still many unanswered questions. In particular, research has not explained how training and competence directly affect job satisfaction and managerial competence and how training and competence indirectly affect organizational commitment through job satisfaction. Therefore, this study investigates how training and competence directly affect job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Indirectly, training and competence affect organizational commitment through job satisfaction. Survey-based data collection was collected by purposive sampling, which included 280 employees from BPJS who participated in the training. The findings from the path analysis, along with measurements and structural tests, are very supportive of the employee training program. The findings show that employee training and competence directly affect job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The findings also show that training and employee competence indirectly affect organizational commitment through job satisfaction. Finally, employee job satisfaction affects managerial competence. This study shows that employee training is an effective way for organizations to achieve their goals. Doi: 10.28991/ESJ-2023-07-02-016 Full Text: PDF

Abstract

Abstract- The digital era has transformed organizational dynamics, necessitating innovative work behavior (IWB) as a key driver of competitive advantage. This study systematically reviews the role of technology and organizational culture in shaping IWB, focusing on their interplay and implications for organizations. The objective is to understand how technological advancements influence IWB and how aspects of organizational culture can enhance or inhibit this behavior in the digital era. Despite the growing emphasis on IWB, there is limited understanding of how technology and organizational culture jointly influence it, creating gaps in both theory and practice. This paper integrates insights from diverse studies to highlight the synergy between technology and organizational culture, proposing that their interplay is pivotal for fostering IWB. A systematic review approach was employed, synthesizing findings from peer-reviewed articles, reports, and case studies to identify trends, relationships, and critical gaps. The findings reveal that technology facilitates IWB by enabling collaboration, real time decision-making, and innovative problem-solving. However, its potential is moderated by organizational culture factors such as leadership support, openness to change, and psychological safety significantly enhance or constrain IWB. The study identifies the need for a balanced approach that aligns technological capabilities with cultural readiness. This review underscores the interdependence of technology and organizational culture in fostering IWB and highlights critical gaps and future research opportunities. Addressing these gaps can guide organizations in effectively leveraging technology and culture to sustain innovation in the digital era. Abstract

Abstract

This study presents a systematic literature review on the impact of culture on digital marketing, addressing a crucial gap in understanding how cultural differences shape consumer interactions with brands. Given the increasing globalization of markets and the diverse cultural backgrounds of consumers, understanding culture’s impact on marketing is critical for developing effective strategies that resonate across different regions. The study employs the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) model to systematically filter articles indexed by Scopus, utilizing the Publish or Perish tool for initial identification. Out of 1222 articles collected, 62 articles were selected after eliminating those that were not relevant to the research scope. The findings demonstrate that cultural factors significantly influence in digital marketing strategies, consumer behavior, consumer involvement, and the establishment of consumer loyalty. Theoretically, this study expands on existing marketing theories by integrating cultural dimensions into models of consumer behavior and brand engagement, emphasizing the need for culturally adaptive marketing frameworks. Practically, these findings provide marketers with insights into tailoring their strategies to accommodate cultural differences, thereby enhancing brand relevance and fostering long-term consumer loyalty. Additionally, a model framework for a future research agenda is proposed, focusing on integrating cultural variables into marketing decision-making processes. This framework aims to examine specific cultural factors and their impact on marketing at various levels, including strategy formulation, consumer engagement, and loyalty development. By understanding these relationships, marketers can develop more precise strategies that effectively connect with culturally diverse consumer groups, thereby enhancing marketing performance
