Abstract

Background: Low Birth Weight (LBW) is one of the risk factors that have a high contribution to infant mortality. Increasing the baby's weight is used as an indicator to determine LBW growth. In LBW babies, touch therapy is a form of stimulation to increase endurance, digestive function activities, and vagus nerve activity. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of Loving Touch Therapy (LTT) as one of the effective non-medical methods to increase body weight in LBW that can be done by parents during home care. Method: This study was a quantitative study using an experimental design and Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) design. This research conducted in 15 respondents in the intervention group with four weeks' LTT and 15 respondents in the control group who were given Tactile Kinesthetic Stimulation (TKS). Data were obtained from measurements of body weight before and after the intervention then the data were analyzed using independent t-test with significance level p-value <0.05 and multivariate analysis using linear regression.Results: 19 respondents female (63.3%) and 11 respondents male (36.6%) was participated in this research by the frequency distribution of the gender. It was a significant increase in body weight in LBW with LTT carried out by his mother for 28 days compared with TKS stimulation. The differences in the average weight gain are 197 grams. The difference is statistically significant.Conclusions: It can be concluded that LTT is more effective in increasing body weight in LBW post-hospital care because the technique is simple and sequential from the front to the back of the baby's body which makes it easier for parents to understand and physiologically doesn't lose much an energy.

Abstract

Abstract: Application of guide inquiry method with real things in increase peaces learning of fourth grade students elementary school. This Research aimed is describe applied of guide inquiry with real things in increase peaces learning of fourth grade elementary school. This research is a collaborative action research with conducted in three cycles, each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject of this research were the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Waluyorejo which consist of 27 students, .The results show that The Application of Guide Inquiry Method with Real Things can  Increase Peaces Learning   of Fourth Grade Students. Keywords: Guide Inquiry Method, Increase Learning, Pieces Number Abstrak: Penerapan Metode Inkuiri Terbimbing dengan Benda Nyata dalam Peningkatan Pembelajaran Pecahan Siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Tujuan  penelitian ini adalah medeskripsikan penerapan metode inkuiri terbimbing dengan benda nyata dalam peningkatan pembelajaran pecahan siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, masing-masing siklus mencakup tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Waluyorejo yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode inkuiri terbimbing dengan benda nyata dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran Pecahan bagi siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.   Kata Kunci : Metode Inkuiri Terbimbing, Peningkatan Pembelajaran, Bilangan   Pecahan

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pembelajaran disekolah dewasa ini masih nampak, siswa sering terlambat, siswa kurang kesadaran untuk mengerjakan pekerjaan rumah, menyontek saat ulangan dan kurangnya jiwa nasionalisme sehingga mengarah pada lunturnya nilai karakter siswa terjadi di SMK Negeri 1 Kendal. Kebijakan pendidikan karakter, implementasi, dan pelaksanaan belum terlihat di SMK Negeri 1 Kendal untuk menjawab tantangan globaloisasi dan indutrialisasi dalam perubahan budaya pada anak usia sekolah. Tujuan Penelitian adalah: (1) Mengkaji kebijakan pendidikan karakter di sekolah berwawasan kebangsaan SMK Negeri 1 Kendal Kabupaten Kendal, (2) Mengkaji implementasi pendidikan karakter di Sekolah Berwawasan Kebangsaan SMK Negeri 1 Kendal Kabupaten Kendal. Fokus penelitian ini adalah kebijakan pendidikan karakter dan implementasi pendidikan karakter sebagai landasan wawasan kebangsaan di SMK Negeri 1 Kendal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian di SMK Negeri 1 Kendal Kabupaten Kendal. Tehnik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi, dengan informan terdiri atas tiga kelompok, yaitu pengelola sekolah, guru, dan siswa. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: (1) kebijakan pendidikan karakter yang dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Kendal dilaksanakan sesuai dengan keinginan bersama warga sekolah yang diwujudkan melalui SK Kepala Sekolah. Pendidikan karakter diwujudkan dalam budaya 5S seperti senyum, salam, sapa, sopan, dan santun, (2) pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter dilakukan melalui pembiasaan dengan memberikan teladan oleh guru kepada siswanya. The implementation of school learning today still seems that the students are often late, lack of awareness to do homework, cheating on daily examination, and lack of spirit of nationalism that led to the fading of student’s character occur in SMK N 1 Kendal. The character building policy, implementation, and execution have not been seen in SMK N 1 Kendal to answer the challenges of the global era and industry in cultural change for students. The purposes of this study are: (1) analyzing the character building policy in the national vision school SMK N 1 Kendal, (2) Analyzing the implementation of character building at the National vision School SMK N 1 Kendal. The focus of this research is character building policy and implementation of character building as the national vision in SMK N 1 Kendal. This study uses a qualitative approach. The location of the study is in SMK N 1 Kendal. The technique of data collection uses interviews and observations, which the informants consist of three groups: school administrators, teachers, and students. Data analysis technique is conducted with interactive analysis. The results of the study show (1) the policy of character building applied in SMK N 1 Kendal is properly implemented by the community of the school realized through the decree of Principal. The character building is realized in the 5S habituation like smiles, shaking hands, greetings, polite, and courtesy. (2) The implementation of character building is applied through habituation by examples of teachers to their students.

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine: (1) the influence of teaching experience, mastery of learning media and productivity of teacher teaching on teachers terfomance of Elementary School, (2) the influence of teacher teaching experienceon perfomance of Elementary School, (3) the influence of teacher mastery of learning media perfomance of Elementary School, (4) the influence of productivity of teacher teaching perfomance of Elementary School. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The variables in this research are teaching experience, mastery of learning media, productivity of teaching, and teachers perfomance.The population in this research is teachers of the State Elementary School in Kecamatan Sewon Kabupaten Bantul which amounts to 138 teachers. To make sample of this research is representative to the population’s member, sample was draw by using simple random sampling technique. Furthermore researcher choose 107 teachers of Elementary School in Kecamatan Sewon Kabupaten Bantul as sample of research. The dataacquisition were obtained via documentation and questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using the multiple linier regression formula involving three independent variabels and using the partial correlation formula, after testing the normality test, linearity test, and multycollinearity test. The result of data analysis shows that: (1) there is a positive and very significant influence of teaching experience, mastery of learning media and productivity of teacher teaching on teachers perfomance amounts 47,3%; (2) there is a positive and very signivicant teacher teaching experience to teacher performance amounts 23,2%; (3) there is a positive and very significant influence mastery of learning media of teacher teaching on teachers perfomance amounts 8,7%; (4) there is a positive and very significant productivity of teacher teaching on teachers perfomance amounts 15,4. The suggestion from researcher is the next researcher can reveal the unreveal relative contribution to get better result.

Abstract

This research analyzes many factors that influence the behavior so that can prevent HIV/AIDS by using condom consistently in group of truck driver who usually stay for awhile in the truck stop area. Descriptive co relational used in this research, with the cross sectional approach. Total technique sampling is used to recruit 50 samples. Data has been collected using a questioner and been analyzed using a chi square test. The result of this study reveals there is a relationship between a knowledge (p = 0,001), perception (p=0,001), condom availability (p=0,001) and role of health services (p=0,001) with the behavior of preventing HIV/AIDS. Based on logistic regression test, the most influence factor in using condom consistently is knowledge.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the Kegel exercise on frequency of urinary incontinence in the elderly. This study used a quasi -experimental with one group pre and post test study design, conducted on 27 respondents selected by purposive sampling technique. Respondents were divided into three groups which were the first group with frequency of exercise 2 times, the second group with 3 times and the third group 4 times a day for six weeks. Data on the frequency of urinary incontinence were collected in pre and post intervention Kegel exercise. Data were analyzed using t-test (paired t-test).The results of the study revealed that group I , II and III in sequence value of t-count 21.92, t=11,418 and t=15.307 with P values p=0, 00. Further comparisons between the three groups showed group III showed the mean frequency of urinary incontinence at least. It can be concluded that Kegel exercises affect the decrease in the frequency of urinary incontinence in the elderly, and it is suggested that Kegel exercises should be done regularly.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the relationship between therapeutic communication done by nurses and the anxiety of family members of hospitalized child who are suffering from infectious diseases. A total of 44 respondents were included in this study using purposive sampling technique. The data were taken using a questionnaire on therapeutic communication and anxiety with a closed question types. The data then were processed using Kendal tau statistical tests with 95% significance level. The results of the analysis shows that 75 % of respondents experienced minor anxiety, 13.6 % had moderate anxiety, and 11.4 % had severe anxiety. Data on therapeutic communication indicates that 9.1 % of nurses less communicate, 52.3 % make enough communication, and 36.6 % make a good communication. Correlation analysis using Kendal tau technique shows that there is a relationship between therapeutic communication done by a nurse and the degree of anxiety experienced by families whose child are being hospitalized with infectious diseases (ä = -0.34 , p = 0.018 ). Nurses should always apply the principles of therapeutic communication to communicate with patients because it can minimize the stress and improve the process of adaptation to stress.

Abstract

Background – The graduated nurses have increased for several years, in Central Java in 2011 there were 50 000 graduated diploma, but not all graduates can be absorbed in the health services, only 4-10 per cent per year (Kompas, December 3, 2011). The low uptake of graduates also occurred in Blora Nursing Study Programme, Tha data of the year 2008 - 2011, graduates got the job before the sixth month in a row - were 2008 (15%), 2009 (16%), 2010 (1.6%) and 2011 (6.5%). More details of the percentage above 50% internship at the Public Hospital and Primary Health Center, 10% as Government Civilization, 1% working at private health centers and 0.5% working in the International Institutions, but they have already resigned before the contract was completed and choosed to work closed by their parents (CDC Prodi Nursing Blora, 2012). From this description it can be seen that the low uptake was influenced by several factors such as ability, motivation, interests, personality and potential. These factors were also associated with the selection of workplace among graduate nurses. Purpose -The aim of this research was to determine the relationship among interests, self- potential (intelligence) and personality in choosing workplace among graduated nurses. Research Design -This research design was a descriptive survey and 78 candidates graduated nurses from Blora Nursing Study Program involved in 2012 in this study. The data was analyzed with the Multiple Linear Regression. Results - The results showed that there was a significant relationship among these variables of interest, potential (intelligence) and personality in choosing workplace, with the value F count F 0,05 was 28.400 2.730, and the coefficient of determination of 53.5%, which means 46.5% influenced by other factors. Furthermore when the influence of each variables were viewed individually, the intelligence variable indicated that there was a significant relation to the selection of workplace, it was showed by t count t table that was 5.861 1.994. Conclusion - It can be concluded that there was a significant relationship among interest, self-potential (intelligence) and personality to workplace selection among graduated nurses from Blora Nursing Study Program in 2012, and the intelligence factor has been the most significant relationship in the selection of the work area. The next studies should look at other factors that influence of motivation among graduated nurses in the selection of workplace.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the practice of the use of condoms in high-risk groups (women workers karaoke and cafe) in the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS in Blora in the café and karaoke in Blora. This research is descriptive correlation with cross-sectional approach. Selection of study subjects were made in total sampling as many as 35 people. Subjects of this study were women who worked in nightclubs as a waitress café, cafe guides and karaoke singer in Blora in 2014. Data was analysed using Chi Square Test. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge (p=0.001), attitudes (p=0.002), support of health workers (p=0.009) and support of clients (p=0.001) with the practice of condom use in high-risk groups (women workers karaoke and cafes) in the prevention of STDs, HIV/AIDS. It is suggested that the need for the provision of information on women who work in karaoke about the danger of STDs, HIV/AIDS. Moreover it is important to provide the availability of information about the use of condoms by the client when performing sexual transactions. It is suggested for the next researchers to study the qualitative research on this area.

Abstract

The spread of Covid-19 cannot be stopped, but people must start adapting to new life habits or “New Normal Life”. This activity aims to increase knowledge and empower the community in adapting to a new life during the Covid-19 pandemic. Target residents of Temurejo Village, Blora. Methods include preparation, organizing, education and training, self-empowerment and integration, implementation and termination. The activity begins with coordination, preparation, determining the territory and schedule of activities. Followed by organizing, coordinating with the head of Temurejo Village, community representatives and the Covid -19 cluster. Education and training to increase public knowledge and understanding of health protocols and self-empowerment during a pandemic. Empowerment and integration by exploring the potential of the community which is integrated with the urgent need in the pandemic era, namely the manufacture of handwashing with the stepping method. Implementation by handing over hand-washing tools and disinfectants, demonstrations of washing hands and spraying public places. The final stage is monitoring evaluation and activity reporting. Activities carried out in accordance with the targets and activity plans. The potential of adequate human resources in receiving science and technology, health protocol procedures and assistance in making hand washing equipment using the stepping method can be developed into a productive effort to become a UMKM in the era of new normal life.It is hoped that there will be similar activities that are regularly scheduled to maintain a healthy lifestyle and develop community potential-based UMKM formation activities.
