Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan kalsium organik mikropartikel dari cangkang telur dalam ransum dengan tambahan asam sitrat sebagai acidifier terhadap kecernaan protein, massa kalsium dan massa protein daging pada ayam broiler. Ternak yang digunakan adalah ayam broiler strain Cobb umur 15 hari sebanyak 160 ekor dengan bobot badan 413.10±11.85g. Penelitian disusun dalam rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan dengan setiap perlakuan masing-masing 8 ekor. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu T0 (ransum kontrol), T1 (ransum dengan protein 18%), T2 (ransum dengan protein 18% menggunakan Ca mikropartikel), T3 (ransum dengan protein 18% + asam sitrat 1,2%), dan T4 (ransum dengan protein 18% menggunakan Ca mikropartikel + asam sitrat 1,2%). Parameter yang diamati adalah kecernaan protein, massa kalsium (Ca) daging, dan massa protein daging. Data diolah statistik dengan analisis ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji ganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam ransum 18% protein dengan penggunaan kalsium organik mikropartikel dan tambahan asam sitrat (T4) nyata (P<0,05) meningkatkan kecernaan protein dan massa protein daging dengan nilai tertinggi masing-masing 89.43% dan 46.37g, tetapi massa Ca daging paling tinggi pada perlakuan ransum kontrol (T0) (9.76g). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan protein ransum dapat dikategorikan efektif  pada broiler yang diberi 18% protein ransum menggunakan kalsium organik mikropartikel dengan suplementasi asam sitrat sebagai acidifier.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of dietary inclusion of 2% synbiotic (Lactobacillus casei + dahlia tuber extract/LEDT or Lactobacillus casei + garlic extract/LEGT) on intestinal bacteria, nutrient digestibility, and growth of broiler chickens. A total of 150 birds of one-day-old male Cobb broiler were randomly assigned into three groups of treatment with five replications (10 birds each). Dietary treatments applied were T0 = basal ration, T1 = basal ration + 2% LEDT, T2 = basal ration + 2% LEGT. Synbiotics were given to starter chicken (from 2 to 3 weeks old). Parameters observed were intestinal bacteria (total lactic acid bacteria/LAB and coliform counts), nutrients digestibility, and body weight. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and followed by Duncan test. The results showed that the population of intestinal LAB in synbiotic-treated birds significantly (P<0.05) increased while coliform decreased as compared to control group. Protein and crude fiber digestibilities, and growth of broiler chickens given dietary inclusion of synbiotic either LEDT or LEGT were also significantly (P<0.05) higher than those fed control diet. In conclusion, dietary inclusion of 2% synbiotic LEDT increase body weight of broiler chickens through the improved balance of intestinal microbiota and nutrients digestibility.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of feeding durian seed flour as corn substitution on heterophyl/lymphocyte (H/L) ratio and hen day production (HDP). Experimental animals were 120 birds of laying hens allocated into for 4 treatments with 5 repications. Treatments applied were T0= without durian seed flour (control); T1= 3% durian seed flour to substitute corn; T2= 6% durian seed flour to substitute corn; and T3: 9% of durian seed flour to substitute corn. The parameters observed were serum glutamate oksaloasetate transaminase (SGOT), H / L ratio and hen day production (HDP). Data were analyzed using analysis of varian sand continued to Duncan's multiple range test if the treatments showed the significant effect. The results showed that the treatment with durian seed flour at the level of 9% (T3) was significant (P <0.05) on SGOT, H/L ratio,  and HDP. In conclusion, durian seed flour at the level of 9% resultsincreases  SGOT, H / L ratio,and a decreases HDP.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan ekstrak buah Noni (Morinda citrifolia) dalam ransum terhadap profil lemak pada ayam broiler. Sejumlah 200 ekor ayam broiler dengan bobot badan 245,67 ± 10,27 g, eksktrak buah Noni (EBN), ethanol absolute, kertas saring, spuit, vacum tainer, alkohol dan alat tulis digunakan pada penelitian ini. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan (masing-masing diisi 10 ekor). Perlakuan yang diterapkan meliputi Kontrol (+) = Ransum control/RK, Kontrol (-) = RK+Bacitracin 0,04%, T1= RK+EBN 0,04%, T2= RK+EBN 0,08%, dan T3= RK+EBN 0,12%. Parameter yang diukur meliputi kolesterol, trigliserida, high density lipoprotein dan low density lipoprotein darah. Data dilakukan uji Anova dan beda nyata Duncan pada taraf 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa penambahan EBN berpengaruh (p<0,05) terhadap kolesterol darah, trigliserida, high density lipoprotein dan low density lipoprotein. Penambahan EBN pada level 0,12% (T3) mampu menurunkan kadar kolesterol, trigliserida dan low density lipoprotein darah serta meningkatkan high density lipoprotein darah dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Simpulan adalah profil lemak darah yang ditambahkan EBN sampai level 0,12% (T3) mampu menjaga kesehatan tubuh.

Abstract

Sari jeruk nipis mengandung asam sitrat dapat digunakan sebagai aditif alami untuk unggas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penambahan sari jeruk nipis dalam ransum terhadap profil lemak darah pada ayam pelung jantan. Ayam pelung jantan sebanyak 64 ekor dengan bobot badan awal 1.084,44±210,89 g, digunakan sebagai ternak percobaan. Perlakuan meliputi T0: ransum peternak tanpa sari jeruk nipis, T1: ransum peternak+1 % sari jeruk nipis, T2: ransum peternak+2 % sari jeruk nipis, dan T3: ransum peternak+3 % sari jeruk nipis. Penelitian disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok (masing-masing 4 ekor) berdasarkan bobot badan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi kolesterol, trigliserida, high density lipoprotein (HDL) dan low density lipoprotein (LDL) darah. Data dianalisis ragam dan jika berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05) dilanjutkan uji ganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan sari jeruk nipis dalam ransum nyata (p<0,05) menurunkan trigliserida, LDL dan meningkatkan HDL darah, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap kolesterol. Simpulan adalah penambahan 3 % sari jeruk nipis dalam ransum mampu menurunkan trigliserida, LDL dan meningkatkan HDL pada ayam pelung jantan dengan kolesterol darah masih dalam batas normal

Abstract

A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of adding inulin from dahlia tube extract (DTE) and papain enzyme in the feed using protein and calcium microparticles on nutrient absrorption (protein and calcium), nutrient content (protein and calcium content) meat and meat weight on broiler. A total of 200 one-day-old unsex broiler chicks with feeding of treatment 8 days old with an average body weight 137.63±12.03 g. The experiment consisted of completely randomized design with 4 treatment and 5 replice, each 10 bird. The treatment applied were P0: feed with microparticle protein and calcium, P1: P0+DTE 1.17%, P2: P0+enzim papain 0.15%, dan P3: P0+DTE 1.17%+papain enzyme 0.15%. The parameters observed were protein and calcium absrorption, meat protein and calcium content, and meat weight. The data were processed based on analysis of variance followed by Duncan's multiple area test at the 5% level. The results showed that the addition of inulin and papain enzymes in the ration containing protein and calcium microparticles had a significant effect (p<0.05) on protein and calcium absorption, protein and calcium content of meat, and weight of broiler meat. The conclusion, a mixture of inulin from 1.17% DTE and 0.15% papain enzyme (P3) in the feed using a protein source and calcium microparticles resulted in the best nutrient intake and weight of broiler meat with the highest protein and calcium content.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji penambahan tepung umbi dahlia pada ransum menggunakan sumber protein mikropartikel terhadap pertumbuhan tulang ayam broiler. Ayam percobaan yang digunakan adalah broiler unsexed strain CP 707 umur 15 hari sebanyak 200 ekor dengan bobot rata-rata 493,56 ± 7,10 g. Bahan perlakuan yang digunakan adalah tepung umbi dahlia (TUD) dan sumber protein mikropartiel (tepung ikan dan bungkil kedelai).Penelitian disusun dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, masing-masing diisi 10 ekor. Perlakuan yang diuji yaitu T0 (Ransum kadar protein 21%), T1 (Ransum kadar protein kasar/PK 18%), T2 (Ransum sumber protein mikropartikel dengan PK 18%), T3 (Ransum kadar PK 18% + TUD 1,2%), T4 (Ransum sumber protein mikropartikel dengan PK 18% + TUD 1,2%). Parameter yang diukur meliputi populasi BAL, pH, coliform usus halus, retensi Ca, massa Ca tulang, panjang dan bobot femur/tibia serta bobot karkas. Data diolah dengan analysis of variance pada taraf 5% (p<0,05) untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan dan uji lanjut Duncan pada taraf 5% (p<0,05) untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ransum sumber protein mikropartikel dan TUD berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05) terhadap populasi BAL, pH, coliform usus halus, retensi Ca, massa Ca tulang, panjang dan berat tulang tibia serta bobot karkas. Tetapi perlakuan tidak berpengaruh (p>0,05) terhadap panjang dan bobot tulang femur. Simpulannya adalah pemberian ransum menggunakan sumber protein mikropartikel 18% dengan penambahan TUD pada perlakuan T4 dapat meningkatkan populasi BAL diikuti penurunan pH dan coliform usus halus sehingga meningkatkan retensi Ca, massa Ca tulang, panjang dan bobot tibia, tetapi menghasilkan panjang dan bobot tulang femur sama.Bone Growth and Carcas Production of Broiler Using Sources of Microparticle Protein and Dahlia Tuber PowderABSTRACT. The aim of the study was to examine the addition of dahlia tuber powder to the feed using a source of microparticle protein on the bone growth of broiler chickens. The experimental chickens used were 200 unsexed broiler strain CP 707 aged 15 days with an average weight of 493.56 ± 7.10 g. The treatment used dahlia tuber powder and source of microparticles protein (fish meal and soybean meal). The study was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications, eachs 10 birds. The treatment measure T0 (Feed of protein crude 21%), T1 (Feed of protein crude 18%), T2 (Feed of source of microparticles protein with protein crude 18%), T3 (Feed of source of non-microparticles protein with protein crude 18%+dahlia tuber powder 1.2%), and T4 (Feed of source of microparticles protein with protein crude 18%+dahlia tuber powder 1.2%). The parameters measure lactic acid bacteria, pH, coliform of intestinal, calcium (Ca) retention, bone Ca mass, bone length and weight of femur and femur, carcass weight. Data were processed by analysis of variance at 5% level (p<0.05) to determine the effect of treatment and Duncan's test at 5% level (p<0.05) to determine differences between treatments. The results showed that the use source of microparticle protein and dahlia tuber powder had a significant effect (p<0.05) on lactic acid bacteria, pH, coliform of intestinal, Ca retention, bone Ca mass, tibia bone length and weight and carcass weight. But the treatment had no effect (p>0.05) on the length and weight of the femur. The conclusion was that the feeding of 18% microparticle protein source with the addition of dahlia tuber powder in the T4 treatment could increase lactic acid bacteria populationfollowed by a decrease in pH and coliform, thereby increasing Ca retention, bone Ca mass, tibia length and weight, and carcass weight, but produces the same length and weight of the femur.Keywords: Bone growth, broilers, dahlia tuber powder, source of  microparticle protein.

(Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).This study aimed to examine the effect of synbiotic levels (a combination of L.casei and glucomannan from porang tuber extract) and the duration of administration on the growth of the digestive tract and the performance of Tegal ducks. A total of 180 male Tegal ducks, 2 days old with an average body weight of 42,33±2,54 were used in this study. The treatment rations were prepared with a metabolic energy of 3000 kcal/kg and crude protein 18%. The research was arranged in a factorial completely randomized design, with 2 factors. The first factor was the synbiotic level (1 and 2%), while the second factor was the duration of synbiotic administration (2,3 and 4 weeks). The collected data were analyzed for variance and continued with the Duncan multiple region test. The results showed that there was an interaction between the synbiotic level and the duration of synbiotic administration on the length of the duodenum, jejenum and ileum as well as the final body weight of Tegal ducks. The conclusion was that 2% of synbiotics for 4 weeks increased intestinal growth and body weight of Tegal ducks.

Abstract

 The research was aimed to evaluate feeding effect of powder and extract of dahlia tuber as a sources of inulin prebiotic on protein digestibility and productivity of crossbred local chicken. A total of 280 unsex local crossbred chicken with the age of 22 days and average weight of 180.46±1.21 g was assigned in a completely randomized design with 7 treatments and 4 replications (10 birds each). Dietary treatments consist of T0 (basal ration), T1 (T0 + 0.4% dahlia powder), T2 (T0 + 0.8% dahlia powder), T3 (T0 + 1.2% dahlia powder), T4 (T0 + 0.39% dahlia extract), T5 (T0 + 0.78% dahlia extract), T6 (T0 + 1.17% extract dahlia). Treatment was conducted for 8 consecutive weeks. Variables observed were protein digestibility, short chain fatty acid (SCFA), muscle protein mass, muscle calsium mass, and body weight. The data were analyzed using ANOVA and followed by Duncan test at the level of 5%. The results showed that feeding inulin in the form of powder or extract of dahlia tuber significantly (P0.05) increased protein digestibility, SCFA level, and body weight. Treatments T2 until T6 significantly (P0.05) increased muscle calsium mass but did not increase muscle protein mass. In conclusion, the used of 1.2% dahlia powder and 1.17% extract dahlia tuber as an inulin source increase protein digestibility and productivity of crossbred local chicken.Key words: inulin, dahlia tuber, crossbred local chicken

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of the addition of palm kernel meal extract (PKME) to rations using microparticle protein sources on fatty meat and carcass weight of broiler chickens. The experimental chickens used were unsexed CP707 strain broilers aged 8 days as many as 200 birds with an average body weight of 153.98 ± 4.41 g. Palm kernel meal extract as treatment material. Ration composition includes ground corn, rice bran, microparticle soybean meal, microparticle fish meal, CaCO3, premix, lysine and methionine. The study was arranged using a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replicates, each experimental unit was filled with 10 animals. The treatments applied are: T0=rations using protein microparticles/RPM, T1=RPM+PKME 0,2%, T2=RK+PKME 0,4%, T3=PKME+EBS 0,6% dan T4=PKME+EBS 0,8%. Parameters measured included fat digestibility, relative weight of abdominal fat, meat fat mass and carcass weight. Data were analyzed for variance at the 5% significance level, if there was a significant effect, Duncan's test was conducted at the 5% significance level. The results showed that the addition of EBS to rations using microparticle protein sources had a significant effect (p<0.05) on fat digestibility, relative weight of abdominal fat, meat fat mass and carcass weight of broiler chickens. The conclusion is that the addition of 0.8% palm kernel meal extract to rations using microparticle protein sources can reduce fat digestibility, relative weight of abdominal fat, meat fat mass and carcass weight of broiler chickens.
