Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis tumbuhan obat apa saja yang digunakan bagian organ tumbuhan apa saja yang digunakan, cara pengolahan tumbuhan obat, jenis penyakit  apa  saja  yang disembuhkan menggunakan tumbuhan obat oleh masyarakat Desa Kletek, Kecamatan Malaka Tengah, Kabupaten Malaka. Jenis penelitian ini adalah peneltian deskriptif, metode yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan data yaitu dengan observasi langsung dan wawancara. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian terdapat 16 jenis yang  tergabung  dalam 13 famili  tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai obat tradisional untuk menyembuhkan penyakit pada manusia oleh masyarakat Desa Kletek yaitu Kecubung (D. metel L.), Jambu biji (P. guajava L.), Patikan kebo (E. hirta L.), Meniran (P. niruri L.), Papaya (C. papaya L.), Belimbing wuluh (A. bilimbi L.), Jarak pagar (J. curcas L.), Biduri (C. gigantea L), Pohon asam (T. indica L.), Kepok randu (C. pentandra L.), Beringin (F. benjamina L.), Kesambi (Z. oleosa L.), Kunyit (C. longa L.), Lengkuas (A. galanga L.),  Jahe (Z. officinale Roscoe), Daun Sirih (P. battle Linn.). Bagian tumbuhan yang digunakan  adalah  daun,  buah,  batang,  rimpang,  akar,  kulit.  Cara  pengolahan  yaitu  ditumbuk,  direbus, dikunya, diremas, diperas dan diberikan secara langsung. Adapun khasiat dari setiap jenis tumbuhan obat yang digunakan untuk menyembuhkan penyakit pada manusia berbeda-beda dimana dari 21 jenis penyakit atau gangguan kesehatan pada manusia yang dapat disembuhkan yaitu : ambeien, diare, kangker payudara, kencing manis, kencing batu, sakit telinga, malaria, sakit kepala, sakit gigi, sariawan, memperlancar air susu, amandel, bisul, patah tulang, cacar air, gatal-gatal, bengkak bernana, panu, batuk, perut sakit, kepala sakit. Jenis tumbuhan yang paling banyak digunakan adalah jambu biji, patikan kebo, jarak pagar, kesambi,dan sirih hutan

Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out the types of medicinal plants used by the Watumite Village community, find out how to use each type of medicinal plant used and find out what medicinal plant booklets are used by the Watumite Village community. Watumite Village community is suitable for use as a biology learning medium. The type of research used is research and development with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). This research uses a qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach. The qualitative approach used is to describe the types of medicinal plants used by the Watumite Village community. Meanwhile, a quantitative approach was carried out by calculating the results of the validation of the booklet developed which was then analyzed descriptively. The results of research on medicinal plant identification based on interviews with 10 respondents living in 4 hamlets in Watumite Village obtained 32 types of medicinal plants originating from 22 families. The findings of 32 types of medicinal plants packaged as Biology learning media in booklet form have been validated by material experts and media experts with a percentage value of 85% from material experts and 84% from media experts, declared valid. The conclusions from this research are: (1) There are 32 types of medicinal plants used by the community in Watumite Village; (2) The use of each type of medicinal plant includes the part of the plant used as medicine, the type of disease treated, and the method of processing; (3) Development of a Medicinal Plants booklet for the Watumite Village Community is categorized as suitable as a biology learning medium.

Abstract

Health is a basic need for human life. With the advancement of medical technology in humans, it is increasingly modern, so that more people choose to go to the hospital or to the health center because the treatment services are more efficient. With more efficient treatment, traditional medicine is rarely found. Even though this treatment is rarely found, some people still use this treatment, due to considerable economic limitations. Therefore it is necessary to add to the community's insight regarding how to manage traditional medicinal plants to treat diseases in humans. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the respondents, determine the potential of medicinal plant species, the parts used to treat diseases and find out the habitus found in the village. Your naitimu. The type of research used is descriptive research, namely by direct observation. The method used in this study is semi-structured interviews. The research procedures include determining key informants, determining respondents, research instruments, interviews, exploration, documentation, identification, description and classification. The results of the study found 15 respondents who had knowledge about medicinal plants with an uneven ratio of the number of male and female respondents, consisting of 7 male respondents and 8 female respondents. The use of medicinal plants by the community is widely known and practiced by people aged 45–49 years. Obtained 18 types of medicinal plants, namely: Cashew (western cashew), Moringa (Moringa oleifera), Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus), Soursop (Annona muricata), Aromatic ginger (Kaempferia galanga), Turmeric (Turmeric is long), Curcuma (Curcuma zanthorrhiza), Pawpaw (Upload papaya), Red Amber (Jatropha), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Patikan Kebo (Euphorbia hirta), For-For (Cylindrical orders), Guava (Psidium guajava), Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri), Kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata), Mimosa (Mimosa chaste), African Leaf (Vernonia amygdalina) and Basil (Ocimum basilicum). The part of the plant used is the leaves (Leaf), Rhizomes (Rhizomes), Wants (Radix), Young (Stem), and Fruit peel(Pericarpium). There are 4 plant habitus namely herbs, shrubs, shrubs and trees The conclusion from this study was that there were 15 respondents consisting of 7 men and 8 women. The use of medicinal plants by the community is widely known and carried out by people aged 45–49 years. There were 18 types of plants that have medicinal potential. The parts of the plant used are leaves, fruit skin, rhizomes, stems and roots. There are 4 plant habitus namely herbs, shrubs, shrubs and trees.

Abstract

Abstrak Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan beberapa guru biologi di Kota Kupang, termasuk guru biologi SMAN 9 Kota Kupang, diketahui bahwa guru telah mengenal banyak model pembelajaran inovatif dan telah mencantumkannya dalam perangkat pembelajaran yang mereka susun namun dalam pelaksanaan di kelas guru tidak melaksanakannya seperti apa yang tertulis karena guru belum memahami sintaks model-model pembelajaran inovatif dengan baik sehingga masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengimplementasikan model-model pembelajaran tersebut sesuai dengan karakteristik mata pelajaran yang diampu Berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra, maka tim pelaksana melakukan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dengan tema pelatihan penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran biologi berbasis model-model pembelajaran inovatif bagi guru-guru SMA di Kota Kupang. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatan pemahaman dan pengetahuan guru-guru biologi di Kota Kupang terkait penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran biologi berbasis model-model pembelajaran inovatif sehingga guru-guru biologi dapat menerapkannya model-model pembelajaran tersebut di dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah yaitu pelatihan, pendampingan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan April 2024, dihadiri oleh 34 peserta, dan dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 9 Kota Kupang. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan, terdapat peningkatan pemahaman guru dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran biologi berbasis model-model pembelajaran inovatif sebesar 22,83 dengan nilai N-gain 0,21 dan setelah dilakukan kegiatan pendampingan, pemantauan dan evaluasi diketahui bahwa guru-guru biologi dapat melaksanakan sintaks model pembelajaran discovery, inquiry dan problem based learning secara baik dan dapat melaksanakan sintaks model project base learning dengan sangat baik. Kata kunci: pelatihan; perangkat pembelajaran; model-model pembelajaran inovatif. Abstract Based on the results of interviews with several biology teachers in Kupang City, including biology teachers of SMAN 9 Kupang City, it is known that teachers are familiar with many innovative learning models and have included them in the learning tools they compile but in the implementation in the classroom teachers do not implement them as written because teachers do not understand the syntax of innovative learning models well so that they still have difficulty in implementing these learning models according to the characteristics of the subjects they teach Based on the problems faced by partners, the implementation team conducted community service activities with the theme of training in the preparation of biology learning tools based on innovative learning models for high school teachers in Kupang City. The purpose of this activity is to increase the understanding and knowledge of biology teachers in Kupang City related to the preparation of biology learning tools based on innovative learning models so that biology teachers can apply these learning models in learning. The methods used in this activity are training, mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. This community service activity was carried out in April 2024, attended by 34 participants, and held at SMA Negeri 9 Kupang City. As a result of the training activities, there was an increase in teachers' understanding in preparing learning tools. Keywords: training; learning tools; innovative learning models.

Abstract

Masalah pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA khususnya Biologi yang disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru dan siswa pasif dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu tawaran solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah menggunakan model Problem Based Learning. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII pada materi pokok Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup di SMP Negeri 10 Kupang Tahun Ajaran 2018/ 2019. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Kupang. Sampelnya adalah kelas VII A. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan observasi. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif, statistik inferensial dan uji Anacova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai posstest pada kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model problem based learning lebih tinggi yaitu 83,66 dibandingkan pada kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model pembelajaran langsung yaitu 71. Hasil uji Anacova menunjukkan nilai F hitung yaitu 0,000 atau lebih kecil dari 0,05. Dengan nilai rerata pada kelas eksperimen secara signifikan lebih tinggi yaitu 83.653 % jika dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yaitu 70.514 %. Hasil aktivitas siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran di kelas eksperimen juga lebih tinggi yaitu 92,70% dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yaitu 91,61%. Dan kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen termasuk dalam kategori baik yaitu 96,5%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMP Negeri 10 Kupang pada materi pokok klasifikasi makhluk hidup Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019.

Abstract

Longot Beach is one of the spiritual tourism destinations located in Lewoblolong Village, Ile Boleng District, East Flores Regency. To date, the number and types of gastropods in the intertidal zone of Longot Beach remain unknown. The purpose of this research is to determine the diversity and abundance of gastropod species at Longot Beach and to develop a biology learning medium in the form of a booklet. This research employs a research and development approach using the ADDIE model. The findings revealed 12 species of gastropods, namely Costoanachis sertulariarum, Cypraea pantherina, Conus miliaris, Conus lividus, Cypraea annulus, Nerita exuvia, Cellana nigrolineata, Cerithium zonatum, Cabestana cutacea, Canarium mutabile, Strombus alatus, and Nassarius mutabilis. The diversity index was calculated at 2.369803632, which falls into the moderate category. The highest species abundance index was 1.1 ind/m², while the lowest was 0.2 ind/m². The validation results of the booklet by media experts achieved a percentage of 80.08%, and by material experts, 89.28%, with an average of 84.68%, categorized as highly valid as a learning medium. The conclusion of this study is as follows: 12 species of gastropods were identified at Longot Beach with a diversity index in the moderate category, species abundance of 0.2 ind/m², and the developed booklet on gastropod diversity and abundance at Longot Beach in Lewoblolong Village is classified as valid for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

The students' learning outcomes are still low due to the teaching model used by teachers being suboptimal and the lack of utilization of learning media. A teaching model that can address this issue is the Discovery Learning model. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model assisted by audiovisual media on the learning outcomes of Grade VII students on the topic of Interactions Between Living Organisms and Their Environment at SMPN 1 Nagawutung Lembata during the 2023/2024 academic year. This research employs a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques include descriptive data analysis and inferential data analysis. The study results show that the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class applying the Discovery Learning model assisted by audiovisual media were as follows: pretest average score of 50.15, posttest average score of 81.56, and N-Gain of 0.62, categorized as high. Meanwhile, the control class using the direct teaching model had a pretest average score of 45.15, posttest average score of 66.40, and N-Gain of 0.39, categorized as low. Based on the ANCOVA test results, the significance level was 0.043 < 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis (H?) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H?) is accepted. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning model assisted by audiovisual media affects the learning outcomes of Grade VII students on the topic of Interactions Between Living Organisms and Their Environment at SMPN 1 Nagawutung Lembata during the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in science learning, particularly biology, are due to the perception that biology material is difficult and boring. One way to improve students' learning outcomes is by using the guided inquiry learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on the learning outcomes of Grade VII students in the topic of interactions between living organisms and their environment at SMPK St. Agustinus Adisucipto Penfui Kupang.The sample for this research consisted of Grade VII C students as the experimental class, using the guided inquiry learning model, and Grade VII D students as the control class, using the direct instruction model. The type of research employed was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. The research design used was the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data analysis techniques included descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the study showed that the average learning mastery of students in the experimental class had a pretest score of 53.23 and a posttest score of 81.61, with an N-Gain of 0.60, categorized as high. Meanwhile, the control class had an average pretest score of 45.5 and a posttest score of 72.5, with an N-Gain of 0.48, categorized as moderate. Based on the ANCOVA test results, the significance value was 0.001 < 0.05, which led to the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho) and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). Thus, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning model significantly affects the learning outcomes of Grade VII students in the topic of interactions between living organisms and their environment at SMPK St. Agustinus Adisucipto Penfui Kupang.
