Abstract

Reading interest is very important in development of generation and the current issue in Indonesian education. Researchers try to carry out classroom action research that is the application of web comic to increase student’s reading interest in English literature at Ibrahimy University. The purpose of this study is to know through the application of web comic can increase student’s reading interest and reading skills and to know through the application of web comic can improve student’s reading comprehension at Ibrahimy University of Situbondo. The results of this study can be concluded that the use of web comic can increase student’s reading interest and improve student’s reading skills at Ibrahimy University of Situbondo, student’s reading comprehension also progressed from the percentage of student’s reading success from 40.63% to 93.75%.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has produced many breakthroughs especially the appearance of communication platforms that gave colour to English learning in Indonesia. Therefore computers are very useful in language class, although basically computers are only tools for mediating student’s communication in English learning. This paper describes Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) in English learning.

Abstract

The mosque is an instrument of empowering the people that has a very strategic role in efforts to improve the quality of society. Mosques are used as a center of activity in Islamic socitey. Since the time of the Prophet, the mosque has been a center for empowering the people that has had an unlimited role. This outreach program aims to assist the mosque management in Banyuputih District, Situbondo Regency in planning and designing programs to strengthen the function of mosques in the economic empowerment of the people. From the results of this outreach program, it can be concluded that the efforts that had been made by mosque management in running a Mosque-Based Society Service Center was running a mushroom cultivation business which includes the production process, quality control, and marketing.

Abstract

This study was structured with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of using the pat method to improve the cognitive abilities of early childhood in T.A Al-Manaar Ngabar for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 14 students. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles with each cycle consisting of 4 stages, namely the first stage is plaining (planning), the second stage is acting (implementing). Observing (observation) and the fourth stage is reflecting (reflecting). This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, which is from November to December. The subjects of this study were early childhood group B consisting of 14 students. The object of research is physical motor skills and the clapping method. Data collection techniques using observation. Research data obtained during action research until the final assessment of the action. The results showed that the results of the initial test after the action in the first cycle of 14 students there were 7 students (51.66%) experienced an increase, while in the second cycle students (81.66%). Thus the use of the pat method in the theme of introducing the pillars of Islam can improve children's cognitive abilities.

Abstract

Not a few business people are still involved in usury transactions, reducing scales, committing gharar and fraud. With this fact, researchers are interested in examining whether UMKM Sumber Barokah whose owners are Muslim have implemented Islamic business ethics as the basis of their business activities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenology and case study approach. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Supporting factors for UMKM sumber barokah are: consumers know the product because it has good quality product, services can be done outside of working hours and have been known by people from outside the district and even outside the city. It also has employees who are skilled in making rengginang well. The inhibiting factors for UMKM sumber barokah are: the lack of capital that hindered business development, during the rainy season the production of rengginang is slightly hampered because the drying process still 100% depends on the intensity of sunlight, and in certain seasons it was difficult to get fish used as a product mix, and promotion on social media is still not optimal so that the product is not yet known by the wider society. UMKM Sumber Barokah in running their business has implemented Islamic business ethics by behaving well towards consumers, accentuating honesty, selling good quality products, being generous and building good relationships with consumers. Abstract

This paper explained how the da'wah digitization which in this era was a major challenge that must be faced by plural netizens in Indonesia. To strengthen social harmony in religion, it was needed culture-based da'wah digitization, especially moderate da'wah to create netizens that would be able to interact well with one another on the internet. Social-religious harmony in cyberspace needed to be strengthened because with a strong social harmony in religion on plural netizens, the harmony of life between religious people or religious communities will be achieved and survived on the plural netizens in particular. The existence of supporting factors and inhibiting factors for the occurrence of social and religious harmony in the plural netizens showed that there was a relation between socio-religious harmony and culture-based da’wah digitization.

Abstract

The aim of this research is Character Education Assistance for Autism at the Non-Profit Foundation Cinta Harapan Indonesia (YCHI) Madiun. This type of research method is qualitative. Data collection using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis using triangulation. Character education assistance for autistic children at the Non-Profit Cinta Harapan Indonesia Foundation (YCHI) Madiun has had a significant impact in forming their positive character. The program includes a structured and caring approach, with a focus on developing social, emotional and moral skills through a variety of activities tailored to each individual's needs. Accompaniment that is carried out consistently and with a participation-based approach allows autistic children to increase their self-understanding, socialize better, and develop positive values that can support them in interacting in social environments. In this way, this program not only benefits children's personal development, but also creates an inclusive environment and supports them to reach their best potential.

Abstract

Dalam berperilaku, konsumen tidak hanya mengambil keputusan pembelian sesuai dengan keinginan saja, akan tetapi sangat perlu para konsumen memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip dan etika dalam pengambilan keputusan pembelian makanan cepat saji. Misalnya memilih makanan yang halal, proses produksi yang baik dan benar, serta tidak berlebihan, harus sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan populasi penelitian ini adalah konsumen dan produsen diobjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakaninteraksi yang dimulai dari pemgumpulan data, reduksi data, dan penyajian data.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas konsumen rumah makan bak Vika dalam pengambilan keputusan pembeliannya sangat memeperhatikan produsen yang menggunakan etika bisnis Islam. Karena dengan produsen yang menggunakan etika akan memberi efek yang baik kepada konsumen dan jika, salah dalam mengelolanya khususnya dalam makanan cepat saji akan berdampak halal haramnya makanan tersebut. Hal-hal yang menjadi faktor dalam pengambilan keputusan pembelian di rumah makan bak Vika antara lain: kebudayaan, pengalaman, kelas sosial, dan kelompok referensi kecil.

Abstract

This study explores the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in English Language Teaching (ELT), focusing on its innovations, opportunities, and challenges. AI technologies such as adaptive learning platforms, chatbots, and writing assistants have revolutionized language education by offering personalized learning experiences, enhancing interactive skill development, and improving assessment processes through real-time feedback and data-driven insights. However, the study also highlights challenges, including access disparities, ethical concerns related to data privacy, and the limitations of AI in addressing cultural and contextual nuances of language. Drawing from recent literature, the analysis underscores the importance of integrating AI as a complementary tool rather than a replacement for human educators, emphasizing the irreplaceable role of teachers in fostering emotional connections and cultural understanding. This study concludes that the effective and equitable adoption of AI in ELT requires thoughtful implementation, bridging technological advancements with human expertise to create a holistic and inclusive learning environment
