Abstract

Self-regulated learning plays an essential role in achieving better academic achievement goals. This study aims to empirically examine how adversity quotient predicts self-regulated learning in senior high school students in Betun East Nusa Tenggara using a linear regression analysis technique of 120 participants selected based on purposive sampling. Measurements were made using 22 items of the adversity quotient scale (Cronbach’s α = 0.83) and 21 items of the self-regulated learning scale (Cronbach’s α = 0.95). The results showed a regression coefficient (t = 5.237) with a significance level p = 0.000 (p < 0.01), which mean that the adversity quotient can predict the self-regulated learning of senior high school students with an effective contribution of 21.5 per cent

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara peer attachment dengan self-regulated learning pada mahasiswa semester satu Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira Kupang. Penelitian ini juga menyelidiki korelasi antara kesadaran peer attachment dan self-regulated learning. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester satu yang berjumlah 81 orang. Pengambilan sampel melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan 23 item pada skala peer attachment dengan nilai koefisien Cronbach α sebesar 0,854 dan 23 item pada skala self-regulated learning dengan nilai koefisien Cronbach α sebesar 0,860. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki tingkat peer attachment yang sedang (65,43%) dan self-regulated learning sedang (61,72%). Selain itu, data menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada korelasi antara peer attachment dengan self-regulated learning karena nilai signifikansi p = 0,929 (p>0,05), yang artinya tidak ada hubungan antara kelekatan teman sebaya dengan self-regulated-learning.

Abstract

This community service program was conducted at SMP Negeri 10 Kupang which was attended by 26 students, the purpose of this service was to provide an important picture of self-regulated learning for students. Some of the main problems that are obstacles for students at SMP Negeri 10 Kupang are not being able to manage their study time well, preferring to play, not understanding the importance of independent learning. The implementation process goes through several stages, namely, delivering material, showing short film clips related to self-efficiency, training negative thoughts to positive ones in learning with worksheets, playing illustration games. The results of the Community Service activities show that after being given self-regulated learning training, it can help students in learning and understanding the importance of self-regulated learning.

Abstract

Background: Kesehatan mental siswa menjadi aspek penting yang berpengaruh terhadap proses belajar dan perkembangan pribadi mereka. Namun, tekanan akademik dan dinamika sosial sering kali menimbulkan stres yang berdampak pada emosi, konsentrasi, serta kesejahteraan psikologis. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pelatihan Mindfulness sebagai strategi self-care untuk membantu siswa meningkatkan kesadaran diri, mengelola emosi, serta menjaga keseimbangan mental. Metode: Pelaksanaan meliputi pemberian materi, praktik Mindfulness (seperti mindful breathing, body scan, dan mindful listening), refleksi perorangan, serta penulisan jurnal harian. Peserta kegiatan adalah siswa sekolah menengah yang mengikuti rangkaian pelatihan secara bertahap. Hasil: Kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa merespons pelatihan dengan antusias, mampu mempraktikkan teknik Mindfulness dengan baik, serta merasakan dampak positif berupa peningkatan ketenangan, fokus belajar, dan kemampuan mengendalikan emosi. Kegiatan ini menegaskan bahwa Mindfulness tidak hanya relevan sebagai teori, tetapi juga keterampilan praktis yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan pendampingan berkelanjutan, Mindfulness berpotensi menjadi strategi efektif dalam mendukung kesehatan mental siswa dan memperkuat layanan bimbingan di sekolah. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan Mindfulness yang diberikan kepada siswa terbukti memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kesadaran diri dan kesehatan mental. Melalui rangkaian kegiatan berupa pemberian materi, praktik Mindfulness, refleksi perorangan, hingga penulisan jurnal harian, siswa memperoleh pemahaman sekaligus pengalaman langsung mengenai pentingnya mengelola pikiran, perasaan, dan tubuh secara sadar. Selain itu kegiatan ini dirancang rencana keberlanjutan melalui kolaborasi dengan guru BK untuk mengintegrasikan praktik Mindfulness ke dalam layanan bimbingan sekolah. Dengan pendampingan berkelanjutan, Mindfulness berpotensi menjadi strategi efektif dalam mendukung kesehatan mental siswa dan memperkuat layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah.

Abstract

. Empathy is the ability to understand and feel the feelings of others, which forms the basis for harmonious social relationships in educational environments. This study aims to examine the role of empathy in building social relationships among students at school and its implications for character development and a positive learning climate. The method used is library research by analyzing ten national journals that discuss the relationship between empathy, prosocial behavior, communication, psychological well-being, and inclusiveness in schools. The results of the study show that empathy plays an important role in preventing conflict and bullying, encouraging prosocial behavior, strengthening effective communication, improving psychological well-being, and building an inclusive learning environment. Empathy has also been proven to be developed through social-emotional learning strategies, role-playing methods, and teachers' exemplary behavior. Thus, empathy education not only contributes to the character building of students, but also creates a more humanistic and tolerant school culture that supports the growth of social solidarity among individuals.

Abstract

Resilience is an essential capability that needs to be developed in students to cope with academic and social pressures. Prosocial behavior is considered a factor that can potentially enhance students’ resilience through positive interpersonal interactions. This study aimed to analyze the effect of prosocial behavior on students’ resilience within the context of the Pata Dela culture. A quantitative approach with a survey design was employed. The study involved 119 students, selected using purposive sampling. The sample was limited to students from the Pata Dela cultural background, so the findings may not be widely generalizable. The instruments used included the Prosocial Behavior Scale (Caprara et al., 2005) and the Resilience Scale (Connor & Davidson, 2003). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicated that prosocial behavior had a positive and significant effect on student resilience (B = 0.856; t = 7.887; p < 0.001), with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.347. This suggests that prosocial behavior accounted for 34.7% of students’ resilience, while the remaining 65.3% was influenced by other factors beyond this study. The findings highlight that the values of the Pata Dela culture serve as a social context that strengthens the relationship between prosocial behavior and resilience. This study contributes to understanding how integrating local cultural contexts, such as Pata Dela, can inform the relationship between prosocial behavior and student resilience, a relationship that has been rarely explored.
