Abstract

Population projections are scientific estimates based on assumptions about the factors that contribute to population growth rates, such as migration, births, and deaths. They are not population predictions. The future population's size and age distribution are determined by these three factors. Data describing trends from the past to the present are needed to make estimates about the pace of development of future births, deaths, and movements. The goal of this study is to use the logistic and exponential growth models to project the population growth in Sinonsayang Subdistrict. BPS Sinonsayang Subdistrict provided the population census data for Sinonsayang Subdistrict from 2016 to 2022. Both logistic and exponential models are used to model data analysis procedures. The model that was chosen was based on the findings.

Abstract

This study aims to identify whether the learning outcomes of students who learn using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model are higher than the learning outcomes of students who learn using the Conventional learning model on Cartesian Coordinates material. This research is a study that uses a posttest-only control group design. The population of this study were all students of class VIII and the samples in this study were class VIII A as an experimental class consisting of 30 students and class VIII B as a control class consisting of 30 students at SMP N 2 Amurang in the academic year 2024/2025. The results revealed that there were differences in the learning outcomes of students taught using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model with students taught using the Conventional learning model. Based on the above results, it is concluded that learning by using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on Cartesian Coordinates material.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the differences in student learning outcomes between the application of the Guided Discovery Method with the Constructivism Learning Model and Conventional Learning in improving students' understanding of integers in Class VII at SMP Negeri 3 Tondano. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was seventh-grade students, and the samples in this study were VII A as the experimental class, consisting of 25 students, and VII B as the control class, consisting of 22 students, at SMP Negeri 3 Tondano in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research results revealed that there was a significant difference in the average learning outcomes of students taught using the Guided Discovery Method with the Constructivism Learning Model compared to students taught using Conventional Methods. Based on the above results, it is concluded that the application of the Guided Discovery Method with the Constructivism Learning Model can improve students' understanding of integers in Class VII at SMP Negeri 3 Tondano. Thus, the Guided Discovery Method with the Constructivism Learning Model was proven effective in improving students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

The lack of utilization of teaching materials that can attract students' attention is one of the problems in mathematics education that has been identified from various sources. The aim of this study is to create a valid, practical, and effective learning resource based on PowerPoint for eighth-grade students at MTs Nurul Yaqin Tondano. This study is a research and development (R&D) type that uses the 4-D development approach (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Evaluation by expert validators resulted in a very valid score of 91.33. Based on the responses from teachers and students, the practicality scores were 98 and 87.93, respectively, and were classified as very good. With a classical graduation rate of 81%, the created PowerPoint has met the effective criteria. In summary, the created PowerPoint is valid, practical, and effective for learning.
