Abstract

The City of Banjarmasin has very low soil bearing capacity leading to a significant number of buildings experiencing foundation settlement. This causes many elements of the buildings to develop cracks and to lean. The foundation settlement is modelled using ANSYS by taking five building structure models with brick walls loaded with their selves weight. Through this modelling the crack pattern and the stress distribution on both walls and the structural elements can be visualised and identified. The results show that the following columns experiencing foundation settlement develop longitudinal cracks, crack patterns on brick walls are diagonal at every bottom corner of the columns and vertical at the edge of the inner columns if there is no foundation settlement. Crack patterns on brick walls take form of a letter V if only one or two outer column experience foundation settlement, and crack patterns on brick walls also take form of an inverted letter V if only the inner columns or two adjacent columns experience foundation settlement. Foundation settlement experienced by inner columns of a brick wall is a major cause of damage to structural components.

Abstract

The condition of soil in Banjarmasin which is dominated by wetland with a soil bearing capacity of as low as 0.2 kg/cm2 means that buildings require costly foundations. This condition requires that developers be more selective and perform optimisation in choosing types of soft-soil foundations to ensure maximum profit from the building investment. The objective of this research is to optimise the use of a given building area by assigning different types of sub-structure subject to a number of constraints. Optimization is used by operations research methods which are solved by Integer Programming Software QM for Windows version 2.1 and is based on the development of a housing fictitious data X type-36 in Banjarmasin. The analysis result showed that the composition of the optimum number of types of houses built is for type-A 30 units, type-B 17 units, and type-C 20 units with maximum profit of Rp.4,000,000,000, the required development area is 5,360 m2 with production costs required Rp.20,000,000,000 and the construction time of all types of houses is along 67 weeks.

Abstract

This paper is as result of the experimental research of a Kübler wood connector on the several types of hard wood in South Kalimantan as the alternative of the connector in the timber structure. This experiment of the Kübler wood connector is done to the three types of the hard wood such as Bangkirai (Shorea Lacvifolia Endert), Simantok (Shorea spec.div) and Merbau (Intsia spec.div), and also the wood that will be connected as the tested supporting specimen is Ulin wood (Eusyderoxylon Zwageri). Every tested specimen is applied the centric compressive axial load in the straight joint, connection with an angle of 120° and connection with an angle of 90° until the connection reaches the failure strength. From the experimental result, it is obtained that on the straight joint, Merbau wood (Class II) having average and characteristic failure strength more than of its Simantok wood (Class II)  and  Bangkirai wood (Class I). For the angle connection using Simantok  wood, the value of its characteristic failure strength is getting higher if the angle of the connection more than 90o, but not for the shifting. Abstract

The soil in Banjarmasin City is of soft clay type having a very low bearing capacity. Hence, it is normal for buildings in this area to have gelam wooden piles as part of the foundation. Foundations based on gelam wooden piles rely on friction which results in the building experiencing differential settlement, tilt, and cracks on the structural elements. This foundation settlement will be modeled using ANSYS software involving fifteen building structural models with brick walls under loads according to SNI 1727:2013 and due to settlement at the support. The modeling aims at understanding the effects of using tie beams on the pattern of structural damage in buildings that experience differential settlement on soft soil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tie beam pada pondasi pada tanah lunak berpengaruh terhadap pola kerusakan. Pada tanah keras, ini tidak membawa efek seperti itu tetapi sebaliknya, itu meningkatkan tingkat ketidaktentuan statis struktur. Dalam kasus portal bentang tunggal, pola retakan menyerupai huruf "V" terbalik jika penurunan terjadi pada tumpuan samping. Di portal bentang ganda, di sisi lain, pola retakan dinding bata menyerupai huruf "V" jika penurunan terjadi pada penyangga samping, dan "V" terbalik jika terjadi di antara penyangga.

Abstract

Infrastructure development in Banjarmasin is growing rapidly, this can be seen by the number of construction projects for shop houses, warehouses, housing and other civil buildings, both by government institutions, private sector and individuals. The type of soil in Banjarmasin is soft soil which has a very low bearing capacity, so generally the building foundation uses gelam wood. But now gelam wood is getting rare and expensive. To answer the scarcity of gelam wood, the mini pile concrete foundation could become an alternative solution. Mini pile erection using a modified Vibratory Pile Driver is an option for construction service providers with several advantages by minimizing some of the existing weaknesses. The advantages of this system are mainly in terms of cost, mobilization and adjustment of field conditions and are technically superior and safe in terms of the stability of the shop house foundation structure.

Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Beton mutu tinggi merupakan sesuatu yang saat ini masih asing dalam pelaksanaan, konstruksi di Indonesia, tetapi dengan kemajuan teknologi yang memudahkan pembuatannya, dapat diharapkan pemakaiannya dalam waktu mendatang. Abstract

The column is a critical element in the building structure, the failure of the column will directly result in the collapse of other related structural components. The column must have strength, stability and ductility. In increasing the capacity and ductility of the column by providing confinement, to protect concrete elements from breaking due to the influence of the working pressure. Analyzing ultimate axial load capability, stress-strain distribution patterns and crack patterns in concrete elements and column ductility. Tests of several models and variations of the restraint distance in short columns of normal concrete quality with longitudinal reinforcement of steel steels and carbon steel transversal reinforcement. The columns were analyzed using the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) method with the help of a full scale ANSYS 3-D application, with material properties for concrete using SOLID65 and steel reinforcement using LINK8 and SOLID45 loading plates. The type of pedestal used is the joints with axial loading (axial loadstep) centric direction. The effect of the restraint model and the variation of the restraint distance to the value of the column ultimate axial load for the whole model is relatively small with a ratio of 1.079, while for the ratio of the axial deformation ratio of 1.496. The pattern of stress and strain distribution when yielding spreads throughout the column area but when it reaches the ultimate distribution the concentration is concentrated in the support area. The first dominant crack occurs in the pedestal area and generally occurs in the concrete blanket layer, in the ultimate condition cracks have occurred evenly throughout the column area. The ratio of the ratio of ductility values ​​for all column models and the restraint distance is relatively large with a ratio value of 1.523

Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap pelaksanaan Proyek Pembangunan Gedung X di kota Banjarmasin yang memerlukan pengerjaan yang cepat  sesuai dengan permintaan pemilik, agar gedung tersebut dapat segera difungsikan.Metode yang digunakan untuk percepatan proyek ini adalah hanya penambahan jam kerja/lembur, dengan waktu 1 jam kerja/lembur, 2 jam kerja/lembur, dan 3 jam kerja/lembur agar diperoleh efisiensi biaya dan waktu yang optimum. Percepatan waktu proyek ini dianalisis menggunakan metode crash dengan membandingkan penambahan jam kerja/lembur  pada Proyek Pembangunan Gedung X di kota Banjarmasin.Pembangunan proyek diselesaikan dengan durasi normal 72 hari dan biaya sebesar Rp. 298,406,300.00. Setelah dilakukan percepatan waktu proyek, maka diperoleh waktu percepatan optimum pada penambahan 3 jam kerja/lembur dengan durasi 58 hari dan biaya sebesar Rp. 370,806,300.00. Kata kunci : Metode Crash, Percepatan Waktu, Analisis Penambahan Jam Kerja
