Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectivity of remediation using the feedback form brochures to overcome the learning difficulty of students of uniformly accelerated motion (GLBB) in the class of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Pinyuh Pontianak regency academic year 2012/2013 and determine the relationship between students ability to understand the concept of the the ability of student,s to solve problems after remediation. The research method used Pre Experimental Design with One-Group Pretest-posttest design. A total of 25 seventh grade students participated in this study. The data analyst show results feedback using the effective brochure remediate learning difficultiy of students with ES = 3.6 is high and there is a significant relationship between students ability to understand the concept of the students ability to problem solving (? = 0.955; ? = 5%, N = 25, ? table 0.409). Keyword: Remediation, Learning Difficulties, Brosure, Efectivity Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas remediasi bentuk umpan balik menggunakan brosur untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa tentang gerak lurus berubah beraturan (GLBB) di kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Pinyuh Kabupaten Pontianak tahun ajaran 2012/2013 dan mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep dengan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah setelah remediasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Pre Eksperimen Design dengan One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. Sebanyak 25 siswa kelas VII berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa umpan balik menggunakan brosur efektif dalam meremediasi kesulitan belajar siswa dengan Es=3,6 tergolong tinggi dan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep dengan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah ( = 0,955; = 5%, N= 25, tabel 0,409). Abstract

Abstract This study was intended to conduct a four-level test that is feasible on substance pressure material for the students ' misconceptions. This study uses the four-level research and development (R&D) method. The development of the test took the step of developing Borg & Gall which had been simplified into 7 steps. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri Kota Pontianak. The initial design of the test consisted of 20 multiple-choice questions. Trial questions about 34 students on a small scale test, and 88 students on a large scale trial. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the developed test is appropriate to be used to correct students' misconceptions based on the test eligibility criteria, namely: 1) has a higher validity than the validity of the table that is ? 0.2096, 2) has a corresponding average reliability that is ? 0, 81, 3) all test items can support students' misconceptions, 4) have a moderate level of appropriateness with a value ? 0.69, 5) an overall readability level of 3.08. The four-level educational test that is developed is appropriate for students to use misconceptions. Keywords : Diagnostic Test, Four Tier Test, Pressure Substance

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aiming to find profil of student’slearningmistakein 10th Grade SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak on vectormaterial, beforeandafter remediation through booklet that given with feedback. 27 students of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak were selected to be population group by intact group method. The instrument of data is using diagnostic test. After remediation,  the student’slearningmistakewasdecreasedby 18,13 %. Besidethat, the effectivity of remediation through booklet with feedback, reaching Effect Size by 0,55 with “medium” criteria. Further more, the results of this research can be alternative way for teacher to give remediation in case to resolving student’slearningmistake on vector material. Keyword: remediation, vector, booklet, feedback Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui profil kesalahan belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak pada materi vektor sebelum dan setelah diberikan remediasi dengan pemberian booklet disertai umpan balik. Sebanyak 27 orang siswa kelas XC SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak yang dipilih secara intactgroup berpartisipasi dalam penelitian. Alat pengumpul data berupa tes diagnostik. Setelah dilakukan remediasi, terjadi penurunan kesalahan siswa sebesar 18,13 %. Selain itu efektifitas remediasi bookletdisertai umpan balik diperoleh EffectSize 0,55 dengan kriteria “sedang”. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan alternatif bagi guru dalam melakukan kegiatan remediasi untuk mengatasi kesalahan belajar siswa pada materi vektor. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze students ability to solve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) problems in physics, especially in motion in one of Pontianak’ Senior High School. The methods used in this research was descriptive method with qualitative approach. The subjects in this research is 125 students of class XI MIPA. The data-collecting instruments in this research was twenty multiple choices problems, consists of analyze, evaluate, and create step of thinking. According to the data result of this research, it can be seen that the average of students ability in solving higher order thinking skills problems is 32.27%. Specifically, in each dimension of HOTS problems are analyze problems 43,13%, while evaluate ability are 41% and create ability are 12.67%. Those results show that students abilities of solving high order thinking problems still categorised as low. The result of mann-whitney were asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) score of 0,170 (>0,05), so H0 are accepted and H1 are denied. It means that there are no significant difference between male and female students in term of ability to accomplish higher order thinking problems. Therefore, learning activities in order to increase students high order thinking skills are needed at secondary school in Pontianak.
