Abstract

Photography has now become a form of communication, namely non-verbal communication delivered in the form of photos or pictures. Commercial photography, namely photos that have a sale value and are made according to commercial purposes, for example for advertising of a product, for posters, or something else. Product visualization is a form of communication that can apply commercial photography. The masculine product referred in this study is a collection of brands with products commonly used by men. In this section the author describes the methods taken to produce a photographic art creation. The concept raised by the author carries a masculine theme, such as using supporting properties that are often used by men. Masculine concepts can also be maximized through lighting, color, and the technique of taking each photo. In this paper there are several applications of concepts, accessories and lighting which are formed by the methods used by the author. Some examples include methods of exploration, experimentation, creation of works to finishing. Experimentation makes the sources of exploration practicable through the materials used by the author, so that they can proceed to the stage of forming works. The stage of forming the work of the writer tries to apply the concept through exploration and experimentation. As well as the finishing stage the author tries to sort out the works that have been formed through the previous method and determines some of the best photos which will then enter the editing or editing stage. The work raised by the author is a teaching experience at the Nahdhlatul Ulama University in Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membuat logo dan identitas Visual UMKM Flo Cookery sebagai upaya aktivasi brand UMKM Flo Cookery agar dapat bersaing dengan kompetitor, baik yang berada dalam wilayah sekitarnya maupun di wilayah yang lebih jauh dimana bisa dijangkau melalui online. UMKM Flo Cookery bergerak di bidang kuliner khususnya produksi kue kering dan roti yang terletak di kota Trenggalek. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini antara lain, pra produksi, produksi, dan pasca produksi yang selalu melibatkan pemilik UMKM dalam proses pengembangan desain logo dan identitas visual. Hasil dari pengabdian ini antara lain logo dan identitas visual yang tertuang dalam sebuah graphic standart manual beserta desain merchandise dan kemasan produk UMKM Flo Cookery.

Abstract

Ada banyak hal yang merusak ekosistem, tetapi salah satu yang paling signifikan adalah sampah plastik. Sebaliknya, plastik sangat penting bagi banyak aspek kehidupan manusia sehingga mencari cara untuk mengurangi sampah plastik menjadi perjuangan tahunan. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk menemukan solusi sederhana dan praktis untuk masalah sampah plastik menggunakan ecobrick. Tujuan ecobrick bukanlah untuk membakar sampah plastik, melainkan untuk mendapatkan kembali bahan yang dapat digunakan melalui daur ulang dan pemrosesan. Karena ecobrick sepenuhnya terbuat dari plastik daur ulang, pembuatannya murah dan mudah. ​​Desa Sidokepung RT 37 RW 07 berharap dapat menemukan cara untuk memanfaatkan sampah plastik yang belum diolah menjadi ecobrick. One of the several things harming ecosystems is plastic trash.  At the same time, plastics serve a variety of human needs, making annual plastic waste management challenges more daunting.  This project aims to tackle plastic waste using ecobricks, a simple and practical solution.  Ecobricks aren't meant to obliterate plastic trash, but rather to recycle it and turn it into something useful. Making ecobricks also does not require special skills and does not cost anything at all, because it uses household plastic waste as the main ingredient. It is hoped that with the processing of making ecobricks, Sidokepung Village RT 37 RW 07 can utilize plastic waste that has not been processed into a product of utility value.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Lesson Study berbasis Classroom Action Research. Kegiatan Lesson Study mencakup 3 tahap kegiatan dalam satu siklus yaitu Plan, Do, dan See selama 3 siklus yang melibatkan dua dosen observer. Hasil Lesson Study menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan Lesson Study selama 3 siklus ini, antara lain : (1) Suasana perkuliahan menjadi "lebih hidup" ditunjukkan oleh meningkatnya keaktifan belajar mahasiswa selama 3 siklus tersebut; (2) Penerapan Flipped classroom meningkatkan kesiapan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti perkuliahan, yang dapat dilihat dari adanya peningkatan keaktifan dan kesiapan mahasiswa pada setiap siklusnya saat berada pada sesi tanya jawab dan diskusi kelompok; (3) Terjadi perubahan pola pembelajaran dosen berupa semakin mengurangi penggunaan ceramah dan menambah variasi metode serta penggunaan media; (4) Semua dosen yang terlibat baik dosen model maupun dosen observer ada kecenderungan semakin bisa bekerja sama dengan teman sejawat ,semakin terbuka dalam mengemukakan kekurangan, dan semakin berkeinginan untuk selalu meningkatkan kualitas pembelajarannya; dan (5) Tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap penerapan flipped classroom berbantu ICT terhadap kemandirian mahasiswa pada perkuliahan Fotografi Dasar adalah positif.

Abstract

Letters not only function as symbols in written language systems, but also have high visual potential in conveying messages and images. This study aims to explore the possibility of forming letter forms through a photographic approach to visual objects in natural and urban environments, and to compare the perception of letter forms between humans and artificial intelligence (AI). The method used is the Human-AI Comparative Analysis Framework with the stages of photo collection, annotation by humans, AI testing, and evaluation. A total of 56 photos of objects resembling letters were collected and annotated by participants from visual design backgrounds, then tested with a multimodal AI model (ChatGPT). The results showed a match rate between humans and AI of 76%, where humans tend to use an associative and contextual approach, while AI focuses on geometric structures. This difference indicates the potential for creative collaboration between humans and AI in exploring environment-based typography. This research broadens insights into visual communication design, particularly in the creation of experimental typography inspired by everyday visual elements.
