Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan sarana yang penting untuk mewujudkan cita-cita. Salah satu permasalahan yang sering terjadi didaerah terpencil adalah pendidikan. Di daerah terpencil biasanya kesadaran akan pendidikan rendah. Di dusun Pucuan, desa Gebang, Sidoarjo tingkat pendidikan masih sangat rendah. Sebagian anak di dusun Pucuan pendidikannya hanya sampai di tingkat SD. Untuk meningkatkan tingkat pendidikan dibutuhkan dukungan dari orang tua dan dan motivasi yang kuat dari anak itu sendiri. Pendidikan bisa ditingkatkan dengan berbagai cara, seperti membaca. Banyak sekali manfaat yang diperoleh dengan membaca. Perancangan kampanye sosial ini bertujuan untuk mengajak para orang tua dan siswa SDN Gebang untuk peduli dengan pendidikan. Dalam perancangan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif berupa observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara serta metode kuantitatif berupa penyebaran kuesioner. Melalui buku pengenalan profesi diharapkan siswa SDN Gebang termotivasi untuk menggapai cita-citanya dengan cara melanjutkan pendidikannya ke tingkat yang lebih tinggi.Kata Kunci : Pucuan, Sidoarjo, Kampanye Sosial, Pendidikan, Profesi

Abstract

Education is an important means to realize the goals. One of the problems that often happen in the remote areas is education. In remote areas are usually low educational awareness. In the hamlet of Pucuan, Gebang village, Sidoarjo educational level is still very low. Most children in the hamlet of Pucuan education in the level elementary only. To increase the level of education required support of parents and strong motivation from the child itself. Education can be improved in various ways, such as reading. A lots of benefits derived by reading. The design of this social campaign purpose to engage the parents and concerned with elementary school Gebang students for education. In this design using qualitative methods in the form of observation, documentation, and interviews as well as quantitative methods in the form of dissemination the questionnaire. Through the introduction of the professions expected elementary school Gebang are motivated fulfilling their goals by means of continuing education to a higher level. Abstract

Thengul dance is a traditional art that must be preserved so that it does not become extinct and result in the loss of the identity of an area. Thengul dance is gaining attention from the national scene due to various achievements, this is an interesting phenomenon. Children must be introduced to the arts of their area early on, so that the rising phenomenon does not end just like that. Introducing traditional arts to children must use interesting media. An interesting and interactive media is needed so that children do not get bored while studying Culture, because many people think that traditional art is less interesting. Interactive illustrated books will be an effective media to introduce Thengul dance to children in Bojonegoro district. There are two stages of the method carried out, the first stage of preparation which includes data collection, data analysis, synthesis and determination of design objects. Then the second stage of creation which includes the stages of pre-production, production and post-production. Using this method will produce a design concept with the keyword "witty Thengul dance expression", which is getting to know Thengul dance in an exciting and interesting way. With these keywords can be used as a reference in the design of the book let's learn Thengul dance. Interactive illustrated book was made as a medium for introducing the tengul dance to children aged 6-9 years, so that children in the Bojonegoro district could participate in the preservation of regional arts later.

Abstract

Nasida Ria, a modern kasidah music group, is known as a kasidah legend in Indonesia. Formed in an area with a background that is identical to Islamic values, namely the Kauman area, Semarang, Central Java in 1975 by H. Muhammad Zain, they have a main mission of preaching but in a way that many people like, namely music. In her 45 years of career, Nasida Ria has produced hundreds of works that can be enjoyed by the public. They have proven to the public that with its uniqueness and distinction, Nasida Ria is able to fight the times amidst the dynamics of the Indonesian music industry, as well as the twists and turns of her career so that she is able to become a kasidah legend in Indonesia. Their extraordinary career journey has inspired the formation of this visual biography. The illustration that summarizes the story of Nasida Ria's career is the strength of the attraction of this biography. With the visual biography of the modern Kasidah group Nasida Ria, the information that the audience needs to convey or need is well-structured and interesting.

Abstract

The museum is the storage and preservation of cultural heritage and historic objects for the benefit of the study, research, or entertainment. A museum should be able to provide accurate information and adequate facilities. In order for the historical objects and museum facilities to be optimally enjoyed by visitors, the museum requires environmental graphics to assist the course of the visit. Mpu Tantular Museum which is located in Sidoarjo does not yet have sufficient signposts and information boards, causing the visitors to be confused. Then there is the need for environmental graphics to assist the visitors in finding and getting the maximum information. This paper will design the environmental graphics of  Mpu Tantular Museum with a design concept called "Lontar Majapahit". The method used is the preparation stage and the creation phase with 5W + 1H analysis. Thus, visitors get two advantages, namely clear information and environmental graphic design that convey the characteristic of Mpu Tantular Museum.

Abstract

Visual design and souvenir products UPN "Veteran" of East Java is a research theme to introduce UPN "Veteran" of East Java as the campus “Bela Negara” (State Defense). UPN "Veteran" of East Java is the only state university that has the character of “Bela Negara”. However, the general public outside the campus not many people know about it. We try to introduce this character to general public and academic community. Since 2010 “Bela Negara” was the identity of UPN "Veteran" of East Java. The character of State Defense is applied through visual images and then implemented into various souvenir products. Souvenir image implementation process is done by screen printing technique. The process of screen printing is not easy, it requires special skills in the field of graphic design. The stages of the screen printing process will be used as a guide book for the next event. This book is also used as a screen printing practice book for Visual Communication Design students. The method of this research outline through two stages, namely: (1) preparation stage; (2) the stage of creation. The preparation stage includes problem formulation, data collection, analysis, and problem solving. While the stage of creation includes pre-production, production and postproduction.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compile a textbook for Visual Communication Design 2 in the Visual Communication Design study program. This course discusses the logo as a visual identity and its implementation in print media using the screen-printing press technique. The research method uses two stages, namely the creation stage and the publication stage. The creation stage includes pre-production, production, and post-production, while the publication stage includes registration of book publishing and book releases. The result of this research is a textbook entitled "Improving the Quality of Learning in Print Media with the Screen-Printing Press Technique". This book contains the process of implementing the results of the illustration of the East Java UPN “Veteran” souvenir design into the DKV media using the Press screen printing technique. The selection of screen-printing techniques is based on the techniques used in the previous research entitled "Visual Design and Souvenir Products of the" Veteran "National Development University of East Java as the Identity of the State Defense Campus". This research concludes that this textbook can be used as the main textbook for DKV 2 courses and as a reference book for several subjects such as DKV 2, Graphic Method, DKV 1, DKV 4, DKV 5, and Final Projects. Besides, this book can also be a reference book for the community in the souvenir production process using the screen-printing press technique.

Abstract

Bomber is an endeavor the village earth belongs to the village of Berbek. The bomber was founded in October 2019. This business is moving in the field of selling stationery supplies and services for college and office needs. There are several problems faced by Bumber, namely the creation of the Bumber logo not designed based on considerations in making a good logo. So that the logo does not reflect Bumber's character/identity/business image. Stand size not too big give the impression and feel cramped. So it's not easy to see potential customers. Banner material is not durable, so it must continue updated and requires continuous banner creation costs. Sign laying identifier is not well conceptualized, so put it carelessly, and even on the shoulder of the highway which can endanger road users. Location of the parking lot irregular because there is no sign indicating where to park. This business is still classified just started, so it still needs a lot of attractive promotional media in order can get a lot of customers. From the problems described above, then this community service aims to solve the problem by redesigning the Bumber logo which can imitate Bumber, designed the sign system for communicating Bumber's presence, and design promotions to increase the number of subscribers. To achieve this goal the Community Service Program uses both the preparation stage and the creation stage method. The preparation phase includes data collection (observation, interviews, questionnaires) and determining the media. Then the creation stage includes pre-production (verbal concepts, visual concepts, media concept), production (alternative design, final design, media execution), and post-production (media application, evaluation)

Abstract

Abstract: Kampung Romantic is one of the urban villages in Malang City which currently transforms to be a village with special interest. One of the potentials in Kampung Romantis is the decorative-plant tour and business developed by its residents. This potential can be utilized to strengthen the character of the village that upholds good relations between neighbors and families. Reviewing the standard of a tourism village, Kampung Romantis is still far from the existing standard due to a lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure. However, its location is strategic as located in the middle of the city and near shopping centers, educational and heritage areas. Considering its strategic location and the high interest of the residents in developing their village, it is important to brand the area of this village visually. An effort was made through this service program through the signage design for a logo of Kampung Romantis which can strengthen the image of that area. The stages of the service program started from observation and communication with the residents, then planning and construction for the signage design. This program had successfully produced a signage design that was constructed to brand the area of Kampung Romantis by involving the residents.Keywords: regional signage; romantic village; thematic villageAbstrak: Kampung romantis merupakan salah satu kampung kota di Kota Malang yang saat ini berupaya untuk menjadi kampung minat khusus. Wisata belanja tanaman hias yang merupakan potensi yang sekarang dapat dikembangkan oleh warganya sendiri. Potensi tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai untuk memperkuat identitas kawasan sebagai kampung kota yang tetap mengedepankan hubungan yang baik dengan tetangga dan juga keluarga. Apabila dikaji berdasarkan standar kampung wisata, maka kampung romantis masih jauh dari standar yang ada karena sarana dan prasarananya masih minim.  Lokasi kampung romantis sangat strategis karena terletak ditengah Kota Malang dan juga dekat dengan pusat perbelanjaan, area pendidikan dan juga kawa-san heritage (warisan) yang ada di Kota Malang. Melihat lokasinya yang strategis serta    tingginya minat warganya untuk mengembangkan menjadi kampung wisata, maka diperlukan upaya untuk dapat membranding kawasan tersebut dan juga mempercantik secara visual kawasan tersebut. Upaya yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini melalui desain signage berupa logo dari kampung romatis untuk dapat memperkuat branding kawasan tersebut. Tahapan kegiatan pengabdian dimulai dari observasi dan komunikasi dengan warga hingga perencanaan dan konstruksi signage. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berhasil membuat rancangan signage yang akhirnya dapat dibangun untuk branding di Kawasan kampung romantis dengan keterlibatan   warganya.Kata kunci: desa tematik; kampung romantis; signage
