Abstract

Most of the construction workers in Indonesia are only having experience-based knowledge. They are skilled but are only elementary school graduates. Only a small proportion are able to reach the high school level. This is a fundamental problem for construction workers in Indonesia because many of the construction workers lack in engineering knowledge. This is a descriptive qualitative study. The findings indicate that: 1) Field identification, referring to the 2016 and 2013 SKKNI, reveals that both respondents are still lacking in the application of Occupational Health and Safety (K3). 2) The utility factor values of the two respondents are both above 50%, where the utility factor of the blacksmith is 63.96% with a work productivity ratio of 18.39 kg/hour, while the of carbon steel worker 63.42% with productivity work of 2.73 m2/hour. 3) Both respondents occupy the lower level in the IQF, where blacksmith is categorized at level 1 and carbon steel workers is categorized at level 2. 4) The education level of construction workers does not affect their competence. Most of the knowledge related to the guild profession is obtained from work experience factors.

Abstract

Labor productivity is one of the success factors of a project where the labor is directly involved in construction in the field. This study aims to know the level of labor productivity in the project for construction of PMI storage facility in Gorontalo Province. This study uses work sampling (productivity rating), which is a method that can be used to measure productivity easily to obtain the LUR (Labor Utilization Rate) value for each labor. This study is conducted by observing the productivity of 7 labors where the observation of productivity (LUR) is done for 22 days in each labor and the type of work observed is raft foundation work. The finding shows that the average labor productivity level in foundation work is 69.22% > 50°/». Thus, it can be concluded that the level of labor productivity in foundation work in the project for construction of the PMI storage facility in Gorontalo Province is quite productive and splendid. The avemge value of volume/labor is 0.163 m3 where its coefficient value in the field for excavation, soil compaction, workshop floor, formwork, and casting is higher than AHSP (Work Unit Price Analysis) 2016 whereas the value for reinforced bar and drainage reinforcement is higher.

Abstract

Construction project development requires careful planning, but the uncertainty that occurs in the procerss is very diverse. Inefficiencies such as schedule mismatch with the work process in the field must be minimized so that there is no significant waste of costs. Therefore, related parties need to take appropriate steps to identify and evaluate waste so that the planning time and the work process do not differ significantly, so as to reduce waste of costs and provide satisfactory results to the project owner. Thus, it is necessary to conduct research on lean construction mehod and critical chain project management scheduling to know the occurrence of waste so that anything that does not add value can be minimized or even eliminated. Based on the result of interviews, there are 73% value added activity and 27% non-value adding but necessary activity. The critical waste is waiting and unnecessary inventory. The risks that occur are incompatibility of planning designs with the field, delays in materials/tools, damage to materials/tools, work safety, traffic disturbances at the project site, low labor productivity, design change from planners, bad weather, and the COVID-19 pandemic. The estimated total project duration obtained using the Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) method is 200 days from the initial duration of 266 days.

Abstract

Sehingga didapat total LCC sebesar Rp 3,677,069,525.15. Berdasarkan perhitungan didapat total biaya pemeliharaan sebesar Rp. 1,883,053,960.40. Komponen lantai merupakan elemen dengan biaya pemeliharaan tertinggi mencapai 26.59% atau sebesar Rp. 977,724,531.43

Abstract

Effective waste management remains a major challenge in urban areas, including Kota Selatan Subdistrict, Gorontalo City, which is experiencing an increase in waste volume due to population growth and economic activities. Infrastructure limitations, particularly in the availability of Temporary Disposal Sites (TPS), have resulted in waste accumulation and pose a risk of increased environmental pollution. This research aims to analyze the volume of waste generation, evaluate the existing conditions of TPS, ad assess the capacity of infrastructure in handling waste in Kota Selatan Subdistrict, Gorontalo City. This research employs a quantitative analysis method combined with field surveys focusing on waste volume and the availability of Temporary Disposal Site (TPS) infrastructure in Kota Selatan Subdistrict. Data collection involved direct observation, recording of waste volume generated, interviews with waste management officials, and sampling following the procedures established in SNI 19-3964-1994. The results indicate that the total volume of waste in Kota Selatan Subdistrict reaches 111,03 m3/day, with contributions from residential sources at 6,01% and non-residential sources at 93,99%. The availability of TPS infrastructure is highly limited, with only two (2) functioning container units out of the ideal requirement of approximately 19 units. The percentage of waste successfully transported reaches 82,95% of the total daily waste generation, leaving about 17,05% uncollected. Meanwhile, the waste transport frequency achievement in the research area stands at 82,64% of the targeted frequency.
