Abstract

Kampung Mentawai terletak di Dusun Sarang Burung, Desa Beringin, Kecamatan Sajad, Kabupaten Sambas, Kalimantan Barat. Ketiadaan aliran listrik dan sumber air bersih di wilayah ini merupakan permasalahan prioritas. Guna mereduksi permasalahan tersbut maka dilaksanakan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat menggunakan metode Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) yang terdiri atas tiga tahap yakni penyadaran, pengkapasitasan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan pelatihan teknologi panel surya dilaksanakan pada tanggal 27 Juli 2025 yang terdiri atas pretest, penyampaian materi, postest, uji keterampilan mitra, dan kuisoner kepuasan mitra. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 60,69% setelah proses pelatihan dilakukan. Rata-rata skor keterampilan mitra setelah pelatihan adalah 4,6 atau berada pada kategori baik. Rata-rata skor kepuasan mitra setelah proses pelatihan adalah 4,5 atau berada pada kategori sangat baik. Hal ini bermakna bahwa pelatihan yang diberikan memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam peningkatan pengetahuan dan keteampilan mitra tentang teknologi panel surya.

Abstract

The presence of fountains in public areas can create a comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Green spaces can provide ecological and aesthetic benefits, so fountains that combine ecological and aesthetic functions were essential. Based on this, research was conducted to test the performance of the water flow control system and nozzle movement control in a fountain integrated with automatic plant irrigation. Water flow testing was conducted by setting the dimmer at angles of 20°, 25°, 30°, 35°, 40°, 45°, 50°, 55°, 60°, and 65°. Nozzle movement testing was carried out by giving servo motor movement commands at angles of 50° – 130° and gradually adding an angle of 4° for each test. The data collected in the study were water flow and nozzle movement accuracy. Based on the test results, the minimum flow rate recorded was 0.141 l/s at an angle of 20°, the maximum flow rate reached 0.775 l/s at an angle of 65°, while the average flow rate from the tests was 0.490 l/s. The nozzle movement system showed an average accuracy of 98.84%, indicating that the system performs very well. The test results showed that the water discharge control and nozzle movement systems were able to produce controlled water jets, both in terms of flow rate and direction.

Abstract

Shredding machines play a crucial role in agricultural waste processing. A common issue encountered was shredding efficiency, particularly due to the poor quality of the shredding blades. Currently, the process of shaping and sharpening shredding blades was still carried out traditionally, resulting in inconsistent cutting angles. Poor-quality blades result in high energy consumption and low-quality shredded output. To address these issues, a study was conducted aimed at developing a machine capable of integrating the blade forming and sharpening processes into a single system. This research phase includes mechanical engineering, machine performance testing, and analysis of test data. The observed data collected include cutting torque and improvements in cutting performance. The test material used was potato tubers. Based on the engineering results, the machine measures 70 cm in length, 30 cm in width, and 70 cm in height, and was powered by a 2 HP electric motor, with the forming and sharpening blades operating at 1,400 rpm. Based on the test results, after the shredding blades were formed and sharpened, the cutting torque was reduced from 14.85 N·m to 7.36 N·m. Other observations showed that there was an average increase in cutting performance of 50.30% after the blade forming and sharpening process was performed.
