Abstract

Admission of new students is an essential activity for universities. As the functional process of student admissions progresses, data on student admissions increases from one year to the next. However, the new student admission data has not been used by universities for decision-making, the potential for promotion, and consideration of the admission path. This study aims to classify student data into several groups considering the proximity of the data has similarities. So that student data who have the exact attributes are collected in one group, and those with different features are contained in another group, using a data mining process, namely the k-means smart clustering strategy. The business intelligence system in this study expands institutional excellence by using various data and information driven by institutions as an ingredient in the decision-making cycle. The method used by the author is knowledge discovery in databases (KDD) which consists of Data, Data Cleaning, Data transformation, Data mining, Pattern evolution, and knowledge. Tests are carried out using RapidMiner tools to help find the right results to overcome these problems. Finally, the results of this study are used as a reason to pursue choices in decision-making and determine promotion strategies based on groups formed from institutions.

Abstract

Babakan Mulya Village in Kuningan Regency is a location that has significant economic potential in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises MSME sector. However, this potential has not been fully exploited due to the challenges faced by MSMEs in adopting Information Technology (IT) as a tool to develop their business. Therefore, IT utilization training for MSMEs in Babakan Mulya Village is an important initiative to increase the competitiveness of the local economy. Babakan Mulya Village is located in Kuningan Regency, West Java, Indonesia. This village has a number of MSMEs covering various sectors, such as agriculture, crafts and traditional culinary delights. However, most of these MSMEs face obstacles in adopting. Cases that often occur are the inability to utilize online platforms to market their products, lack of understanding of the importance of IT in business management, and limited access to digital technology. The results of MSME empowerment activities in Babakan Mulya Village, Kuningan through training in the use of information technology, it can be concluded that the implementation Information technology has had a real positive impact on MSMEs and communities in the village. First, the adoption of information technology has increased the operational efficiency of MSMEs. Production processes and inventory management become more structured and efficient, allowing them to meet market demand in a more timely and quality manner. Second, the use of information technology expands market reach. With the ability to market products online, Babakan Mulya Village MSMEs can reach customers in various regions, even at the national level. This opens up new opportunities for business growth and increased revenue.

Abstract

Interactive video is a technology for sending electronic signals from a moving image that can describe information which in the process occurs 2-way communication between multimedia and users. This research started from the problems encountered, namely the number of elementary school students who still do not know and do not understand the human organs. The method used is the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The use of interactive video based on 2D animation is expected to attract students so they don't get bored while learning using video. The applications used to create these interactive learning videos are Corel Draw X7 for creating digital sketches and Adobe After Effects for editing digital sketches into a video. The results in this study are interactive learning videos about human organs. Learning videos can be used by students so that they can increase student interest in learning because there are 2D animations and interactions with users and can be used anytime and anywhere. So it can be concluded that this learning video received a very good response from students because it is effectively used when studying at school and at home. Respondents were taken as many as 50 students. The results of this study obtained an increase in student understanding from 40% of students or as many as 20 students to 76% or as many as 38 students. There was an increase of 36%.

Abstract

The Academic Manager of STMIK IKMI Cirebon does not know the status of theses and final assignments submitted by students for the 2020/2021 academic year. They do not know who has or has not completed the mentoring procedure until a mentoring report is issued at the end of the mentoring period. The process is done offline and each process involves manual labor, paper-based guidance cards, duplicate, invalid, or empty data are examples of data restrictions. It can take a while to search for data, missing files, or missing files through physically stacked folders. An integrated web-based information system is the solution. Users can access it from any platform, including supervisors, BAAK, heads of study programs, and students. The research method using UML (Unified Modeling Language) and Extreme Programming (XP). The results showed that White Box Testing was 85% in the Online Guidance Information System (SIMABIN) for the main module so it was feasible for the deployment process. The application has gone through the deployment process and can record all student guidance activities starting from the process of submitting titles, guidance requirements, assignment of supervisors, process of guidance sessions, to the eligibility of hearings for each guidance week. Abstract

Online lectures are still being held while Covid-19 pandemic is going to end. Suitable system is needed to ensure the quality of online learning. We must combine the teleconference with the Collaborative Learning System to maintenance the interactions between students and their lecturer. The research is to build a system that can implement the Collaborative Learning System in online lectures. The methods used are gamification and Extreme Programming. The results of the research is the Online Presence application with chat system features, real-time polling system, real-time question-answer, and real-time leaderboard.
