Abstract

This service project aims to empower Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in Gubeng District through the implementation of digital surveys. The primary objective of the project was to enhance research and data collection efficiency through the utilization of information technology, specifically by employing the CAPI survey method. The project included the creation of a tailored digital survey with the specific purpose of assessing the sustainability dimensions of the MSEs. This survey covered various factors such as products, service, management, digital aspects, and the role of the government. In addition, the project also aimed to conduct a digital survey to the respondents regarding the advantages of digital surveys. The use of a digital survey platform facilitates wider participation and makes it easier to collect data directly. The obtained data were statistically and qualitatively analyzed to produce a comprehensive insight into the sustainability dynamics of MSEs in the Gubeng Sub-district within the food and beverage sector. The advantages of implementing a digital survey include time, cost, and resource savings, as well as making it possible for researchers to achieve a more representative sample. The project's outcomes are expected to offer a comprehensive perspective on the sustainability prospects of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) within the food and beverage industry. In addition, these results aim to offer insights to stakeholders involved in crafting policies and support initiatives.

Abstract

UMKM Olahan Bunda Hamiz adalah salah satu UMKM kategori makanan dan minuman unggulan berada di wilayah Kelurahan Klampis Ngasem yang memiliki keanekaragaman menu. Dari hasil survei UMKM Olahan Bunda Hamiz diperoleh permasalahan yaitu belum dilakukannya branding usaha dengan kuat ditengah perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat oleh karena itu akan dilakukan pendampingan untuk memperkuat personal branding broduk dan merek agar mampu bersaing dengan kompetitor lain melaui platform online. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah survei dan wawancara, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), penyuluhan, dan yang terakhir adalah pendampingan. Dalam kegiatan pendampingan terlaksana 4 kegiatan yaitu re-branding logo dan stiker, inovasi dalam pengambilan foto produk, pembuatan katalog produk, dan pembuatan marketplace yaitu  whatsapp bussines. hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pelaku UMKM Olahan Bunda Hamiz sudah bisa menerapkan digital branding untuk mengoptimalkan peningkatan penjualan produknya.

Abstract

Kelurahan Menur Pumpungan merupakan salah satu kelurahan yang terletak di Kecamatan Sukolilo yang mempunyai potensi dari segi ekonomi yang dapat dilihat dari banyaknya jenis Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah. Banyaknya UMKM yang ada di wilayah tersebut dapat mendukung tingkat perekonomian masyarakat. Banyaknya potensi yang dimiliki oleh UMKM tak luput dari berbagai permasalahan. Salah satu contohnya yaitu kegiatan pemasaran yang masih menggunakan cara tradisional dan tidak memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi digital marketing. Oleh karena itu jangkauan pemasaran produk UMKM juga masih terbatas. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang kami lakukan bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang pemanfaatan digital marketing untuk mendukung pemasaran produk. Kegiatan yang kami lakukan meliputi penyuluhan digital marketing dan pendampingan pembuatan WhatsApp Business, penambahan titik Google Maps, dan Linktree UMKM. Sebelum dilaksanakan kegiatan tersebut kami melakukan survey dan wawancara untuk menemukan solusi. Dari pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut, UMKM  Kelurahan Menur Pumpungan telah memiliki akun media sosial sebagai media pemasaran online.

Abstract

Kurangnya pengetahuan dalam penggunaan teknologi pemasaran online dan kurangnya pemahaman dalam mengelola usaha melalui situs web, media sosial, dan marketplace, telah menyebabkan produk yang dijual hanya dikenal di wilayah lokal. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan pemasaran digital dalam rangka Kuliah Kerja Nyata yang diikuti oleh 10 pelaku UMKM di Kelurahan Penjaringansari. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu pelaku UMKM memahami strategi digital marketing dan online marketing. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pemasaran digital yang berfokus pada pembuatan konten yang menarik (menjual melalui cerita) melalui foto dan video dapat membantu pelaku UMKM meningkatkan kualitas dan produktivitas perusahaannya dengan inovasi ide dan memperluas peluncuran produk. .

Abstract

Persons with disabilities in Indonesia still face significant challenges in achieving independence due to discriminatory views and limited access to various services, including assistive devices. In Surabaya City, with a substantial number of persons with disabilities, the Social Services Department of Surabaya City, through its social rehabilitation program, strives to improve their quality of life by distributing assistive devices. This program involves systematic stages, starting from receiving reports, conducting field surveys, measuring assistive devices, to distributing aid to recipients in need. The program successfully distributed various assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, and prosthetic limbs, with a total of 254 units during the writer's internship period (September 23 - December 31, 2024). As a result, recipients demonstrated significant improvements in independence, both in carrying out daily activities and in interacting with others. Additionally, the families of the recipients also experienced benefits in the form of reduced burdens, as family members who were previously fully dependent now have greater abilities to manage their own needs. This program is expected to continue to grow and provide further solutions to help build an inclusive and empowered society for persons with disabilities in Surabaya.

Abstract

Dalam konteks globalisasi dan meningkatnya kesadaran lingkungan, masyarakat semakin menyadari pentingnya  konsumsi berkelanjutan. Go Green Chop merupakan inovasi dalam mendukung prinsip ekonomi sirkular dengan konsep "give and take". Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesediaan untuk membayar (Willingness to Pay) dan menganalisis karakteristik konsumen dari produk sumpit tanam Go Green Chop. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner kepada 67 responden di Kota Surabaya. Hasil menunjukkan mayoritas responden bersedia membayar dengan range harga Rp. 10.000 – Rp. 15.000, dengan karakteristik konsumen yang dipengaruhi oleh jenis kelamin Perempuan, Tingkat Pendidikan Sarjana (S1), kelompok usia 20-30 tahun, pekerjaan pelajar atau mahasiswa, dan pendapatan per bulan sebesar < Rp. 1.500.000. Responden setuju bahwa Go Green Chop memiliki dampak positif terhadap lingkungan. Meskipun ada kekhawatiran terkait harga, keamanan produk, dan pengetahuan tentang inovasi, strategi edukasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan penerimaan produk di pasar.

Abstract

                This study aims to analyze the influence of economic freedom and macroeconomic factors on economic growth in 30 countries during the period 2013-2022. In this context, Economic Freedom (EC) is measured using the economic freedom index which includes aspects such as trade freedom, regulation, and fiscal policy. Meanwhile, the macroeconomic factors studied include Inflation (INF), International Trade (PI), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Population Growth (POP). The data used in this study are secondary, obtained from international sources such as the World Bank and the Heritage Foundation's Index of Economic Freedom. The analytical method applied is panel data regression to test the relationship between these variables and economic growth as the dependent variable. The results of the study show that economic freedom significantly affects economic growth, where countries with higher levels of economic freedom tend to have better economic growth. In addition, macroeconomic factors such as International Trade, FDI and Population Growth were also found to have a positive impact on economic growth, while Inflation has a negative impact because every country wants a low inflation rate. This research makes an important contribution to the understanding of the factors that influence economic growth, as well as the application of economic policies that can be implemented by countries with varying levels of economic freedom

Abstract

Women have a strategic role in economic development, but their participation in the job market is often constrained by social, economic, and cultural factors. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the Female Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAKP) in East Java Province during the period 2014–2023. The variables studied include the minimum wage, the average length of schooling, and the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP). The data used is a combined panel data between time-lapse data and cross-data from 38 districts/cities in East Java. This research method uses panel data regression analysis with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) model. The results of the study show that the minimum wage and the average length of schooling have a positive and significant influence on TPAKP. Rising wages encourage women to enter the job market, while higher education improves skills and job opportunities. In contrast, GDP has a positive but insignificant influence, as structural barriers in the economic sector limit women's participation. The study suggests increasing the minimum wage, investing in skills education and training, as well as gender-inclusive policies to increase women's participation in the job market. This research is also expected to be a reference for further studies that can expand the understanding of TPAKP determinants in other regions.

Abstract

Wonosalam is in a very the villages in Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency, East Java Province. Wonosalam Village has numerous business potentials which will be developed into holidaymaker destinations, each natural and artificial tourism. the aim of developing a tourist village is to extend growth and preserve the surroundings in an area. The involvement of the encircling community within the method of developing a tourist village will empower the community to create the village in a cooperative way. The existence of tourist destinations can not be separated from the role of pentahelix in the development of tourist villages. it's hoped that with the increasing role of the pentahelix actor, it will improve the event of its holidaymaker village. the upper the role of pentahelix actors (government, academics, business people, mass media, and also the community) in village development, the bigger the probabilities of the village changing into a developed and developing tourist village.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi memainkan peran penting dalam aksesibilitas data ekonomi. Artikel ini membahas implementasi teknologi web crawling pada situs web BPS Provinsi Jawa Timur untuk mengatasi tantangan akses data PDRB. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah implementasi dan mengevaluasi dampaknya. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa teknologi web crawling berhasil meningkatkan ketersediaan dan kualitas data PDRB, memungkinkan analisis ekonomi yang lebih cepat dan akurat. Kegiatan ini memberikan solusi konkret untuk permasalahan aksesibilitas data, dengan potensi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengambilan keputusan ekonomi di Jawa Timur.
