Learning Method is a way that is done by a teacher so that learning processes occur in students to achieve learning goals. This study aims to know significantly the influence of the Team Games Tournament learning method on the ability to recognize vocabulary about nouns students of Medan Charles Wesley Methodist Middle School. The learning material taught to students of Medan's Charles Wesley Methodist Middle School is a book from Taiwan, namely Hello, åŽè¯! which is a Chinese language textbook at the Medan Charles Wesley Methodist Middle School. This research was conducted in the school of Charles Wesley Methodist Middle School in Medan, specifically 7th grade students of junior high school, namely classes 7A and 7B. The research design used was a quantitative research design. The analysis of the results of the research used is the analysis of the t-test. The results of this study indicate that the Team Games Tournament learning method significantly influences the mandarin language skills of Medan Charles Wesley Methodist Middle School students

Bahasa Mandarin merupakan bahasa asing yang susah bagi siswa – siswi di Indonesia dan sebagian besar pendidik hanya fokus dalam mengajarkan materi belajar, sehingga terjadi kejenuhan dan kebosanan dalam proses pembelajaran. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti apakah materi kebudayaan dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa – siswi sekolah Methodist Charles Wesley. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data Miles & Huberman. Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Pelajaran bahasa Mandarin cukup menarik, metode pembelajaran dari pendidik juga baik dan kreatif, namun materi belajar lebih terbatas. (2) Materi kebudayaan meningkatkan minat belajar siswa – siswi. Namun, materi kebudayaan memiliki tantangannya sendiri yaitu: pendidik harus menguasai materi tersebut dan tidak semua alat ataupun bahan ada di Indonesia.

Tujuan dari penulisan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami cara menggunakan Bahasa Mandarin untuk komunikasi bisnis dalam transaksi pembelian barang, untuk mengetahui faktor- faktor yang mempengaruhi kelancaran komunikasi bisnis, dan untuk mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi dalam komunikasi bisnis dan cara mengatasinya. adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan metode observasi, metode wawancara, studi pustaka, dan metode dokumen, yang sebagian besarnya dilakukan dengan metode wawancara. Ada 2 hal pokok yang harus diperhatikan agar komunikasi bisnis berbahasa mandarin dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Pertama adalah penguasaan Bahasa Mandarin bisnis dan yang kedua adalah kemampuan untuk dapat memahami dasar psikologi lawan bicara.. Kendala dari faktor bahasa dapat dilihat dari adanya pemahaman kosakata bisnis yang kurang, kalimat yang terlalu panjang, kalimat ambigu, kalimat dengan tata bahasa yang tidak lengkap dan peribahasa. Kendala ini dapat diatasi dengan terus belajar dan memperkaya khasanah bahasa Mandarin dalam bidang bisnis, mencari di kamus atau internet, atau bertanya langsung dengan lawan bicara kita. Sedangkan dari faktor psikologi, kendala dapat dilihat saat harus berhadapan dengan orang yang pasif, tidak sabaran, atau orang yang sulit diajak berkompromi.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami peran media audio visual terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Mandarin siswa kelas 5 SD Global Prima Medan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan guru dan siswa sebagai partisipan utama untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang mendalam mengenai penerapan media audio visual dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media audio visual memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar siswa. Observasi di kelas menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih aktif dan antusias saat belajar menggunakan media audio visual dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Dokumentasi hasil belajar siswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan yang konsisten dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan berbahasa Mandarin setelah penggunaan media audio visual. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa media audio visual efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa Mandarin siswa kelas 5 SD Global Prima Medan. Penggunaan media ini dapat memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik dan interaktif bagi siswa, sehingga disarankan untuk diimplementasikan secara lebih luas dalam pembelajaran bahasa asing di sekolah dasar.

Mandarin is currently significant in global commerce, particularly in the import sector, where it involves collaboration with Chinese trading partners. As one of the world’s leading exporters, proficiency in Mandarin is a key advantage for businesses aiming to broaden their market presence and ensure efficient import operations. This research aims to thoroughly examine how the function and role of the Mandarin language are utilized in the operational aspects of PT Anson Ratu Bakindo, including communication and negotiation processes, document management, and the maintenance of business relationships with Chinese suppliers. Through interviews and observations with the owner and employees at PT Anson Ratu Bakindo, it was found that the use of Mandarin directly enhances communication effectiveness, reduces language misunderstandings, and accelerates transaction processes. The results of this study indicate that if the company’s owner and purchasing department staff at PT Anson Ratu Bakindo possess fluent Mandarin language skills, daily operations can be conducted effectively without misunderstandings, such as incorrect types or quantities of delivered goods. Therefore, Mandarin language training for employees at PT Anson Ratu Bakindo, as well as recruiting staff with Mandarin proficiency, is recommended as part of the human resources development strategy and international business expansion. In conclusion, the Mandarin language not only serves as a medium of communication but also as a supporting factor for success in the import business.

This study highlights the misalignment between the competencies of Mandarin language instructors and the demands of the creative economy and tourism sectors in Indonesia. The main objective is to identify the developmental needs of human resources in Mandarin instruction and to formulate a training model relevant to industry requirements. The method used is a library research approach with descriptive-qualitative analysis, utilizing sources such as books, academic journals, and research reports. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to examine the required competencies in the field. The findings reveal that the integration of linguistic proficiency, intercultural communication, and technological teaching skills is an urgent need that is currently not well accommodated in existing training programs.

Mastery of foreign languages, especially Mandarin, is something that must be done by the younger generation, but Mandarin is very difficult to learn, even though educators have used flash card media and PowerPoint media, their use is too monotonous, so this still causes boredom for students. the students. The purpose of this study was to examine whether the game method combined with flash card media and PowerPoint slides could increase the learning interest of Methodist Charles Wesley students. The data analysis used is Miles & Huberman's data analysis. The results of this study are: (1) The game is not the most important in learning, but is a complementary method to increase students' interest in learning. (2) Educators must be creative in choosing games. And in the game method which is combined with flash card media and powerpoint slide media, it also has its own challenges, namely: educators must spend more time preparing materials and learning how to use these media more creatively.

Beginner learners of Mandarin often struggle with pronunciation, pinyin, and complex vocabulary, especially when instructional materials are not adapted to their proficiency levels. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of individualized instruction (one-to-one tutoring) and group-based instruction (one-to-many teaching) in supporting beginner students’ Mandarin learning. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, the research involved 35 middle school students at Charles Wesley Methodist Private Middle School. Five students with the lowest pretest scores received one-to-one instruction, while the remaining thirty participated in group-based learning. Data were collected through participatory observation, documentation of learning outcomes, and student reflections, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s framework, including reduction, categorization, and thematic analysis. Results show that one-to-one instruction was particularly effective in improving pronunciation accuracy and comprehension for low-achieving and less confident students, while group-based instruction fostered motivation, peer collaboration, and vocabulary mastery, especially among active learners. The findings emphasize that teaching effectiveness depends on aligning instructional methods with learner characteristics. This study contributes to second language acquisition research by highlighting the importance of differentiated instruction. Limitations include the small sample size, single-site context, and the dual role of the researcher. Future research should expand the participant pool and explore hybrid models combining the strengths of both approaches.
