Abstract

In the current era of information technology, the use of images is widely applied in various aspects of life. Some of the uses of image processing include the fields of military, medicine, education, agriculture and so on. One example of the use of image processing that will be discussed in this study is in the agricultural sector. Farmers can take advantage of technology in selecting fruit with the appropriate maturity level. In terms of selecting fruit based on the level of maturity, some fruit farmers still use the conventional method or with the human sense of sight, namely the eye. Therefore, this study was conducted for preliminary research that can change the conventional method into system that uses technology that makes a computerized way of identifying fruit maturity levels. The system that will be used to identify fruit maturity uses the Gray Level Co-occurance Matrix method on digital images and Euclidean Distance as a classification method. This application is built using MatLab 2019a programming. The test results show that the Gray Level Co-occurance Matrix and Euclidean Distance methods can be used to identify the ripeness of guava, oranges, bananas, papayas and mangoes into three categories, namely raw, unripe and ripe. The Gray Level Co-occurance Matrix and Euclidean Distance classification methods succeeded in identifying fruit maturity with an overall success rate of 87%.

Abstract

Children are not allowed to visit the hospital. Children should not visit the hospital for two reasons, namely the patient's side and the child's side. On the patient's side, patients need peace of mind during treatment and recovery. The noise generated by children makes the atmosphere not conducive and increases the patient's stress level. On the child's side, there are two factors, namely immunity, and trauma. Children have incomplete immunity so they are easily infected by viruses and bacteria. A child's immune disorder will harm the child's development. Apart from viruses and bacteria, in hospitals, there are also patients with major injuries such as those resulting from accidents. Children who see these large wounds can traumatize themselves and interfere with the child's growth and development. The age classification of visitors supports for hospital management to limit visitors based on age. Visitors categorized as children are visitors aged 12 years or younger. The method used for age group classification is the pre-trained CNN, including Alexnet, VGGNet, GoogleNet, ResNet, and AqueezeNet. We conducted a preliminary study using the All-Age-Faces (AAF) dataset as test data that represents the age of hospital visitors. The dataset is divided into two classes, namely children and adults. Based on the SqueezeNet test, it is a better method in terms of training accuracy and validation. Based on the order of accuracy validation, SqueezeNet succeeded in recognizing age groups with an accuracy of 93.09%, VGGNet 92.72%, AlexNet 91.44%, GoogleNet 90.92%, and ResNet 90.62%. This research is expected to contribute to helping control visitors to the hospital.

Abstract

Di era sekarang Bahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa yang sudah umum digunakan oleh dunia, baik dalam dunia pendidikan maupun dunia kerja. Proses pembelajaran bahasa inggris saat ini sudah banyak dipelajari melalui media online dalam bentuk aplikasi di smarphone pengguna ataupun pada website. Dalam proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan siswa dasar disekolah kebanyakan masih dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan papan tulis dan buku sebagai media pembelajaran. Bahasa Inggris merupakan mata pelajaran yang kurang disukai para siswa di sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini membuat sebuah desain UI/UX untuk aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis game untuk menambah kosakata bahasa inggris dengan penerapan metode HCD (Human Centered Desain). Dimana metode HCD memiliki tiga tahapan pendekatan, yaitu inspirasi, ideation, dan implentasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan wawancara untuk menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini dalam bentuk desain high-fidelity prototype untuk memperoleh hasil evaluasi dari pengguna atau user dari sisi tampilan user interfacenya.

There are so many business travel destinations that are financed directly by the company such as: Business visits, parties, general meetings, educational and training activities as well as socialization. The method used by the author in this study is the Waterfall method which consists of: Requirements, Design, implementation, Verification and Maintenance. The result of this research is to produce an information system for official travel orders that will assist employees in the process of submitting a letter of assignment and the process of calculating official travel costs.

Abstract

Tomuan Holbung Village is a village in North Sumatra. As a village, there is still information that has not been accessed by many other people through public communication, namely the internet. Where there is a Posyandu currently has a meaningful role to support public health services. The role of the Posyandu is accompanied by the increasingly visible role of the community after the emergence of the Posyandu as a form of community-based health effort. Apart from that, Posyandu activities have been running smoothly so far because of the Posyandu Information System (SIP) book as an implementation guide. Technology contributes to structuring management systems and work processes in government and private agencies. One of the applications of Information Technology in village life is the use of a web-based Mother and Child Posyandu Information System. In this design, the web-based Posyandu information system is analysis, design, coding and testing as well as entity relationship diagrams in designing the database. The Posyandu information system is equipped with a web-based display so that users can adjust the contents in the system as a means of information in designing a web-based Mother and Child Posyandu Information System in Tomuan Holbung Village.

Abstract

SMK Negeri 9 Medan is a Vocational High School located in Medan City with various majors, such as Social Nursing, Computer Network Engineering, Software Engineering, Multimedia, Animation, and Visual Communication Design. Scheduling subjects is necessary so that the teaching and learning process can take place. The process of scheduling conventional subjects often results in schedule collisions. To overcome these problems the authors conducted research aimed at creating a Web-based Subject Scheduling Information System using the Prototyping Method. This application was created to prevent schedule collisions and facilitate the process of making subject scheduling. The prototyping method is carried out by interviewing prospective users. The resulting system helps with scheduling with a class schedule approach in one week. So that making a schedule only needs to choose subjects and supporting teachers. In addition, users are assisted by the set number of schedules below the minimum and standards for consideration in making schedules.

Abstract

Mengikuti perkembangan generasi Z sekarang dan seiring berkembangnya penerapan iptek diberbagai instansi pendidikan, kami pengusulkan penggunaan e-library di SMA N 1 Binjai. Karna sistem perpustakaan yang sedang berjalan sekarang masih dilakukan secara konvensional atau manual dimana proses peminjaman dan pengembalian buku dicatat dalam sebuah buku besar dan pencarian buku masih dilakukan secara satu persatu. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk memberikan kemudahan dalam melakukan peminjaman dan pengembalian buku secara cepat, mengetahui denda untuk keterlambatan pengembalian, dan bisa melihat buku dalam bentuk e-book. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan waterfall dimana tiap tahapannya dilakukan secara berurut. Hasil dari penelitian ini memiliki sebanyak 3 orang pengguna, diantaranya admin, pegawai perpus, dan siswa sebagai anggota perpustakaan.

Abstract

Absence is a routine activity carried out by students every time they carry out learning activities. The attendance process at school is generally still done manually. So it takes a lot of time to learn and teach. Arduino is an open source technology. So that research was carried out related to this Radio Frequency Identification or RFID Arduino based attendance system. RFID has advantages over other attendance methods. This advantage is that there is no need to bring in students to record initial data like in the others. Furthermore, a web-based information system functions to manage student attendance. This information system was built using the PHP programming language and the Laravel framework. Laravel is a PHP framework that has functions to facilitate the development of web-based applications. Apart from that, Laravel also has a good application security system. So in this study the authors tried to develop an Arduino and Laravel RFID-based student attendance system as an attendance management application for admins. After doing research, PHP cannot read data via serial port directly. Therefore we need an additional desktop-based application. The desktop-based attendance application functions to retrieve data from Arduino and perform attendance to the database. The attendance process begins with the input of meeting material by the teacher. Based on the last meeting the teacher input the absence process by RFID is carried out. The results of this study are that the system can only handle one class for an Arduino RFID device.

Abstract

The research problem of this study is the urgent need for real-time parking availability information to assist drivers in quickly and accurately locating available parking spaces, aiming to improve upon the accuracy not achieved by previous studies. The objective of this research is to enhance the classification accuracy of parking spaces using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model, specifically by integrating an effective normalizing function into the CNN architecture. The research method employed involves the application of four distinct normalizing functions to the EfficientParkingNet, a tailored CNN architecture designed for the precise classification of parking spaces. The results indicate that the EfficientParkingNet model, when equipped with the Group Normalization function, outperforms other models using Batch Normalization, Inter-Channel Local Response Normalization, and Intra-Channel Local Response Normalization in terms of classification accuracy. Furthermore, it surpasses other similar CNN models such as mAlexnet, you only look once (Yolo)+mobilenet, and CarNet in the same classification task. This demonstrates that EfficientParkingNet with Group Normalization significantly enhances parking space classification, thus providing drivers with more reliable and accurate parking availability information.
