Abstract

System of nonlinear equations is a collection of some nonlinear equations. The Newton-Raphson method and Jacobian method are methods used for solving systems of nonlinear equations. The Newton-Raphson methods uses first and second derivatives and indeed does perform better than the steepest descent method if the initial point is close to the minimizer. Jacobian method is a method of resolving equations through iteration process using simultaneous equations. If the Newton-Raphson methods and Jacobian methods are compared with the exact value, the Jacobian method is the closest to exact value but has more iterations. In this study the Newton-Raphson method gets the results faster than the Jacobian method (Newton-Raphson iteration method is 5 and 58 in the Jacobian iteration method). In this case, the Jacobian method gets results closer to the exact value.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to determine the pricing of unit-linked insurance after attaching the minimum guarantees, which are guaranteed minimum maturity benefit (GMMB) and guaranteed minimum death benefit (GMDB) using the Black-Scholes-Merton Method. Before the new price is determined, the previous steps are find the value of and for GMMB or and for GMDB. The result of pricing on the cases in this research, resulted if the new price included GMMB with the interest rate 6% and management expenses 0% and 2% are changed from Rp 21.000.000,00 become Rp 21.003.000,00 and Rp 21.031.000,00. On the other hand, the new price for interest rates 14% and 20% with both management expenses are constant. Furthermore, the new price included GMDB with management expense 0% and 2% also interest rates 6%, 14%, and 20% in succession are changed from Rp 21.000.000,00 become Rp 25.132.000,00; Rp 21.031.000,00; Rp 21.002.000,00; Rp 44.521.000,00; Rp 44.520.000,00 and Rp 44.520.000,00.

Abstract

Optimization problems can be solved by various methods, such as Lagrange Method.   This  method can be used to find the solution. Using Lagrange method, the extreme value can be obtained, so that the optimal solution can be found. In this research, the maximum revenue of UD. Sari Madu is a limited by several constraints. After the objective function and constraint function being model, than maximum revenue is found. From first until fourth quarterly, the maximum revenue is found Rp. 9.701.333, Rp. 10.064.148, 9.793.272 and Rp. 9.397.730 respectively.

Abstract

Premium reserve is a number of fund that need to be raised by insurance company in preparation for the payment of claims. This study aims to get the formula of premium reserve as well as the value of the premium reserve for joint life insurance by using retrospective calculation method. Joint life insurance participants in this study are limited to 2 people. Calculations in this study is using Indonesian Mortality Table (TMI) 2011, joint life mortality tables, commutation tables, value of annuities, value of single premiums and constant annual premium and using constant interest rates of 5%. The results showed that by using age of the participant insurance joint life of x = 50 and y = 45 years and the premium payment period of t = 10 years, we obtained that the value of premium reserve from the end of the first year until the  end of the 11th year has increased every year, while the value of premium reserves from the end of the 12th year and so on until a lifetime has decreased every year.

Abstract

Employees can be referred to as company assets because they play an important role in the progress and decline of a company. So the company can protect the welfare of employees when their age can no longer be productive, one of which is to include employees in pension fund insurance. This study aims to calculate and compare the normal contributions that participants must pay using the methods Projected Unit Credit and Aggregate Cost. The calculation of normal contributions using the method Projected Unit Credit uses the present value of the pension benefits divided by the length of service. The Method Aggregate Cost uses the present value of the pension benefits minus the accumulated funds and divided by the term annuity. The result of this research is that the normal contribution amount using the method Projected Unit Credit is lower in the payments in the first years than using the method Aggregate Cost. The Method contribution Projected Unit Credit increases significantly as the length of service period and the method Aggregate Cost increases slowly but increases sharply as the retirement age approaches.

Abstract

This paper introduces the joint life satatus for married couples with independent and dependent mortality models. Using Frank copula and Indonesia Life Tables 2011, we evaluate the impact of dependent future lifetimes on the net single and level premium. The results show premium rates are reduced if models of dependent future lifetime are used compared to the models using an assumption of independence.

Abstract

Vasicek is one of the stochastic interest rate models that can figure out fluctuating interest rate movements. This study aims to determine the actuarial calculation of normal contributions and actuarial liability with Vasicek interest rates using entry age normal (EAN) method. Based on the calculation of normal contribution and actuarial liability with Vasicek interest rate using this method for normal retirement age of 56 years obtained a smaller value than using constant interest rate.

Abstract

Determination of insurance premiums is very important the calculation must be done carefully so that there is experience losses. The purpose of this research is to find out the application of empirical Bayes credibility theory Model 1 and estimate of the credibility premium on general insurance. A method that can help in overcoming these problems, that is empirical Bayes credibility theory Model 1, results of the estimated credibility premium credibility (in Euros) for insurance companies Alianz, Csob, Generali, Koop, Unisqa, and Wusten respectively as follows: 46.774811, 7.801307, 10.368991, 58.812250, 6.703035, and 5.091605. These results, the average claim is greater than the credibility premium, so that insurance companies can reserve premiums for the future.

Abstract

Joint Life insurance is an insurance that covered two individuals in one policy. The purpose of this research is to determine and to compare the reserve value of Joint Life insurance using New Jersey method and Prospective method with and without New Jersey method. The method that used in this research are New Jersey method, the participants of this assurance is a couple of husband and wife between 45 and 40 years old with 30 years period, interest levels at 6,5%. The results of this represent reserve value with New Jersey method always smaller, and the reserve value in the 30 years period have the same result using New Jersey method and Prospective method.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the annual premium formula that turns on the joint life insurance. This formula uses the reference insurance contracts of the previous research Insurance Models for Joint Life and Last Survivor Benefits. The first step is to determine the value of mortality tables by using the Table Helligman-pollard. Furthermore, determining the value of a life annuity and single premium. The results of this research was formula to be affected by the changing premium () with the increase and decrease in constant interest.
