Abstract

The objective of study is to identify practice of informing community leaders on HIV/AIDS in sub Tanjungmas Semarang. This study used a descriptive analytic with cross sectional design. With a population sample of community leaders in this case the RT in the region of the village of Tanjung mas Semarang City with random sampling technique of 50 respondents. Used statistical test with chi-square. The result showed there is one variable that affects the results of statistical tests with significance level obtained p value 0.037, was means there is a relationship between attitudes to the practice of giving information about public figures in keluarahan Tanjungmas Semarang attitude intact affected by knowledge, beliefs and emotions. When the community leaders have heard about the causes, consequences/harm, prevention and transmission of HIV/AIDS and so on, then this knowledge will bring the community leaders to think of behavior towards prevention of HIV/AIDS on him and people they lead.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to describe sleep quality and identify factors influencing sleep quality among elderly at geriatric residence of Rindang Asih , Ungaran, Semarang. The research design was descriptive study, using purposive sampling. 20 elderly at geriatric residence are being respondent in this study. Collecting data used Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and factors influencing sleep quality check list which made by the researcher. The research result has shown poor quality of elderly at geriatric residence of Rindang Asih , Ungaran, Semarang dominant in this setting and it was dominated by elderly on 75 years old or older. Sleep quality in this setting was influenced by age, physical illness, activity, anxiety, and physical environment. The health care provider should know the sleep problems, sleep necessary and habitual sleep of patients by assessment so that a good intervention for the clients can be performed satisfactorily.

Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the effect on the number of larvae modified ovitrap trapped. This research was quasy experiment. The subjects were 80 homes with attached 200 ovitrap consisting of 100 pieces ovitrap modified: hay infusion 10% and 100 pieces of modified ovitrap: waterwells at four RT in the Village Tembalang and Bulusan. The result showed that the rate of HI, CI, BI and ABJ on modified ovitrap: hay infusion 10% higher than the modified ovitrap: water wells. The results found significant differences between the modified ovitrap with hay soaking water modifiedovitrap: water wells to the number of larvae (p = 0.001). It is recommended that communities should play an active role in eradicating the mosquito Aedes aegypti with installation ovitrap modified to reduce Aedes aegypti mosquito populations by breaking the cycle of life.

Abstract

International Diabetes Federation (IDF) reported that the number of DM patients worldwide increases every year. Indonesia ranks sixth with the highest DM prevalence globally after China, India, the United States, Brazil, and Mexico. The main problem caused by DM patients is the instability of blood sugar levels. Alternative treatments for Diabetes Mellitus with complementary therapy are acupressure therapy, which can prevent complications and improve blood sugar levels. This study examines the effectiveness of acupressure pen and active stretching on fasting blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. This true research experiment with the design using pre-test and post-test control group design. Data collection involved 38 respondents of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients, selected through technique probability sampling with simple random sampling. The intervention group was received the acupressure pen and active stretching (Acupenas) therapy with metformin drug 2x500 mg. In contrast, the control group only received therapy metformin drug 2x500 mg without acupressure pen and active stretching. Independent t-test results showed significant differences with the average fasting blood sugar levels p-value 0.002 (<0.05). It was indicated that the intervention group is better at lowering blood sugar levels than the control group seen from the higher difference value. Complementary therapy is acupressure pen and active stretching was effective in reducing blood sugar levels in type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendahuluan : Rheumatoid Artritis (RA) merupakan suatu penyakit autoimun, ditandai dengan adanya proses peradangan kronis, bersifat sistematik. Salah satu jenis rematik yang sering tampak pada usia lanjut adalah arthritis rheumatoid. Tujuan : penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi Remuatoid Artritis pada lansia berdasarkan Literature Review (LitRef). Metode : Literature Review diambil dari artikel jurnal yang dipublikasikan secara online yang terdiri dari jurnal bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris. Kriteria pengambilan artikel adalah yang sesuai dengan kata kunci dan terbit minimal tahun 2004-2019. Hasil : LitRef menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang pempengaruhi Reumatoid Aretitis pada lansia adalah (konsumsi obat-obatan, menopause, fraktur, usia, gaya hidup, obesitas, keturunan, pengetahuan, alkohol, gizi) Kata Kunci: Literatur revew, Reumatoid Artritis, Lansia

Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the combination of hypnotherapy and acupressure (hypno-pressure) on anxiety levels in patients with cardiovascular disorders. Methods: A quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest with control group design was used. Fifty-six respondents were selected using purposive sampling in this study, which 28 respondents were randomly assigned in the experiment and control group. The Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) Form Y was used to measure anxiety. Paired t-test and Independent t-test were used for data analysis. Results: There was a significant effect of hypno-pressure on the decrease of anxiety levels in patients with cardiovascular disorder with p-value 0.000 (<0.05), t = 7.217, and effect size of 1.96. Conclusion: Hypno-pressure could reduce anxiety levels in patients with cardiovascular disorder.

Abstract

Background: Promoting public health is applied by health care professionals including nurses. The focus of health promotion by nurses traditionally has been on disease prevention and changing the client behavior with respect to their health. In fact, the role as promoters of heath by nurses is not as simple as we perceive. It is because they have experience and multi-disciplinary knowledge of health promotion in their nursing practice. Aims: This study presents a systematic review aimed at examining the findings of existing research studies (2001-2016) of health promotion roles by nurses. Methods: A systematic search of databases using EBSCOhost, ProQuest, and Science Direct were conducted. The 353 articles included were extracted and verified and a new interpretation of the concepts extracted was generated. Results: 12 research articles met the inclusion criteria and included in this review. Nurses play an important role in relation to health promotion in any setting like hospital, community, primary care and home care. Conclusion: This review need to be confirmed by well-designed large studies which engage validated procedures of nurses’ role in health promotion practice and involve multivariate analyses to make sure the real role of nurses regarding health promotion practice.

Abstract

Rhematoid Arthritis merupakan penyakit peradangan pada sendi yang disebabkan sistem kekebalan tubuh yang menyerang jaringannya sendiri. Keluhan yang ditimbulkan yaitu bengkak, nyeri dan sendi terasa kaku. Masalah utama pada penderita Rhematoid Arthritis yaitu nyeri sehingga menyebabkan aktivitas fisik menjadi terganggu. Sehingga perlu diberikan penatalaksanaan farmakologi atau non farmakalogi untuk menurunkan nyeri pada penderita Rhematoid Arthritis. Tujuan literature ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi terapi non farmakologi untuk mengurangi nyeri berdasarkan sumber literature jurnal penelitian ilmiah yang terkait. Metode yang digunakan diawali dengan pemilihan topik, kemudian ditentukan keyword yaitu: rheumatoid arthritis, nyeri, pentalaksanaan non farmakologi untuk mencari jurnal bahasa Indonesia atau bahasa Inggris melalui beberapa database, antara lain: perpusnas, portal garuda dan google scholar. Pencarian ini dibatasi untuk jurnal mulai tahun 2016 sampai 2020. Jurnal yang sudah ditemukan kemudian di pilih berdasarkan kriteria berdasarkan PICO yang sudah ditentukan. Intervensi non farmakologi dari jurnal yang ditemukan berpengaruh dalam penurunan intensitas nyeri pada pasien Rhematoid Arthritis terbukti dari terjadi penurunan rata-rata pada skala nyeri sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi non farmakologi.Kata Kunci: Nyeri, Rhematoid Arthritis, Pentalaksanaan Non Farmakologi
