Abstract

Purpose: This study seeks to determine the relationship of creativity and self-efficacy with entrepreneurial readiness among Generation Z in Medan City. Research Methodology: An associative design within a quantitative approach was applied. The sample comprised 100 Generation Z respondents residing in Medan City who were interested in entrepreneurship. Respondents were chosen through purposive sampling, and information was gathered by administering a Likert-scale questionnaire. SPSS version 29 was used to process the data through validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, Pearson correlation, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. Results: Partial testing showed a positive and significant relationship between creativity and entrepreneurial readiness (t = 4.594; p < 0.001). Self-efficacy likewise had a positive and significant relationship with entrepreneurial readiness (t = 3.136; p = 0.002). Joint testing also indicated a significant relationship of creativity and self-efficacy with entrepreneurial readiness (F = 4.125; p = 0.019). Together, the variables accounted for 7.8% of the variation in entrepreneurial readiness, leaving 92.2% associated with factors beyond the study. Conclusions: Generation Z respondents who demonstrate greater capacity to produce and develop ideas and stronger confidence in their business capabilities generally show greater entrepreneurial readiness. Nevertheless, the model's small contribution suggests that creativity and self-efficacy alone do not provide a comprehensive explanation of entrepreneurial readiness. Limitations: The study covers only 100 Generation Z respondents in Medan City selected through purposive sampling. A cross-sectional design and self-reported questionnaires further restrict the generalizability of its findings and prevent causal conclusions from being drawn. Contributions: By emphasizing entrepreneurial readiness instead of focusing solely on entrepreneurial intention, this study broadens research on entrepreneurship among Generation Z. Its findings support incorporating idea-development activities and business simulations into entrepreneurship programs to reinforce participants' self-efficacy.

Abstract

The present study is directed at assessing the effects of recipient data accuracy, program planning, and Sharia-compliant consumption behavior on the achievement of program success under the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Parpaudangan Village, North Labuhanbatu Regency. All 103 PKH beneficiary households served as respondents in this study, which used a quantitative approach with an associative design; data were obtained through questionnaires under a total sampling technique and analyzed with SPSS version 25. Both partial and simultaneous analyses confirm that recipient data accuracy, program planning, and Sharia consumption behavior positively and significantly contribute to PKH program success. The model's R² of 0.908 reveals that these variables jointly account for 90.8% of the variance in program success, leaving 9.2% explained by variables outside the model. These findings suggest that improving recipient data accuracy, strengthening program planning, and promoting Sharia-compliant consumption behavior may contribute to more effective PKH implementation

Abstract

Purpose: This study addresses uneven personnel competence, irregular training, and the suboptimal use of SRIKANDI at the Pangkalan Susu Urban Village Office. It examines how personnel capacity building, internal oversight, and digital administration interact and complement one another in strengthening fund management accountability. Research Methodology: This qualitative case study, conducted in May 2026, employed in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis involving three key informants the Head of the Urban Village, the Urban Village Secretary, and the administrative operator directly involved in administration, fund management, and internal oversight. Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation. Results: Capacity building enhanced personnel comprehension of financial procedures and digital administration, fostering systematic documentation and reliable reporting, while internal oversight reinforced these gains through monitoring. Nonetheless, administrative integration remained constrained by limited personnel, irregular training, and inconsistent SRIKANDI utilization. Conclusions: Accountability is strengthened through the integration of continuous personnel development, effective internal oversight, and adaptive digital administration; local governments should therefore prioritize competency programs, role clarity, internal controls, and sustained digital support. Limitations: This study was limited to one urban village office and three purposively selected informants; findings may not fully generalize to urban villages with differing institutional structures, administrative capacities, and governance arrangements. Contributions: Theoretically, this study shows accountability emerges from the interaction of organizational capacity, control mechanisms, and digital administration rather than reporting compliance alone; practically, it guides efforts to strengthen personnel competence, internal oversight, and digital-administration readiness.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines how green business practices contribute to the competitive advantage of resource-constrained crystal ice MSMEs in Medan City through resource efficiency, operational improvement, cost reduction, product differentiation, and environmental reputation. Research Methodology: A qualitative descriptive approach was used. Data were obtained from one key informant, the MSME owner-manager, through observation, a semi-structured interview, documentation, and literature review. Data validity was supported through source and method triangulation and member checking. Results: Green business adoption remained limited because financial constraints, low environmental literacy, limited technical capability, technological readiness, and weak institutional support interacted to restrict investment, technology use, and the integration of environmental practices into daily operations. Nevertheless, water and energy efficiency, wastewater management, equipment maintenance, hygienic production, and sustainable packaging may strengthen cost efficiency and product differentiation. Conclusion: In the resource-intensive crystal ice industry, green business functions as a strategic capability that helps MSMEs balance economic performance, environmental responsibility, and operational continuity while improving efficiency, product quality, and market positioning. Limitations: Because the study involved one MSME and one key informant, the findings are not intended for statistical generalization. However, they may provide transferable insights for MSMEs with similar resource limitations and operational challenges. Contribution: This study extends RBV and NRBV by showing how environmental knowledge, operational routines, and resource-efficiency practices can become competitive capabilities in resource-constrained MSMEs.
