Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi  Lepidoptera dan parasitoid bahwa berasosiasi pada C. odorata . Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Hama dan Penyakit Fakultas Pertanian UNS dan di lapangan lokasi penanaman di Banyudono, Kabupaten Boyolali, Jawa Tengah. Pengamatan dilakukan dari hasil semaian bibit tanaman Kenanga.  Lepidopteran (larvae, pupae, dewasa) dan parasitoids yang diambil dan  diidentifikasi   di  laboratorium.   Larva  dan  pupa  yang  terjangkit   oleh  parasitoid  atau  pathogen dipisahkan   dan  dipelihara   untuk   menunggu   parasitoid   memuncul.   Koleksi   dari  Lepidopteras   dan parasitoids   diidentifikasi   dengan   membandingkan   gambar   diterminasi.   Identifikasi   dilakukan   pada beberapa  jenis yang ditemukan.  Pada penelitian  ini ditemukan  delapan jenis dari Lepidopteras  dan dua parasitoids.  Delapan  jenis dari Lepidopteras  terdiri dari jenis dari Lymantridae  keluarga,  Nymphalidae, Papilionidae,   Satyridae,  Psychidae,  dan  Saturniidae  (Cricula  trifenestrata     dan  Atlas  Attacus).  Dua parasitoid adalah Apanteles  sp. dan Pteromalus  sp.)

Abstract

Nilaparvata lugens Stal.is one of plant pest which damages rice field. The waste of tobacco contains nicotine which can use as botanical insecticide. This research was aimed to find out the effectiveness of tobacco waste in controlling brown planthopper and its effect then predator (Oxyopes javanus). The methode of this research applies Completed Randomized Design experiment. In this research, used the kind of tobacco waste and various concentration with triple repeating. The variables of this research were mortality and death period of brown  planthopper, mortality and eating capability of O.javanusviewed from direct and indirect application. The concentration 12,5% of tobacco roots extract cause mortality of brown planthopper reaches 93%. Furthermore, the concentration 12,5% of tobacco root extracts made the death period of brown planthopper faster than the other concentrations. Direct application of tobacco waste extracts did not cause of O.javanus. Indirect application of tobacco waste extract did not cause of death toward O.javanus, but caused eating capability of O.javanus. Extract from tobacco bark with concentration 3,125% dan 1,56% had the power repellent which was shown by O.javanus only eat 2,33 brown planthoppers per week.

Abstract

Parental assistance often influences the role of children to maintain good habits. Assistance that is not optimal allows children to freely do bad things to themselves and others. This study aims to determine how parents can assist their children in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The method for data collection is interviews. The research sample consisted of parents of students at SD Islam Terpadu Taqiyya Rosyida Surakarta. In selecting the subject, the researcher took 3-5 respondents who were taken randomly. The results of the study identified that there is a lack of parents who do not pay much attention to their children's learning assistance by leaving it to their grandparents, uncle or aunt, or to their wives only. How to accompany learning with the method of games, storytelling, and assignments as well as supervision while learning.

Abstract

Karanganom (ICKK) Bakti Negeri adalah keterbatasan ekonomi yang berakibat ketidakmampuan mencukupi kebutuhan pangan bergizi untuk keluarganya. Adanya pandemic Covid 19 lebih memperburuk kondisi keluarga disabilitas yang berasal dari keluarga prasejahtera. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan di ICKK Bakti Negeri Kecamatan Karanganom. Tujuan pengabdian adalah (1) melatih ketrampilan anak disabilitas dalam budidaya lele dalam ember (budikdamber), (2) memenuhi kebutuhan pangan keluarga disabilitas. Tujuan tersebut dicapai dengan melakukan pelatihan dan pemberian bantuan perlengkapan budikdamber. Pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktik budidaya, dan monitoring. Kegiatan dilakukan secara tatap muka dari rumah ke rumah penerima bantuan.

Abstract

Scandium is classified as a rare earth element. Its existences are geochemically in small amounts as associate minerals. Consequently, scandium production is minimally from processing residues of major minerals. Indonesia has large bauxite deposits, and it is processed into alumina, producing bauxite residue as a by-product. The bauxite residue contains rare earth metals, including scandium. In this study, various ways of extracting scandium from bauxite residue slag were carried out. The bauxite residue beneficiation process was done through a smelting reduction process followed by magnetic separation. Scandium extractions were carried out from the bauxite residue slag through a leaching process with concentrated sulfuric, sulfation, alkali fusion, and a 2-stage acid leaching. The best percentage of scandium extracted was obtained at 88.40%, using the 2-stage acid leaching at the acid concentration of 500 g/kg, the temperature of 90oC, and the leaching time at 3 hours for each leaching stage. In addition, the best neodymium extracted achieved  76,97%, using the alkali fusion, fused in NaOH at 700oC for 3 hours.

Abstract

Brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens Stí¥l) population from Klaten and Yogyakarta may develop into new biotype, but research on the genetic aspect of these populations is limited.  Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD)-PCR technique was used to identify the genetic similarity of brown planthopper population from Klaten and Yogyakarta compared to the population of nearby region. Brown planthopper were collected from paddy field in Klaten, Yogyakarta, Sukoharjo, Boyolali, Karanganyar, Sragen, and Ngawi. Five random primers, namely OPB 01, OPB 07, OPC 04, OPC 08, and OPN 15 were used to amplify the brown planthopper. The present study revealed that five random primers produced DNA band patterns clearly and comparable. However, no primer produced DNA band that could differentiate the brown planthopper population from Klaten and Yogyakarta compare to the population from nearby region. Based on dendrogram, the population from Klaten and Yogyakarta showed a genetic similarity to the nearby population from Sukoharjo, Boyolali and Sragen, except from Karanganyar and Ngawi. Intra-population genetic studies of brown planthopper from Klaten and Yogyakarta may be needed to reveal more genetic characters.

Abstract

Pollination is important in cashew production, thus it is important to understand the factor determining the presence of pollination in cashew habitat. The research was carried out by field surveys in cashew farms to record the insects that exhibited nectar and pollen foraging activities on wild and cashew flowers. This study recorded the similarity between flower-insect visitors on wild plants and cashews, namely families of Apidae, Halictidae, Pieridae, and Andrenidae. Apidae were the most important flower visitors, but the honey bee, Apis sp. as an important pollinator, did not show the highest abundance. Wild flowering plants in cashew fields have the potential to play a role in the conservation of cashew pollinators.

Abstract

Kesehatan adalah hak asasi manusia dan juga merupakan investasi untuk keberhasilan pembangunan bangsa. Salah satu bentuk program pelayanan kesehatan adalah menurunkan AKI dan AKB yang tertuang dalam SDGs. Kasus kematian ibu hamil masih tinggi dan terkait pula dengan penatalaksanaan persalinannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan gambaran pemilihan metode persalinan pada kasus obstetri di RSUD dr. Haryoto. Penelitian ini menunjukkan terjadi penurunan kunjungan kasus obstetri pada tahun 2019 hingga 2021 dan kembali meningkat pada tahun 2022. Hal ini disebabkan kebijakan pelayanan kesehatan selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Persentase tatalaksana persalinan tertinggi selama periode tahun 2019 hingga 2022 adalah penatalaksanaan operatif sectio caesarea (42,21%). Hal ini menunjukkan tingginya kasus obstetri dengan penyulit yang diterima oleh RSUD dr. Haryoto.

Abstract

Bauxite residue, a solid waste discharged during alumina extraction, is a hazardous material. Its disposal leads to a serious environmental issue although it contains valuable matter such as titanium, silica, rare earth elements, and high iron content (20-60%). This work aims to improve the recovery of iron content within the bauxite residue using three methods, namely direct magnetic separation, roasting followed by magnetic separation, and reduction followed by magnetic separation. Coal as a reductant and Na2CO3 and Na2SO3 as fluxes were used in the reduction process. The result of the study reveals that the direct magnetic separation produces iron concentrate with the Fe content of 53.69% and a recovery of 26.72%, while the roasting process at 900˚C and magnetic separation produces a concentrate of 54.57% Fe with a recovery of 37.33%. The best method was by reduction and magnetic separation process using 4% of Na2CO3  producing iron concentrates with a content of 63.53% Fe and recovery of 74.73%.
