Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of the Taqdimul Qisshoh method to increase maharah kalam at the AWKIBA institution, the purpose of this study is to describe how the implementation of the Taqdimul Qisshoh method to increase maharah kalam at the AWKIBA institution. This research is a descriptive qualitative and quantitative research. The subject of this study is the Taqdimul Qishoh method which was developed in an institution to train Arabic fluency and improve students' maharah kalam. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation, evaluation and also questionnaires. Meanwhile, data analysis follows the analysis process, namely; compilation of data, submission of data and verification or conclusions. And as for the object of this research, the students at the Al-Wafiyah Kitab and Arabic Language Institute (AWKIBA) Islamic boarding school Nrul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo. Based on the results of qualitative and quantitative research as follows: 1) the learning process using the Taqdimul Qisshoh method is more effective and has a great influence on students where they can improve speaking skills and develop thinking and imagination skills. 2) the results of the evaluation of 20 students were declared complete 100% in their mastery in storytelling. 3) based on the results of a questionnaire on 20 student responses, namely 95%, 90%, 95%, 100%, 95% and 90% stated "agree" with the implementation of the Taqdimul qishhoh method in improving Maharah Kalam. And the results of this study indicate that the application of the taqdimul qisshoh method at the AWKIBA institution is able to increase the Maharah Kalam of students.

Abstract

This study aims to Islamic religious education in the digital era faces significant challenges due to the rapid development of technology, particularly in ensuring that the content aligns with true Islamic teachings. This study aims to explore the role of digital ethics in raising religious awareness online, particularly in the context of religious education. Using a qualitative approach, the study involved interviews with educators and principals and observations of technology use in Islamic schools and madrasas in Indonesia. Key findings indicate that while technology offers significant opportunities for increasing access to religious learning, oversight of content quality and educators' skills in managing technology remain challenges. Most students have not fully implemented Islamic ethics in their use of social media and digital platforms, while available content often does not align with religious principles. This research contributes to identifying the importance of strengthening an Islamic-based digital curriculum and improving training for educators in managing technology to effectively support religious education.

Abstract

Arabic in Indonesia is taught because of its relationship with Islamic teachings, but the ability to speak this language is often not optimal. Self Directed Learning which gives students the freedom to manage their learning process is considered a potential method to improve speaking skills. This study aims to explore the Self Directed Learning method in increasing students' confidence in speaking Arabic at the Foreign Language Development Institute of PP. Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo. This research uses a qualitative approach with case studies, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings of the study show that the two most significant processes of Self Directed Learning in increasing confidence in speaking are presentation of learning outcomes and monitoring of learning outcomes. This study suggests that Self Directed Learning can be an effective method in building students' confidence, especially in actively speaking Arabic.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration of the Arabic language environment with operant conditioning strategies in improving students' speaking skills (maharah kalam). The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design carried out at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Jadid class XI Language Program. Data were collected through participatory observations, interviews with students and teachers, and documentation related to students' speaking activities in Arabic. The results of the study showed that the application of positive and negative reinforcement in the language environment that supported significantly increased the maharah of students' kalam, as well as corrected errors in the use of grammar. In addition, student involvement in a holistic learning environment also supports the development of students' speaking skills because this holistic learning not only includes language theory, but also pays attention to cultural aspects and contexts related to language skills.

Abstract

The limited ability of students to use Arabic vocabulary communicatively remains a persistent challenge in Arabic language education, particularly within religious-based educational institutions. This study aims to critically examine the implementation of the Communicative Language Teaching approach in enhancing students’ mastery of mufradat (vocabulary) and their communicative competence within the Islamic Studies Program at MAN 1 Probolinggo. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews and document analysis involving teachers, mentors and students. The findings indicate that the integration of Communicative Language Teaching with educational games, daily Arabic language immersion and context-based learning strategies significantly contributes to improved vocabulary acquisition, increased speaking confidence, and enhanced linguistic accuracy in authentic communicative contexts. Moreover, the boarding school environment which facilitates sustained and active language practice emerged as a critical factor in the internalization of the target language. These findings underscore the potential of the Communicative Language Teaching approach as an innovative and transformative pedagogical model that effectively integrates language acquisition, religious values and an engaging learning atmosphere. As a result, students develop into active, confident, and morally grounded communicators in Arabic.

Abstract

Mythomanic behavior among adolescents is a serious issue in the educational world because it is often perceived as being overcome solely through rewards and punishments. This research aims to understand how kindness-based pedagogy can be used to reduce mythomanic behavior in adolescents, particularly at Miftahul Ulum Islamic High School, a school located in a rural area with a strong religious background. This study employed a qualitative method with a case study design, utilizing data sources that included students, teachers, and school documents. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation. Analysis is carried out through reduction, grouping, and narrative interpretation. The results show that five kindness strategies, such as empathetic listening, loving correction, exemplary kindness, peer support through kindness circles, and reflective practice with gratitude and kindness journals, are effective in creating a safe emotional atmosphere, fostering lies, and reducing students' propensity to lie. This research contributes to the development of humanist pedagogical literature by providing a more empathetic, relevant, and sustainable approach compared to traditional models.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of managing the madrasah vision in realizing superior educational quality in Islamic Junior High Schools (MTs), including participatory vision formulation, socialization and internalization strategies, implementation in learning, programs, and madrasah culture, as well as evaluation and efforts to strengthen the implementation of the vision. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design, collecting data through in-depth interviews with the madrasah principal, teachers, and students, as well as field observations of learning activities and madrasah culture, then analyzed interactively using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study indicate that the madrasah vision is formulated in a participatory manner so as to foster a sense of ownership and shared commitment; socialization and internalization are carried out continuously through formal forums, leadership role models, habits, and visual media so that the vision is realized in behavior and work culture; implementation of the vision is reflected in learning that integrates Islamic values, programs, and madrasah culture that supports character building and student achievement; evaluation is carried out systematically through academic supervision, evaluation meetings, and teacher performance assessments despite facing challenges such as differences in teacher understanding, limited facilities, and administrative burdens. The implications of the research show that strategic and sustainable vision management plays an important role in improving the quality of Islamic education and can be a practical reference for madrasas in developing educational management that is oriented towards academic excellence while strengthening Islamic values.
