Abstract

The absence of visual identity and administrative information centers at the neighborhood (RT) level often hampers regional coordination and public services for both residents and visitors. Community Service activities through the Student Community Service (KKN) of Dehasen University Bengkulu in RT 03, Pintu Batu Village, aim to strengthen regional administrative governance through the provision of physical information facilities. The implementation method included participatory observation, boundary mapping, and coordination with local neighborhood officials. The main focus of this program was the construction and installation of regional boundary signs to clarify physical boundaries between areas, as well as information boards containing professional data of RT 03 and RW 01 officials. The results of the activity showed that the installation of these facilities successfully created a clearer territorial identity, facilitated social-administrative navigation, and enhanced the professionalism of information services at the village level. This program is expected to serve as a model for more organized and informative environmental administration in other regions.

Abstract

Volleyball learning in physical education is not limited to technical mastery; it can also provide a meaningful context for developing coordination, balance, movement accuracy, reaction speed, and object control. This study aimed to describe how volleyball learning was implemented to support the development of secondary school students’ motor skills and to identify instructional conditions that facilitated or constrained that process. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed during the first semester of 2023 at a junior secondary school in Bengkulu City, Indonesia. Participants were 24 eighth-grade students and two physical education teachers selected purposively. Data were collected through observations of six lessons, semi-structured interviews, field notes, and lesson-document analysis. Thematic analysis generated five themes: progression from fundamental movements to game situations, meaningful repetition for coordination development, specific teacher feedback, peer interaction that increased movement confidence, and constraints related to differences in initial ability, limited facilities, and practice time. The findings indicate that progressive tasks, small-group organization, and modified games increased students’ opportunities to contact the ball and supported better movement quality. The study suggests that teachers should adapt task difficulty, practice frequency, and feedback to student readiness so that volleyball lessons function as both motor-skill development contexts and inclusive learning experiences.

Abstract

The socialization of traditional games plays a crucial role in children's development. These games not only provide a means of entertainment, but also play an integral role in the development of various aspects of a child's well-being. Through direct interaction, traditional games help children develop social skills such as communication, cooperation and understanding of shared rules. In addition, these games also support the development of gross and fine motor skills through the physical movements involved. Aspects of creativity and imagination are also enhanced, while cultural values and traditional heritage are applied and valued. Traditional games provide a platform for cognitive learning, involving problem solving and improved concentration. The child's social and emotional experience is enriched through the acceptance of victory and failure with sportsmanship. In addition, these games have a positive impact on children's mental and physical health by providing enjoyable physical activity and reducing stress. In the context of globalization and modern lifestyle changes, the preservation and promotion of traditional games is becoming increasingly important as an effort to ensure children remain connected to their cultural heritage. Therefore, initiatives to introduce children to traditional games not only provide entertainment, but also form a solid foundation for their holistic growth and development.
