Abstract

Abstract

The study employs an explanatory quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) on data collected from 211 retail financing customers across five Islamic Commercial Banks operating in Greater Bandung: Bank BSI, Bank BSN, Bank Muamalat, Bank BJB Syariah, and Bank BTPN Syariah. Respondents were selected through purposive sampling based on criteria including active financing status, minimum 12-month customer tenure, and residence within the Greater Bandung area. The findings reveal three key results. First, Islamic financial literacy has a direct positive and significant effect on installment payment behavior (t = 3.191, p = 0.001), confirming that customers with stronger understanding of contract structures, margin calculations, and debt management demonstrate better payment discipline. Second, customer ethics does not directly influence installment payment behavior (t = 1.418, p = 0.156), suggesting that moral values alone are insufficient to ensure payment compliance without behavioral transformation. Third, customer financial behavior fully mediates the relationship between customer ethics and installment payment behavior (t = 3.276, p = 0.001), while it does not mediate the literacy–payment behavior relationship (t = 1.866, p = 0.062). The structural model explains 79.4% of the variance in installment payment behavior (R² = 0.794) and 76.2% of customer financial behavior variance (R² = 0.762. The study is limited to the Greater Bandung retail financing context and cross-sectional self-report data; future research should extend to other regions and financing segments using longitudinal designs.

Abstract

The stability of Islamic banking is a strategic issue considering its role in supporting the national financial system while maintaining compliance with Sharia principles. This article analyzed the effect of ownership structure on the stability of Sharia Commercial Banks (Bank Umum Syariah / BUS) in Indonesia based on the perspectives of agency theory and stakeholder theory. The ownership structures examined included ownership concentration, government ownership, foreign institutional ownership, and domestic institutional ownership, with the capital structure proxied by the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER) as a control variable. Bank stability was measured using the Z-score indicator. This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis using annual data from Sharia Commercial Banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan / OJK) during the 2015–2024 period. The census sampling technique resulted in 92 observations from 12 banks. The random-effects model regression results showed that government ownership and domestic institutional ownership had positive and significant effects on BUS stability, while ownership concentration, foreign institutional ownership, and DER had no significant effects. Domestic institutional ownership was identified as the most dominant variable influencing bank stability. These findings indicated that the stability of Islamic banking in Indonesia was more strongly determined by the effectiveness of internal oversight, corporate governance practices, and the long-term orientation of domestic investors rather than by foreign ownership or the degree of ownership concentration.

Abstract

The healthcare service marketing unit at PT XYZ previously relied on Google Forms and spreadsheets to manage marketing performance data, resulting in scattered information, duplicate records, and difficulties in tracking prospect development and monitoring performance in real time. This community service activity aimed to implement a web-based performance monitoring system that integrates marketing activities, prospect information, performance targets, and incentive management into a single platform. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, including requirements communication, planning, system design, development, and deployment. System design employed Flowcharts, Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), while system validation was conducted through Black-box Testing and structured user interviews. The implementation was accompanied by technology transfer through user training and system assistance to support effective adoption in daily operational activities. The results showed that the system transformed the partner's data management process from manual recording into an integrated web-based system, reducing duplicate data, accelerating data recap, facilitating prospect tracking, and enabling real-time performance monitoring through a dashboard. The successful implementation improved the efficiency of marketing performance monitoring and supported more time, data-driven decision-making within the healthcare service marketing unit at PT XYZ.

Abstract

his Action Research was conducted in a partner company, an SME operating in the business-to-business (B2B) industrial supply sector, where operational coordination, decision-making, and daily problem-solving remained highly dependent on the owner. This dependency constrained effective delegation and limited the owner's ability to focus on strategic responsibilities. This study aimed to develop Human Resource Management (HRM) practices to support structured delegation while examining their initial contribution to operational performance. A qualitative Action Research approach was employed through four stages: constructing, planning action, taking action, and evaluating action. The intervention focused on developing job analysis, job design, and a structured delegation mechanism. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and company operational records. The findings indicate that the intervention established clearer work structures, strengthened role clarity, expanded delegated operational responsibilities, and reduced the owner's direct involvement in routine operations. Although the implementation period was insufficient to demonstrate substantial improvements across all operational performance indicators, early improvements were observed in delegation capability and operational responsiveness. These findings suggest that developing HRM practices provides the organizational foundation for effective delegation, enabling SME owners to shift their attention from daily operations to strategic decision-making and long-term business development.
