Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain students written communication skills profile through PBL model. The research used pretest and posttest equivalent method. The population were students of VII grade in three private junior high school in Bandar Lampung that were selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were quantitative that were obtained from pretest, posttest, and N-gain. Data were analysed statistic with SPSS 17. The results were student on experiment class had an average of 16,82 with a standard deviation of ± 2.37 toward control class had an average of 11,67 with a standard deviation of ± 1.68. The conclusion of this study was PBL model affected the students learning outcomes. Tujuan penelitian ini  mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode pretest and posttest equivalen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di tiga SMP swasta di Bandar Lampung. Pemilihan sampelnya berupa purposive sampling. Data yang dijaring berupa data kuantitatif berupa data pretes, postes, dan N-gain. Teknik Pengumpulan data melalui tes diawal dan akhir pembelajaran. Data dianalisis secara statistic melalui SPSS 17. Hasil dalam penelitian ini berupa N-gain penguasaan materi siswa kelas eksperimen memiliki rata-rata 16,82  dengan standar deviasi  ± 2,37 berbeda signifikan terhadap  kelas kontrol memiliki rata-rata 11,69 dengan standar deviasi ± 1,68. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah model PBL berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penguasaan materi siswa. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, kemampuan komunikasi, PBL

Abstract

This study aims were to determine the significance, closeness, direction, and contribution of knowledge about environmental change with the attitudes of students in 3R waste management in high school. The design used in this study was an ex post facto design. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. The research data were obtained from tests and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using simple linear regression analysis. Hypothesis test results indicate that there was a significant relationship between knowledge about environmental change with attitudes in waste management 3R method, there was a closeness of the relationship with the medium category, and positive relationship between the two variables, thus knowledge of environmental change give low contributes to attitudes in 3R waste management.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui signifikansi, keeratan, arah, dan kontribusi dari pengetahuan tentang perubahan lingkungan dengan sikap peserta didik dalam pengelolaan sampah 3R di SMA. Desain yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah desain ex post facto. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh menggunakan diperoleh menggunakan tes dan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara  pengetahuan tentang perubahan lingkungan dengan sikap dalam pengelolaan sampah metode 3R, terdapat keeratan hubungan dengan kategori sedang, selanjutnya adanya hubungan yang positif antara kedua variabel, dengan demikian pengetahuan tentang perubahan lingkungan memberikan kontribusi yang rendah terhadap sikap dalam pengelolaan sampah 3R.                                                                                 Kata kunci: hubungan, metode 3R , pengelolaan sampah, pengetahuan, sikap

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of discovery learning on activities and cognitive learning outcomes students of class VIII SMPN 1 Lawang Kidul in "Human Blood Circulation System" materials. The study sample were 32 students of class VIII that were selected by cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument used a sheet of pretest-posttest and observation sheet of student activities. The design used was nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Data on activities were analyzed descriptively, while pretest-posttest and n-Gain values were analyzed by Independent Sample t-test. The results of the study showed that the average percentage activity was 74.2 with good criteria with N-Gain average that was 0.66 with medium criteria. Thus the application of the discovery learning model has a significant effect on the activities and cognitive learning outcomes of students in "Human Blood Circulation” materials.  Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh discovery learning terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas VIII semester ganjil SMP Negeri 1 Lawang Kidul pada materi “Sistem Peredaran Darah Manusia”. Sampel penelitian adalah 32 peserta didik kelas VIII dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar pretes-postes dan lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik. Desain yang digunakan yaitu nonequivalent pretes-postes control group design. Data aktivitas dianalisis secara deskriptif, sedangkan nilai pretes-postes dan n-Gain dianalisis dengan uji Independent Sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase rata-rata aktivitas keseluruhan sebesar 74,2 termasuk kriteria baik dengan rata-rata n-Gain sebesar 0,66 termasuk kriteria sedang. Dengan demikian penerapan model discovery learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi “Sistem Pencernaan Manusia”.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, discovery learning, hasil belajar, sistem peredaran darah manusia

Abstract

This study aims were to determine the effect of project based learning toward self-efficacy and the significant effect of the project based learning toward creative thinking skills. The population of study were all students of grade VII of SMP Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung. The samples of study were students of grade VII.5 and VII.2 that were selected by cluster random sampling technique. The design of study was the pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Data of self-efficacy and creative product were obtained by using the scale of self-efficacy and creative product assessment rubric which were analyzed descriptively while the data of creative thinking skills were obtained by using pretest and posttest scores were analyzed by the Independent Sample t-test at a significant level of 5%. The results showed that the project based learning had an effect toward self-efficacy with high criteria. The project based learning has a significant effect toward creative thinking skills and creative products with creative criteria.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh project based learning terhadap self-efficacy dan signifikasi pengaruh project based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VII.5 dan VII.2 yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Desain penelitian adalah pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Data self-efficacy dan produk kreatif diperoleh menggunakan skala self-efficacy dan rubrik penilaian produk kreatif yang dianalisis secara deskriptif sedangkan data kemampuan berpikir kreatif diperoleh menggunakan nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis dengan uji Independent Sample t-tes pada taraf signifikasi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa project based learning berpengaruh terhadap self-efficacy dengan kriteria tinggi. Project based learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan produk kreatif dengan kriteria kreatif. Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kreatif, project based learning, self-efficacy

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of science generic skill based practice methods on student learning outcomes of class VIII even semester of SMP Negeri 19 Bandar Lampung on the material of human excretion system. The design used in this study is nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study were students of class VIII A and VIII I that consist of 57 people that were selected by cluster random sampling techniques. The average data of the pretest, posttest and N-gain values as a result of the analysis with the Independent Sample T-test was 5% confidence level. Based on data obtained, the average N-gain of students in the experimental class was than students from control class. The results showed that there was an influence of the use of science generic skill based practice methods on student learning outcomes on human excretion system topic. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh metode praktikum berbasis keterampilan generik sains terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 19 Bandar Lampung pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII A dan VIII I  berjumlah 57 orang yang dipiih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Data rata-rata nilai pretest, posttest dan N-gain sebagai hasil analisis dengan uji Independent Sampel T-test pada taraf kepercayaan 5%. Berdasarkan data yang didapatkan rata-rata N-gain yang diperoleh peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingan dengan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari penggunaan metode praktikum berbasis keterampilan generik sains terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, keterampilan generik sains, metode praktikum

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning Teams Games Tournament (TGT) in improving cognitive learning outcomes for VIII grade students on concept of respiratory system material. The design of this study was pretest -posttest control group. The sample in this study are 61 students of grades VIII3 and VIII5 of SMP Kartika  II-2 Bandar Lampung, were determined  through random sampling techniques. The data result were quantitative from pretest and posttest scores which consisted of 20 multiple choice questions. Based on the data obtained, the average N-gain of students in the experimental class was higher than students from control class. The Independent Sample t-test was used to analyzed the N-gain values to find out the improvement of students cognitive learning outcomes. The result showed that Teams Games Tournament (TGT) was effective in improving cognitive learning outcomes of 70% students on human respiratory system topic.Keywords: respiratory system, learning outcomes, teams games tournamentPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas VIII pada materi sistem pernafasan. Berdasarkan data yang didapatkan, rata-rata N-gain yang diperoleh peserta didik kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik, maka dilakukan uji statistik terhadap nilai N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Teams Games Tournament (TGT) efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif 70% peserta didik pada materi sistem pernafasan.Kata Kunci: hasil belajar, sistem pernafasan, teams games tournament

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of use of wet preservation Phylum of Molluscs and Echinoderms with Inquiry Learning on student learning outcomes. The method of this study was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The research samples were students of class X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 2 which were to 56 students that were selected by the Total Sampling technique. The type of data used were quantitative data and qualitative data. The instrument used in this study was in the form of multiple-choice questions, with the independent sample t-test SPSS 17.0 data processing technique. The results showed that the use of wet preservation Phylum of Molluscs and Echinoderms differed significantly on student learning outcomes in the experimental class with the control class. The average N-gain in the experimental class was 0.58, while the control class was 0.39, while the results of student responses to wet preservation Phylum of Molluscs and Echinoderms with Inquiry Learning have a good (78,57%) and very good (84,78%).

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan kepada guru IPA SMP di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan untuk menyusun instrumen asessmen non kognitif siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA SMP di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian adalah melalui ceramah, diskusi, dan proyek. Pada kegiatan ceramah pemateri meyampaikan materi tentang teknik penambangan instrumen asesmen sesuai dengan prosedur yang baku dilanjutkan dengan diskusi. Setelah diskusi, peserta pelatihan megerjakan tugas proyek berupa menyusun instrumen tes mata pelajaran, menganalisis secara kualitatif, mengujicobakannya. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan, diperoleh simpulan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun instrumen asessmen diagnostik non-kognitif. Hal ini didasarkan pada peningkatan pemahaman guru-guru tentang perancangan pembuatan instrumen asessmen yang telah dilaksanakan oleh guru-guru IPA SMP di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi awal diketahui bahwa pemahaman awal guru-guru tergolong rendah. Pada akhir pelatihan, pemahaman dan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan dan membuat instrumen aseessmen yang mengukur dimensi non kognitif siswa guru-guru lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan sebelum mengikuti pelatihan. Sebanyak 80% guru mampu membuat instrumen penilaian yang mengukur dimensi non kognitif siswa. Peningkatan pemahaman guru-guru perancangan pembuatan instrumen penilaian yang mengukur dimensi non kognitif siswa tergolong baik. Kata Kunci: asesmen diagnostik; dimensi non kognitif; kurikulum merdeka AbstractThe aim of this community service is to provide training to junior high school science teachers in South Lampung Regency to develop non-cognitive assessment instruments for students in junior high school science learning in South Lampung Regency. The method of implementing service activities is through lectures, discussions and projects. In the lecture activity the speaker delivered material about mining techniques for assessment instruments in accordance with standard procedures followed by discussion. After the discussion, the training participants carried out project assignments in the form of compiling subject test instruments, analyzing them qualitatively, testing them. Based on the results of the activity, it was concluded that this training activity was effective in improving teachers' abilities in creating Android application-based learning media. This is based on increasing teachers' understanding of the design of creating diagnostic assessment instrument for non-cognitive aspects  for junior high school science teachers in South Lampung Regency. Based on the results of the initial evaluation, it is known that the teachers' initial understanding was relatively low. At the end of the training, teachers' understanding and ability to utilize and create assessment instruments that measure the non-cognitive dimensions of student teachers is higher than before attending the training. As many as 80% of teachers were able to create assessment instruments that measured students' non-cognitive dimensions. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using e-booklet media on the critical thinking skills of class VII students of SMP N 1 Way Tenong on environmental pollution. This research is an experimental research using design through pretest posttest quasi nonequivalent control group design experiment. The type of data used is quantitative and qualitative. The population in this study were students of class VII SMP N 1 Way Tenong and 2 classes were taken randomly using a simple random sampling technique. VII D class as the experimental class and VII E class as the control class. Data was collected through test instruments and questionnaires. The test instrument consists of 20 multiple choice questions which are made using four aspects of critical thinking indicators, namely: giving simple explanations, making further explanations, setting strategies, techniques, and concluding. The questionnaire instrument contains questions related to student responses learn using e-booklets. During learning process was performed using an independent sample t-test statistical test. The results of data analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, and the experimental class obtained an average n-gain result of 0.4184 in the medium category, while the control class obtained an average n-gain score of 0.2789 in the low category. The percentage of student response questionnaires obtained an average percentage of 70% in the well received category. This can be said that there is a significant influence of the use of e-booklet media on student’s critical thinking skills on environmental pollution material

Abstract

Remedial teaching merupakan keharusan Setiap siswa yang belum memenuhi Kriteria Ketentusan Minimal (KKM). Sementara itu setiap siswa umumnya memiliki kelemahan yang berbeda-beda pada materi yang belum tuntas. Guru memiliki keterbasatan ruang dan waktu dalam pelaksanakan kegiatan remedial teaching bagi peserta didik dengan materi yang berbeda-beda. Untuk itu harus memanfaatkan media pembelajaran. Namun kemampuan guru-guru biologi  di SMA  dalam membuat media video turorial belum optimal dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas khsusnya dalam melaksanakan kegiatan remedial teaching. Hal tersebut menjadi persoalan yang harus diselesaikan oleh guru, sekolah dan juga pemerintah. Perguruan Tinggi pencetak tenaga pendidik juga harus ikut memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan ini melalui kegiatan pelatihan pengembangan media video tutorial dan implementasinya dalam remedial teaching bagi guru-guru biologi  SMA  di Kota Bandar Lampung untuk meningkkatkan mutu dan hasil belajar siswa. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung untuk membuat produk akhir berupa media video tutorial. Setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini guru-guru mengungkapkan bahwa pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat dan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan guru-guru dalam membuat media video tutorial dan implementasinya dalam pembelajaran remedial teaching. Semua guru mampu membuat dan menyelesaikan produk berupa media video tutorial dengan baik.
