Abstract

We want to explain about the lifestyle philosophy of "hiduik mamakai" to the gambir farming community in Minangkabau. The philosophy of hiduik mamakai is the basis for the Minangkabau community of gambir farmers towards the occurrence of early marriage. The philosophy of hiduik mamakai is a view of life regarding the existence of matter used for the pleasure of life. This philosophy also developed as a basis for the Minangkabau community of gambir farmers in carrying out social activities, one of which is marriage. The philosophy of hiduik mamakai has a correlationality to the phenomenon of early marriage in the Minangkabau community of gambir farmers. Some cases of early marriage in gambir farming communities are initiated by the idea that stability can be obtained through marriage even though they are not at the right age or mentality. This is because there is a belief that after marriage there will be a "safe realm" for women to be able to live a lifestyle of "hiduik mamakai". The results of this research indicate that there is a correlational relationship between early marriage and the philosophy of "hiduik mamakai." The philosophy of "hiduik mamakai" is one of the influencing factors, although it is not the sole cause of the phenomenon of early marriage. The causal relationship between these two domains is correlational, not causal. There is no guarantee that the disappearance of the "hiduik mamakai" philosophy will reduce the rate of early marriages. What occurs is that the concept of "hiduik mamakai" philosophy affects the phenomenon of early marriage in a mutually correlating relationship. While it is not the only factor, the philosophy of "hiduik mamakai" is an integral part of the lifestyle of the Minangkabau Gambir farming community. This is because the income of the Gambir farming community is enough to put the economic system on a stable life.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the Sipakainge livestock group in utilizing corn cob waste, which has potential as animal feed. The method employed in this program was the society participatory approach, which included stages of counseling, training, and mentoring in the application of complete feed wafers for cattle. The evaluation instruments consisted of pre-tests and post-tests administered via Google Forms, and the results were analyzed quantitatively using the gain score (N-Gain) method. The outcomes of this program showed that farmers were able to optimize corn cob waste as a complete feed wafer, combined with Azolla pinnata as a protein source. The results indicated an increase in partners’ knowledge and skills, with two key assessment components: 85% for knowledge of complete feed wafer production and 90% for practical production skills. The implication of this activity is that the partner group now possesses a chopper and pressing machine, enabling them to independently produce complete feed wafers.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of innovation and entrepreneurial orientation in improving the competitiveness and marketing performance of MSMEs in the era of global competition. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of innovation strategy and entrepreneurial orientation on the competitive advantage and marketing performance of MSMEs in Pangkep Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory method to explain the causal relationship between variables. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire from 92 MSME owner respondents selected using a non-probability sampling technique, namely accidental/convenience sampling. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) in SmartPLS. The results showed that innovation strategy significantly influenced competitive advantage (t = 2.009; p = 0.045), while entrepreneurial orientation significantly influenced marketing performance (t = 2.793; p = 0.005), and competitive advantage significantly influenced marketing performance (t = 5.752; p = 0.000). Furthermore, competitive advantage served as a mediating variable, strengthening the influence of innovation strategy (t = 2.693; p = 0.007) and entrepreneurial orientation on marketing performance (t = 2.352; p = 0.019). This finding confirms that competitive advantage is a key factor in improving the marketing performance of MSMEs in Pangkep Regency.
