Abstract

Abstract

Research instruments are tools used to collect research data, both qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data can be in the form images, words, and/or other objects that are non-numerical, while quantitative data is data that is or is in the form of numbers. This research was used as an assessment test to measure students' critical thinking in junior high school, specifically invertebrate material. For students, assessment instruments function as a means of evaluating their understanding of the material taught by the teacher. Therefore, teachers need to develop assessment instruments that can stimulate students to develop critical thinking skills. This research uses the RND method with the ADDIE model. Five descriptive questions will be developed, each reflecting an indicator of critical thinking skills which serves as a guide in making test instruments. The five indicators of critical thinking skills and the detailed questions that represent them. This test assessment instrument was tested on 40 individuals using validity and reliability tests, including students, prospective teachers and teachers. The research results show that this instrument can be used and is declared valid with a validity value of 81.11% and is declared valid, while for reliability it gets a score above 0.6 which is categorized as reliable and Critical thinking test assessment instruments on invertebrate material can be used by teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the environmental care attitudes of students, teachers, lecturers, and students after using QR Code-Mind Map-based textbooks on environmental topics. This study used a combined approach, namely the ADDIE development model which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, with a survey design. Data were collected through an online questionnaire involving 62 teachers (15 lecturers and 47 teachers) and 126 students (65 high school students and 61 university students) from various institutions in Pekanbaru. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive-quantitative techniques and the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the average score of environmental care attitude of lecturers was 90% with a good category, while students reached 89.5% with a good category. In addition, the criteria for the effectiveness of QR Code-Mind Map-based coursebooks in improving the Environmental Care Character of students and teachers showed 100% with the category “Very Good.” Thus, it can be concluded that this textbook is very effective in increasing awareness of environmental care and can be used as a guide and disseminated to be widely implemented by stakeholders. The QR Code-Mind Map-based textbooks on environmental topics will provide a good understanding, a good understanding will result in a good attitude towards the environment so that it can make characters us rahmatan lil alamin. Keywords: teaching book, effectiveness, qr code-mind map, environmental awareness characters

Abstract

The advancement of  Era 4.0 technology has shifted the way humans think and work which were faster, more efficient, and effective in various sectors, including  in education field. The Universitas Terbuka (UT) is one of university which has been existed for a long time and actively develop learning methods, for both online platforms and independent learning. In this context, it is important to support, develop and evaluate the distance learning system in utilizing all facilities including teaching materials, especially in terms of UT student practicum. This research aimed to increase environmental knowledge which intended to prepare people who understand and  willing to overcome environmental problems by developing a QR-Code based E-Poster. This research implemented development research (Research and Development) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluation).  The results showed that the QR Code-based E-Poster developed had a high level of validity, practicality and effectiveness in increasing environmental literacy. Most of respondents gave positive responses to the use of E-Posters, such as easy to use, good layout, accessible, effective to deliver, clear text presentation, use of QR Codes, attractive color composition, good systematics, and efficiency in conveying information. In assessing the quality of media, the aspects of readability and understanding of concepts were very important, especially in the context of E-Posters. Conceptual reasoning  as  the respondent's ability to follow and understand the thoughts or concepts conveyed in the E-Poster was a significant factor. Good text comprehension includes ease of reading and understanding the information presented in the texts on E-Poster, Additionally, good language comprehension in this media included the respondent's ability to understand and interpret the information conveyed through the language used in the E-Poster. These findings highlighted the importance aspects in the development of E-Posters as effective learning and communication instruments. Keywords: e-poster, cyber-university pioneer , validity, practicality

Abstract

In theory, educational practices throughout each school day should mitigate the impact of a 21st century pandemic. One of the most important things that needs to be instilled from the start of education is scientific literacy. In this study, an instrument to measure junior high school students' biological literacy was developed and validated. Development. This instrument reproduces the ADDIE model. This instrument is based on the 2013 Biology Science curriculum for class VII and consists of eight literary elements related to biology. Of the 20 topics discussed, there are 5 topics with a nominal dimension, 7 topics with a functional dimension, 4 topics with a structural dimension, and 4 topics with a multidimensional biological literature dimension. Logistic validity assessment was carried out on each content, construction and language of the three validators, then analyzed using the Aiken formula.
