Abstract

Interprofessional collaboration will be realized if two or more people from different professions interact to produce a shared understanding that would not have been possible if those professions worked independently. How each profession views the meaning of collaboration must be understood by both parties so that the same perception can be obtained. The application of collaboration between professions is currently limited to traditional or multiprofessional collaboration models. A high level of knowledge is needed by the nursing profession to be able to provide nursing services independently and collaborate with other health workers. This level of education and knowledge gap will hinder the effective communication process among health professionals. Continuous nursing education can be used as a strategy to eliminate the knowledge and education gaps between professions so that it will improve the effective communication process among health professionals. Collaboration is a complex process that requires special attention accompanied by high knowledge in exchanging ideas in discussing patients. Nurses who always try to improve their knowledge and skills to achieve their desired career will have an impact on their ability to exchange ideas (communicate) with other professions or collaborate with other professions. Continuous nursing education and career planning are two strategies that can increase nurses’ knowledge and skills to improve nurses' confidence in exchanging ideas with other professions.

Abstract

Background: Interprofessional communication is an important element in providing health services to patients. Failure in communication between health workers can lead to adverse events that occur in hospitals. Research Objectives: To determine the effectiveness of interprofessional communication to improve patient safety. Method & Source of data: The method used was a systematic review. Data sources obtained from the journal Ebsco, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Inclusion & exclusion criteria: Journal related to the form of interprofessional communication development, English-language journals, year of publication between 2011-2016, journal full-text pdf. Results: from four journal articles reviewed, the results show that interprofessional communication is effective to improve patient safety at the hospital. Conclusion: Interprofessional communication is effective to improve patient safety and reduce the incidence of patient safety at the hospital.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is one of the biggest health problems in the world. This disease is also the highest cause of death and morbidity in developing countries, such as Indonesia. Most nurses do not carry out treatment plans for pulmonary tuberculosis patients because there is no standard structure even though there are guidelines for nursing management of pulmonary TB patients. The purpose of this study was to determine nursing diagnoses that are often enforced by nurses in pulmonary tuberculosis patients. The study was conducted in the inpatient hospital. This study used descriptive observational and descriptive explorative approaches. The samples were the documentation of the TB patients by using nonprobability sampling, namely purposive sampling saturation. Data analysis used univariate analysis with frequency distribution. The results of the study show that the formulation of nursing diagnosis is ineffective airway clearance(52%), the writing of 1 (one) diagnosis of ineffective airway clearance into 13 different diagnostic names. The nurse wrote the diagnosis of ineffective breathing patterns into 7 forms of diagnosis. Nurses also wrote diagnosis of acute pain into 5 forms of nursing diagnosis, and hyperthermy diagnosis into 2 forms of nursing diagnosis. The research recommendation is that hospital management is expected to improve nurses' skills in writing the latest nursing diagnoses, monitoring and evaluating both qualitatively and quantitatively  in the writing of nursing diagnoses, applying the latest standards of nursing diagnoses. Nurses are expected to apply the latest nursing diagnoses in accordance with the use of NANDA.

Abstract

Semakin berkembangnya tuntutan kebutuhan masyarakat, maka kualitas dan profesionalitas  perawat dalam memberikan pelayanan keperawatan harus dipertahankan, hal ini karena jumlah dari tenaga keperawatan menempati posisi terbanyak, pada akhir tahun 2016 sudah mencapai 49% dari total tenaga yang bekerja di layanan kesehatan. Komite keperawatan merupakan bagian  struktur rumah sakit yang berfungsi dalam menjaga kualitas pelayanan keperawatan dengan melakukan kredensial. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan kredensial yang dilakukan komite keperawatan dengan model Transformational leadershipMetode artikel ini menggunakan metode literature review yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan transformational leadership dalam  upaya  pelaksanaan kredensial yang dilakukan oleh komite keperawatan, literature yang digunakan adalah jurnal yang dipublikasikan dari data base science direct dari tahun 2011 sampai dengan 2018.Hasil  literature review yang dilakukan menunjukkan transformational leadership dalam pelaksanaan kredensial oleh komite keperawatan dengan perencanaan strategis, advokasi, pengaruh, visibilitas, serta aksesibilitas dan komunikasi. Memotivasi anggota untuk mencapai sesuatu yang lebih baik merupakan inti dari model kepemimpinan ini serta dapat mengembangkan kreatifitas dan beradaptasi memenuhi tuntutan masa depan. Purpose: to determine the implementation of credentials carried out by the nursing committee with Transformational leadership model.Method  this article uses the literature review method that aims to find out the use of Transformational leadership in the effort to implement credentials carried out by the nursing committee, the literature used is a journal published from ScienceDirect database from 2011 to 2018.Results The literature review conducted shows transformational leadership in credential implementation by the nursing committee with strategic planning, advocacy, influence, visibility, and accessibility and communication. Motivating members to achieve something better is at the core of this leadership model and can develop creativity and adapt to meet future demands. Conclusion: Transformational leadership can enhance the role of the nursing committee in carrying out the credential process.Keywords: Transformational leadership, Nursing committee and credentials

Abstract

Perawat adalah salah satu tenaga kesehatan yang memiliki risiko tinggi tertular virus Covid-19, terutama pada perawat yang memiliki kontak langsung dengan pasien positif Covid-19. Tingginya risiko penularan virus, beban kerja yang tinggi, ketakutan akan menularkan kepada anggota keluarga menjadi beberapa faktor penyebab kecemasan pada perawat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat kecemasan perawat di ruang isolasi perawatan pasien positif Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Analisis penelitian menggunakan analisis deskriptif untuk mengukur tingkat kecemasan dan data karakteristik perawat di ruang isolasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 70 perawat yang bekerja di ruang isolasi dengan teknik total sampling. Kuisioner Hamilton Rating Scale Anxiety (HARS-A) digunakan untuk mengambil data tingkat kecemasan perawat. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah perawat yang bekerja di ruang isolasi mengalami kecemasan dengan kategori ringan (32,9%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar perawat di ruang isolasi perawatan pasien positif Covid-19 mengalami kecemasan ringan ecemasan pada perawat dapat diatasi dengan diadakannya program konseling atau monitoring kondisi mental perawat. Selain itu, diterapkannya sistem perekrutan perawat dengan kriteria paling sedikit beresiko untuk mengalami kecemasan dapat mengurangi permasalahan mental perawat di ruang isolasi Covid-19.

Abstract

Background: Online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the physical and psychological health of most college students in Indonesia, especially nursing students. The major psychological impacts that students experience may include increased stress levels and anxiety. Islamic spiritual mindfulness through Online Nurse application is an exercise for emotional regulation with spiritual approach that is carried out online for students to control the situation and choose to accept so that they can reduce their anxiety or stress related to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of Islamic spiritual mindfulness through Online Nurse on reducing anxiety in students undertaking online learning. Methods: This study used a pre-post test quasi-experimental design with a control group. The samples were students undertaking online learning, consisting of 40 students from Qomarul Huda Badaruddin University (UNIQHBA) as the intervention group and 40 students from North Sumatra University (USU) as the control group. Results: There was an effect of Online Nurse on decreasing anxiety levels among students with a p-value of 0.000. Conclusion: Online Nurse can be applied to decrease anxiety among students in certain triggering situations, such as COVID-19 and online learning. Islamic spiritual mindfulness is needed in reducing anxiety. Abstrak: Latar Belakang: Pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi COVID-19 berdampak signifikan terhadap kesehatan fisik dan psikis sebagian besar mahasiswa di Indonesia, khususnya pada mahasiswa keperawatan. Dampak psikologis utama yang dialami mahasiswa adalah meningkatnya tingkat stres dan kecemasan. Mindfulness Spiritual Islam (MSI) melalui Online Nurse merupakan latihan pengaturan emosi melalui aspek spiritual yang dilakukan melalui program online bagi mahasiswa untuk dapat mengendalikan keadaan dan memilih untuk menerima, sehingga dapat mengurangi kecemasan atau stres yang dialami selama menjalani pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi COVID-19. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh MSI melalui Online Nurse terhadap penurunan kecemasan pada mahasiswa yang sedang melakukan pembelajaran online. Metode: Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan pre-test post-test control group. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran online, meliputi kelompok intervensi yang terdiri yang dari 40 siswa dari Universitas Qomarul Huda Badaruddin (UNIQHBA), dan kelompok kontrol yang terdiri dari 40 siswa dari Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). Hasil: Ada pengaruh MSI melalui Online Nurse terhadap tingkat kecemasan dengan nilai p=0,000. Kesimpulan: Online nurse bisa dipakai untuk menurunkan kecemasan mahasiswa pada saat mengalami situasi tertentu yang memicu kecemasan, misalnya COVID-19 dan kuliah daring. Untuk menurunkan tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa, intervensi MSI mungkin diperlukan.
