Abstract

AbstrakMenulis Jurnal Belajar (Writing learning journal) dalam teknik konseling termasuk dalam salah satu media yang dapat membantu peserta didik meningkatkan kemandirian dalam belajarnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode ekperimental dengan rancangan true experiment pretest-posttest control group design. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diuji dengan menggunakan teknik analisis wilcoxon signed-rank non-parametric test dan wilcoxon signed-rank non-parametric test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis pertama yang berbunyi “kemandirian belajar mahasiswa setelah diberi perlakuan (posttest) dalam kelompok eksperimen, lebih tinggi daripada kemandirian belajar mahasiswa sebelum diberi perlakuan (pretest)” berhasil secara signifikan terbukti. Tidak seperti pada hipotesis yang pertama, hipotesis kedua, dan ketiga dalam penelitian ini, ternyata tidak secara signifikan terbukti. Analisis hasil yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori-teori yang dikembangkan terkait wrtiting learning journal (menulis jurnal belajar), teknik konseling Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), self regulated learning (kemandirian belajar), dan konseling lintas budaya.AbstractTHE EFFECTIVENESS OF WRITING-LEARNING JOURNAL COUNSELLING IN ENHANCING SELF-REGULATED LEARNING (THE PERSPECTIVE OF CROSS-CULTURAL COUNSELLING). Counselling by means of writing learning journal is a medium through which to help students enhance their self-regulated learning. The current research tested this idea using true experiment pretest-posttest control group design. Hypotheses in the current research were examined on the basis of wilcoxon signed-rank non-parametric test and wilcoxon signed-rank non-parametric test. The results supported the first hypothesis stating that “in the experimental group, students’ post-test self-regulated learning were significantly higher than students’ pre-test self-regulated learning. However, the second hypothesis and third hypothesis in the current research were unsupported. Theoretical and practical implications of the current research  were discussed through the lens of theories on  writing-learning journal, a counselling technique of rational emotive behavioral therapy, self regulated learning, and cross-cultural counseling.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the rampant of batik female workers who worked with the Putting Out System (POS) and were marginalized in Pekalongan City. This study was aimed to answer the research questions: what was the marginalization form of women workers through the wage system and division of labor in the production chain based on POS was; the actors who were involved in the process; what factors caused it; and what was implications for women workers, their family and bosses inside production process as well as outside the production process. In-depth interview and observation were used to investigate data. Triangulation of data source and investigating method were also used to validate the investigated data. In addition, Interactive model was used to analyze. The results were: (1) the actors who played a role in the process of marginalization of women workers in Pekalongan batik is the boss, makloon, religious elite (Kyai / Ustazd - ah), and the state; (2) the cause root of that marginalization was manipulated by patriarchal and capitalism ideology; and (3) the implication of that marginalization for woman workers inside production process was that they were positioned as a production machine to make a profit. While the implications outside the production process, they still lived in poverty.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mencoba untuk merefleksikan kegiatan belajar dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa di kelas. Apa yang terjadi pada pola mengajar di kelas di sekolah, dan apakah mengajar di kelas di al-Azhar SMP Islam 14 Semarang telah mencapai tingkat pengetahuan tindakan atau masih di sekolah pengetahuan adalah untuk menjawab masalah dalam penelitian ini. Ini Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan yang ditawarkan oleh Douglas Barnes, yang pengetahuan sekolah dan pengetahuan tindakan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi dari dua pendekatan (pengetahuan sekolah dan pengetahuan tindakan) yang dilakukan di SMP Islam Al Azhar 14, adalah pada dua pendekatan yang diprakarsai oleh Douglas Barnes. Menurut Barnes, secara umum, siswa belajar pengetahuan baru di sekolah tingkat, mahasiswa hanya mendapatkan pengetahuan itu, misalnya, siswa hanya mampu menjawab pertanyaan guru, ujian pertanyaan, dan latihan, tetapi mereka tidak menggunakan pengetahuan itu, atau bahkan melupakannya. Dia mengatakan bahwa idealnya, belajar di kelas harus memperpanjang untuk learning by doing. Siswa tidak hanya menguasai pengetahuan pada waktu di dalam kelas (pengetahuan sekolah), tetapi mereka juga sudah harus menggunakan pengetahuan yang dalam pribadi mereka daerah dalam bentuk tindakan (pengetahuan tindakan). sedang beraksi perspektif pengetahuan, siswa pada dunia dapat diubah, sehingga mereka akan dapat mengambil tujuan hidup mereka sendiri.

Abstract

The current study aims to examine the impact of cultural dimensions (i.e., collectivism, power distance, uncertainty avoidance, and masculinity) on students’ attitude towards problem-based learning. The design of the current study was a correlational survey, wherein participants were recruited by means of a convenient sampling. Inspection of a multiple regression analysis (N = 549) revealed that collectivism and masculinity positively corresponded with the attitudes. In particular, we found that that the higher the level of collectivism and masculinity, the more students supported the implementation of problem-based learning. In contrast, uncertainty avoidance was negatively related to the attitude in such a way that the higher this cultural dimension, the less students supported problem-based learning. Power distance was the only predictor that did not significantly predict students’ attitude towards problem-based learning. These findings overall suggest the importance of taking into account the characteristics of norms and values people hold within a country that might contribute to the success, feasibility, and  suitability of problem-based learning. Theoretical implications and study limitations of the current findings are discussed, as are practical strategies highlighting on how to deal with cultural potentials and pitfalls in an attempt to promote problem-based learning.

Abstract

Stereotype concerning gender role has attached on society. Paradigm which views the label differential between female and male characteristics is affected by many factors. Biological, social standpoints, theories of gender psychoanalytical, social cognitive and scheme have concealed influential factors based on its own perspectives. Education based on gender has been one of the programs for government therefore gender bias will be able to be eliminated and the awareness of it will be augmented on many education aspects, for teachers in classes and parents as well. There are many alternative solutions for parents and teachers to be able to encourage learners in having awareness therefore gender bias might be abbreviated.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental mencerminkan pada ketenangan, keharmonisan dan ketenteraman jiwanya. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan pemikiran Amin Syukur mengenai maqāmāt tasawuf bagi terapi mental. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah library research. Selain itu, teknik pengumpulan data juga dilakukan dengan wawancara kepada sumber data primer untuk tujuan cek dan ricek (trianguasi). Semua data dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dan content analysis. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini, yaitu: Pertama, bahwa konsep tasawuf Amin Syukur termasuk dalam tasawuf akhlaki. Menurut Amin Syukur tasawuf akhlaki merupakan ajaran mengenai moral atau akhlak yang hendaknya diterapkan sehari-hari guna memperoleh kebahagiaan yang optimal. Kedua, bahwa Amin Syukur memandang Maqamat dalam tasawuf dapat dijadikan sebagai konsep dasar bagi penyembuhan berbagai penyakit, terutama mental dan dapat juga dijadikan sebagai sumber penyembuhan penyakit fisik. Ketiga, masyarakat modern saat ini mengalami beberapa problem, seperti himpitan ekonomi, kenakalan remaja, kegelisahan, kecemasan, stres dan depresi. Maka dari itu, tasawuf memberikan kontribusi upaya penyembuhan dengan melalui amaliah-amaliah tasawuf seperti ridha terhadap ketentuan, harus bersikap sabar terhadap segala persoalan yang dihadapi, harus membiasakan sikap hidup zuhud (tidak glamor).

Abstract

rOld age is the last time of the human life cycle. Old age has the potential to have physical and mental health problems such as anxiety facing death. This study aims to determine how the application of sufic counseling in dealing with anxiety facing death in the elderly at the Community-Based Social Protection House (RPSBM) of Pekalongan City.This type of research is qualitative research with a comparative descriptive analysis case study approach to find out the flow of elderly problems and compare the condition of the elderly before and after sufistic counseling. The study subjects consisted of four elderly women and men. Data collection uses interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data checking, clarification, verification, analysis and conclusion making. The application of sufistic counseling consists of several steps, namely takhalli (self awareness), tahalli (self development), and self empowerment. The results showed that sufistic counseling can reduce anxiety facing death in the elderly with a change in emotional conditions better between before and after sufic counseling.

Abstract

Abstract: Holistic education model using the method of knowing the good, feeling the good, and acting the good. Knowing the good can easily be taught because of cognitive knowledge only. After knowing the good, it must be grown feeling loving the good, that is how to feel and love of virtue into a machine that can make people always want to do something good. Once accustomed to do good things, the good acting then it turns into a habit. The formulation is embodied in a program named: education culture and national character, which is interpreted as an education that develops the cultural values and national character in students. Abstract

The study aimed to describe the dynamics of religious awareness experience, religious maturity, religious conversion, and factors that influence religiosity among Muslim minorities in Purbo, Pekalongan, Central Java, Indonesia. it employed a qualitative descriptive research method within which the informants were selected using snowball sampling. The results showed that firstly, the religious awareness of the Muslim minorities in Purbo reflects an expression of feelings that they are called to believe in Islam, and it is a gift from Allah SWT. Meanwhile, the religious experience reflects ritual worship that is considered as a religious demand. Secondly, the religious maturity of them has not fully fulfilled its criteria as theorized. It has unique characteristics. Thirdly, there are two types of religious conversions, are: converting to Islam and leaving from Islam. Fourthly, factors that influence the dynamics of Muslim minority in Purbo are age of development and experience of subjective diversity, education, environment, and culture.
