Abstract

The purpose of this Community Service is to develop philology lecture materials for PBSI students and guide students in conducting philology manuscript studies at the Siginjei Jambi Museum. The Service Learning method of this community service uses socialization in the form of lectures, providing materials, and field studies. The Service Learning method is carried out because of the nature of serving the community through a community or several people who aim to develop themselves. The number of students in this activity is 21. The results of this Community Service are data to be written into the PKM report, which is the main task of lecturers in the Tri Dharma of higher education and to add to the teaching materials used in learning philology courses. The conclusion is that this assistance aims to develop philology lecture materials for students, where materials related to philology, namely manuscripts/handscripts, can be actualized through this visit.

Abstract

The present research aims to verify the implementation of a cooperative-contrastive model that can overcome students’ difficulties in translating texts from English into Indonesian. The study was conducted by a lecturer-researcher who involved 31 students who took Translation II subject. The duration of the research was two months and took place at the English Education program of Batanghari University. The main finding of the research is that the contrastive-cooperative model does not boast promising results in overcoming students' difficulties in translating texts from English into Indonesian. On the contrary, the approach lends itself to new problems in the students' translation. Hence, the lecturer-researcher tried to overcome the difficulties by training the students with some techniques, such as substitution, description, expansion, and transposition.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly changed the trade landscape, influencing the way business is conducted around the world. This research aims to investigate the experience and influence of digital phenomena on traditional trade. Qualitative research methods were used, with in-depth interviews and content analysis as the main tools for data collection. Through this approach, a deep understanding of how traditional commerce adapts and evolves in the digital era is gained. The research results show that digitalization has provided challenges and opportunities for traditional trade actors. On the one hand, digitalization has increased market accessibility, enabling traditional traders to reach new customers through online platforms. On the other hand, increasingly powerful digital competitors pose a threat to the continuity of traditional trading businesses. Traditional merchants must adapt quickly to new technology to remain competitive.

Abstract

Research Objectives: 1) To partially analyze the influence of the school environment on student learning achievement; 2) To partially analyze the influence of teacher communication on student learning achievement; 3) To analyze the influence of student learning motivation on student learning achievement partially; and 4) To analyze the influence of the school environment, teacher communication and learning motivation on student learning achievement simultaneously. This research is included in the associative causality group. It is classified as associative because this research aims to determine whether or not there is a relationship between the variables being studied. It is categorized as causality, because this research aims to find out whether the observed variables have a certain causal relationship as predicted theoretically. The method used is a quantitative method. The results of this research conclude: 1) the school environment has a partial influence on student learning achievement; 2) teacher communication has a partial influence on student learning achievement; 3) student learning motivation has a partial influence on student learning achievement; 4) the school environment, teacher communication, and student learning motivation have an influence on student learning achievement simultaneously.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and document the form, characteristics and meaning of euphemistic language styles in the novel Pukat by Tere Liye. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research using a structural approach. The data in this research is the euphemistic language style in the novel Pukat by Tere Liye. Data collection techniques were carried out using library study and documentation techniques. The results of this research are that the euphemistic language style in the novel Pukat by Tere Liye is divided into 5 forms. These five forms can be broken down into euphemistic language styles, word forms, phrases, clauses, sentences and idioms. The use of euphemistic language styles is based on the most prominent form, namely the form of the word. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that euphemistic language styles based on word forms are more prominent in the novel Pukat by Tere Liye. Based on its characteristics, euphemistic language styles that have more subtle/polite diction are most often found. Meanwhile, based on its meaning, the euphemistic language style in the novel Pukat by Tere Liye has a more subtle meaning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan sekolah, dan komunikasi guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa secara simultan. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam golongan asosiatif kausalitas. Digolongkan asosiatif karena penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya hubungan antar variable yang di teliti. Dikategorikan kausalitas, karena penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah variable-variabel yang di amati mempunyai hubungan sebab akibat tertentu seperti yang diduga secara teoritis. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan: 1) Lingkungan sekolah memiliki pengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa secara parsial; 2) Komunikasi guru memiliki pengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa secara parsial; 3) Lingkungan sekolah dan komunikasi guru siswa memiliki pengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa secara simultan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pelaksanaan layanan penguasaan konten untuk membantu mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa, dan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan layanan penguasaan konten untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan layanan. Subjek dalam kegiatan ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 1 yang berjumlah 32 orang di SMAN 10 Kota Jambi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berupa data yang diperoleh dari responden melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa 1) Penerapan Layanan Penguasaan Konten untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar dan meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa di kelas XI IPS 1 di SMAN 10 Kota Jambi. hal ini dapat dilihat pada hasil kegiatan pengabdian pada lembar observasi, hasil wawancara dan kegiatan pembelajaran pada materi bimbingan konseling. Pada hasil Siklus I, siswa sudah memahami pentingnya memiliki keterampilan belajar yang efektif dan efisien serta penguasaan teknik 3M. Sementara itu, pada hasil siklus II, siswa sudah memahami dan mampu menunjukkan perilaku belajar yang baik, yang ditunjukkan dalam bentuk kedisiplinan, kerjasama dan tanggung jawab. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil kerja siswa yang didasarkan atas kesepakatan bersama, dan telah menunjukkan bahwa mereka mampu saling bertukar pendapat, bekerja sama dalam menyelesaikan setiap permasalahan, dan mampu bertanggung jawab terhadap setiap keputusan yang telah disepakati bersama.

Abstract

Tujuan pembelajaran menulis esai agar siswa mampu menggembangkan tulisan yang berkualitas, pembelajaran menulis esai dipelajari pada kelas XII adapun yang menjadi standar kompetensi dan kompetesi dasar dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis esai yang menjadi tujuan penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode quasi eksperiment. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan maka dapat dijawab rumusan masalah bahwa pelaksanaan pengaruh penerapan model cooperative integrated reading and composition terhadap kemampuan menulis esai terdapat ada pengaruh. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan model cooperative integrated reading and composition berpengaruh terhadap hasil pembelajaran menulis esai siswa kelas XII IPA SMA N 8 Kota Jambi tahun pelajaran 2023/2024

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan reduplikasi pada aspek bentuk dalam novel Selamat Tinggal karya Tere Liye. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang dideskripsikan dalam temuan-temuan berupa kutipan yang terdapat dalam novel Selamat Tinggal karya Tere Liye. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ditemukan empat penggunaan bentuk reduplikasi yang terdapat dalam novel Selamat Tinggal karya Tere Liye. Dari temuan-temuan yang berjumlah 110 kutipan berdasarkan empat penggunaan bentuk reduplikasi dalam novel tersebut, yang paling dominan yaitu bentuk reduplikasi yang berkombinasi dengan proses pembubuhan afiks ditemukan sebanyak 51 kutipan dan yang sedikit ditemukan yaitu reduplikasi dengan perubahan fonem berjumlah 7 kutipan. Sedangkan reduplikasi seluruh ditemukan sebanyak 36 kutipan dan reduplikasi sebagian ditemukan sebanyak 12 kutipan. Bentuk reduplikasi ini digunakan disimpulkan memberikan pemahaman kepada pembaca bahwa bentuk reduplikasi yang dituju untuk mempertegas makna. Bentuk reduplikasi ini ditemukan sebanyak 7 kutipan.
