Abstract

This study used mixed methods: Grounded Theory of Mode 2 which focused on application for management science and supported by Experimental Design. It is resulted ” A Competitive Stakeholder Theory” with Theoretical Propositions are 1) CSR (Triple Bottom Line philosophy) and Stakeholder Theory are competing theories considered as strategic management to achieve objectives through value maximizing. The goal of Stakeholder Theory is pro all stakeholders involved. Every stakeholder including shareholder shares and creates values together which are useful for themselves. 2) Stakeholder Theory is a dynamic process that contributed by Power and Control of Stakeholders embedded in ethics/philosophy; Existing Issues; Cost Effective Strategies; Moral and Trust; PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act); Recognition and Creating Values. They are a continuous process and have an interrelated relationship. In addition, pre and post interventions in society showed dramatically in reducing communicable diseases. Workplace performed high productivity among workers. Good overall score of Malcolm Baldrige Score Card indicated the quality management of this CSR was in place. It is suggested this Stakeholder Theory would be applied at stable situation and at unstable situation such as uncertainty, turbulence, limited resources, remote areas, minimizing risk and issues of social responsibility. Although the CSR implemented in exploration phase or has not produced yet, there would be value creation for all stakeholders involved particularly community.Keywords: CSR, Stakeholder Theory, Competitive, Value Maximizing

Abstract

Political marketing is necessary both for politicians and political parties. Political marketing is believed to be the methods and instruments that can help politicians and political parties in order to create competitive advantage and win the competition. Actually there are some similarities in terms of selling politicians and to sell products. Most political sell products in the shape of abstracs and intangible, related to the value (value laden), the promise in the future, or something that satisfaction gained in the long term, vague, and uncertain. The purpose of this study was to find out level of perceptions of urban and suburban groups on the political product, the price of politics, political campaigns, and political distribution of the decisions to vote at the urban and suburban groups, as well as examine the differences between urban groups with a group of suburban. This study sampled at village of Cintaraja and the village of Kulim in the city of Pekanbaru by respondents as many as 100 people. The data used are primary data obtained from a questionnaire with five-point Likert scale to determine the perceptions of respondents on the variables observed. The findings obtained are known effect of a political product, the price of politics, poltical campaigns and political distribution in the urban and suburban groups. Political campaign and the distribution of politics does not affect the vote decision of urban group. On the outskirts of the distribution of political groups does not affect the decision to choose, there is a different partially, but simultaneously, there is no difference in the decision to vote in urban with a group of suburban.

Abstract

This research was aimed to develop and examine the relationship consistency of readiness for change contextual variable in analyzing the effect of Total Quality Management (TQM) practice on performance. Data collection used survey method by sending 748 questioners to senior manager of 393 listed companies at Indonesia Capital Market based on Indonesia Capital Market Directory year of 2008. Method of analysis used Sructural Equation Model (SEM) with company treated as unit of analysis. There were 108 data available for analysis. The research findings indicate for effectively implementation of TOM practice must be supported by high readiness for change of organization staff employee to create quality of outcome in terms of high product quality which increases performance. Managerial implication of this research stressing that managers should spend time to assess the readiness for TOM before implementing TOM practice in order to have optimal benefits and sustainability.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of ambiguity tolerance and organizational of justice toward the organizational change commitment mediated by confidence of change's recipient and the employee's Cynical Attitude. This research was applied in the environment of Papua Provincial Government, in implementing organizational change strategies through restrukturisai, to achieve successful organizational change objectives. The sources of data in this study are primary and secondary data. The population of this study are civil servants who occupy the structural position of echelon IV and III, which found as many as 184 people as the research sample. The analytical method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), The results showed that tolerance of ambiguity and organizational justice simultaneously through conviction of employees to accept change and cynicism will affect employees' commitment to organizational change efforts. The confidence of employees' to accept changes in the organization of the employees is high. These degrees will provide a direct impact on low cynicism, and provide an indirect positive impact significantly on the commitment of organizational change.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) To find the determinant variables that discriminate the consumers'group on trusting or not to the online-transactions, among the dependent variables which consist of vendor-capacity, perceived-familiarity, perceived-reputation, and personal values. (2) To find the most differrent variable from those determinant variables found, and (3) To Find the effective strategy to overcome the e-trust barriers in Indonesian online-market. The data collected from 85 samples of Indonesians that experiencing the e-commerce transactions. Many questioners were spread by mailed and directly spreading to meet the quota. The data analysis that used were Discriminant Analysis and Crosstab Analisis. The result of this study show that from four predicting variables, there areonly two variables that determinant the consumers'choise to trust or not to the onlinetransactions; vendor-capacity and perceived-familiarity,- which has significant influence for this case. The consumers'perceived-familiarity was found as the most influencing variables that could discriminate the trust of the customers to online-transactions. Therefore, the vendors'strategy should be held to educate the customer and maximizing the customers' relationship programs, beside continous improvement of the vendors' capacities as well.

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari Departemen Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil di Jakarta adalah menyediakan pelayanan yang terbaik bagi warga Jakarta. Pelayanan yang disediakan untuk warga Jakarta membutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki kemampuan yang baik dalam bekerja sebagai pegawai dan pelayan masyarakat. Tuntutan dari kependudukan dan tempat tinggal warga membutuhkan profesionalitas. Seperti yang telah diketahui bahwa warga Jakarta merupakan masyarakat yang heterogen, yang meliputi berbagai suku, ras dan kebangsaan. Hal ini dikarenakan Jakarta memiliki status sebagai Ibu Kota Negara. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Departemen Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil DKI Jakarta adalah kelengkapan dokumen seperti akte lahir, kartu tanda penduduk, kartu keluarga, dan dokumen keimigrasian yang perlu dilengkapi dengan cepat, tepat dan akurat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode sampling acak, dengan mengambil 100 pegawai yang berstatus sebagai pegawai negeri sipil dan aparatur pelayan masyarakat di enam unit di departemen tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dalam menentukan karakter responden dan deskripsi responden dari indikator setiap variable. Sementara itu, untuk menguji hubungan antar variabel, penelitian ini menggunakan analisis infensial dari SEM dengan AMOS 7. Hasil dari penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa kepemimpinan yang baik dapat meningkatkan kinerja pegawai dengan mempertimbangkan komitmen pegawai dan kepuasan dalam bekerja. Selain itu dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai, perilaku kepemimpinan trasformasional dan komitmen yang tinggi dari para pegawai memerlukan perhatian yang cukup serius.

Abstract

The research objective is to reveal and investigate the direct and indirect influence of leadership style on the work performance of private university lecturers in Jayapura. Quantitative approach was applied to achieve the research objective. The data are analyzed by applying a statistic technique PLS (Partial Least Square). The research findings are: (1) the biggest contribution of the influence of leadership style towards the lecturers'work performance in series are: (a) work motivation line as a mediator, (b) work satisfaction line as a mediator, (c) combination of work satisfaction and work motivation line as a mediator. (2) to create better lecturers'work performance, a leader should: (a) be more creative and initiative, help in problems solving, enhance the lecturers, and follow the surrounding movements, (b) be able to create comfortable feeling for the lecturers so that they have great interest to their jobs, and create joyful work environment, and (c) be able to improve lecturers'work motivation through the togetherness in work, pay attention to carrier promotion, and give achievement to the lecturers having good work performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between competitive strategy andorganisational performance and to determine the applicability of Porter's generic strategies in explainingits different effects to the organisational performance. There are three independent variables analyzed inthis study: differentiation strategy, cost leadership and integrated strategy, while the dependent variable isthe performance of the organization which is a subjective measure of objective's fulfillment and relativecompetitive performance. The data has been collected then analyzed using linear multiple regressionanalysis. The results of this study indicates that the application of a generic strategy has an importantinfluence on the bank's performance, while the selection of differentiation strategy has a better impact onthe bank's performance in comparison with the cost leadership and integrated strategies.

Abstract

The study is aimed to test and analyze the influence of entrepreneurship education towards the student' entrepreneurial intentions both directly and indirectly through the needs for achievement and self- efficacy and the influence of gender stereotype towards the student entrepreneurial intentions both di- rectly and indirectly through the needs for achievements and self-efficacy. The Population of study wa the native Papua student who having certain economic background in Jayapura. The sample was selected from 197 of 4 (four) universities in Jayapura. The sampling technique used was probability sampling with proportionate stratified random sampling and the data analysis was conducted using SEM (Structural Equation Model) and Sobel Test. The Result of analysis show that the entrepreneurship education can improve the students' entrepreneurial intentions indirectly as self-efficacy increased. Whereas gender ste- reotype can improve students' entrepreneurial intentions both directly and indirectly as the needs for achievement and self-efficacy increased. Gender stereotype gives major contribution to the increase of students' entrepreneurial intentions.

Abstract

Bagi perusahaan dagang, persediaan merupakan salah satu aset utama perusahaan karena sebagian besar investasi perusahaan dialokasikan untuk persediaan sehingga diperlukan pengelolaan persediaan yang baik agar persediaan dapat digunakan dengan efektif dan efrisien. Dalam penelitian ini, UD. Amino 2 sebagai salah satu perusahaan penjual batu alam harus dapat melakukan pengendalian persediaan dengan baik agar perusahaan dapat mengalokasikan dananya dengan efektif untuk penyediaan persediaan. Penelitian ini bersifat studi kasus tunggal yang dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi pengendalian persediaan yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan UD. Amino 2, sehingga melalui evaluasi tersebut, dapat dilakukan pengendalian persediaan yang teratur bagi perusahaan untuk menekan  biaya persediaan dan untuk pengantisipasian kehabisan barang dagangan (stock out) di tengah pemintaan yang selalu berfluktuasi dengan penyediaan persediaan pengaman (safety stock). Pengendalian persediaan yang baik pada UD. Amino 2 dapat dilakukan dengan penetapan persediaan yang memiliki tingkat kontribusi tertinggi terhadap pendapatan perusahaan sehingga pengendalian persediaan yang teratur dapat difokuskan terhadap jenis persediaan tersebut. Variabel utama dalam penelitian ini adalah tingkat permintaan barang dagangan pada periode tertentu dan biaya persediaan. Sumber data bersumber dari data internal perusahaan yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang dilakukan yaitu deskriptif naratif dengan bantuan tabel statistik (tabel distribusi kurva normal) dan statistik sederhana ( Mean, standar deviasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UD. Amino 2 belum melakukan pengendalian persediaan dengan teratur atau hanya berdasarkan pengamatan saja sehingga berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan, penulis dapat memberikan beberapa contoh penerapan persediaan yang teratur dan baik. Pengendalian persediaan yang baik dapat diterapkan dengan penetapan titik ROP dan penetapan safety stock khususnya untuk persediaan yang memiliki volume penjualan yang tinggi sehingga efisiensi biaya persediaan seperti biaya penyimpanan dan biaya kehabisan barang (stockout) dapat dilakukan yang akhirnya diharapkan dapat lebih meningkatkan pelayanan terhadap konsumen.   Kata kunci: Pengendalian persediaan, biaya persediaan, safety stock
