Abstract

Kinetika reaksi oksidasi asam miristat, asam oleat dan asam stearat dalam medium minyak kelapa dan kelapa sawit telah dipelajari dengan mengukur pengurangan luas kromatogram asam lemak dengan kromatografi gas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa reaksi oksidasi asam miristat, asam oleat dan asam stearat mengikuti reaksi orde-1. Hasil penentuan energi aktivasi menunjukkan bahwa energi aktivasi asam oleat lebih kecil dibanding asam miristat dan asam stearat dalam minyak kelapa , minyak kelapa sawit maupun tanpa medium. Dari hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa asam oleat lebih cepat teroksidasi dibanding asam stearat dan asam miristat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mempelajari tentang pengaruh temperatur, laju alir dan berat katalis Ni-Mo-S/ZAA terhadap hidrocracking tir batubara untuk menghasilkan fraksi bensin dan fraksi kerosin serta kalor pembakaran produk tersebut. Proses hidrocracking tir batubara dilakukan pada temperatur 300-400°C, laju alir gas hidrogen 1-2 mL/det dan jumlah katalis 0,25-1,0 g. Produk hidrocracking tir batubara dianalisa dengan menggunakan alat infra merah, kromatografi gas dan kalorimeter. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa fraksi bensin dan kerosin yang dihasilkan pada temperatur hidrocracking 350°C, laju alir gas hidrogen 1,5 ml/det dan berat katalis 1,25 g mencapai hasil yang maksimum yaitu 20,486 persen untuk fraksi bensin dan 26,552 persen untuk fraksi kerosin. Kalor pembakaran produk hidrocracking tersebut nilainya terletak antara nilai kalor pembakaran bensin dan kerosin yaitu sebesar 48,6419 kJ/g.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang kualitas batubara sub-bituminus dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode flotasi. Peningkatan kalor pembakaran batubara diperoleh dengan mengoptimalkan kadar karbon tertambat melalui penurunan kandungan air lembab, kadar abu dan zat terbang tereduksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kondisi optimum peningkatan kalor pembakaran batubara dengan variasi ukuran partikel dan variasi volume frother. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ukuran partikel optimum 40 mesh dan volume trother optimum 5 mL. Kondisi optimum tersebut meningkatkan kadar karbon tertambat dimana persentase kenaikan 38,31%, dengan persentase penurunan kadar air lembab sebesar 93,18%, kadar abu dari sebesar 84,17% dan zat terbang sebesar 8,74%, sehingga kalor pembakaran batubara meningkat dari 26,19 kJ/g menjadi 29,13 kJ/g.

Abstract

Preparation and characterization of Cr/activated carbon catalyst from palm empty fruit bunch had been done. The research were to determine the effect of carbonization temperature towards adsorption of ammonia, iodine number, metilen blue number, and porosity of activated carbon and Cr/activated carbon catalyst. The determination of porosity include surface area, micropore volume and total pore volume. The results showed the best carbonization temperature activated carbon and Cr/activated carbon catalyst at 700°C. The adsorption ammonia of activated carbon and Cr/activated carbon catalyst as 6.379 mmol/g and 8.1624 mmol/g. The iodine number of activated carbon and Cr/activated carbon catalyst as 1520.16 mg/g and 1535.67 mg/g. The metilen blue number of activated carbon and Cr/activated carbon catalyst as 281.71 mg/g and 319.18 mg/g. The surface area of activated carbon and Cr/activated carbon catalyst as 1527.80 m2/g and 1652.58 m2/g. The micropore volume of activated carbon and Cr/activated carbon catalyst as 0.7460 cm3/g and 0.8670 cm3/g. Abstract

Desa Ulak Kerbau Baru merupakan desa pembibitan. Di desa Ulak kerbau baru memiliki banyak tanaman bunga rosella dan manggis. Tanaman bunga rosella dan buah manggis belum dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat karena kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat terkait manfaat dan cara pengelolahan tanaman tersebut. Berdasarkan penelitian bunga rosella dan kulit buah manggis memiliki efek peningkat sistem imun. Dimasa pandemi covid 19 masyarakat membutuhkan suplemen peningkat sistem imun. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif penggunaan bahan alam menjadi produk peningkat sistem imun Di Desa Ulak Kerbau Baru Tanjung Raja. Metode kegiatan ini menggunakan observasi, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung. Adapun tahap pelaksanaan dibagi menjadi 3 tahapan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat desa Ulak kerbau Baru dalam mengelola bunga rosella dan kulit buah manggis menjadi produk peningkat sistem inum dilihat dari peningkatan nilai pretest 72% dan nilai post test95%.

Abstract

Community service has been conducted regarding counseling on making liquid soap from Virgin coconut oil. The service was carried out in front of mothers and young women in Semambu Island village. In the community service activities, demonstrations and practices are carried out on how to make liquid soap that smells good and can be used as bath soap from Virgin Coconut Oil. The community is very enthusiastic to learn how to make this soap because coconut raw materials are widely available in Semambu, Ogan Ilir Utara District, Jalan Raya Palembang-Prabumulih. Counseling and training on liquid soap are carried out face-to-face in the field. This activity was attended by 50 female recitation members as well as young women from the village. The activity was also attended by 7 Sriwijaya University students. The method of community service activities carried out is the delivery of scientific material and empirical facts from Island village. From the results of the activity, the participants tried to make their own soap using the raw materials provided by the community service team from the UNSRI Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Abstract

As one of the branches of spirituality in Islam, Sufism emphasizes simplicity, wisdom, and harmony with nature. The Eco-Sufism movement is an approach that integrates Sufi spiritual values with environmental awareness. This study examines the significance of Sufism in environmental sustainability through a case study at the Kanzun Najah Islamic Boarding School, Batu Malang City. This Islamic boarding school has adopted Eco-Sufism-based practices, such as organic farming, utilization of renewable energy, and conservation of natural resources, all inspired by Sufism teachings. Through a qualitative approach, this study analyzes how Sufi teachings on the relationship between humans and nature are translated into concrete actions to support environmental sustainability. The results show that applying Sufi values in environmental management positively impacts the socio-ecological welfare of the Islamic boarding school community while inspiring similar movements in other areas. This study also proposes that Eco-Sufism can comprehensively solve global environmental challenges by strengthening the spiritual connection between humans and nature.

Abstract

The Mentoring Program for Islamic Education Olympiad Material Preparation at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 3 Kediri is an initiative aimed at enhancing students' competencies for participating in Islamic Education (PAI) Olympiads at regional and national levels. This program is designed to provide intensive guidance and material reinforcement across key areas within the PAI discipline, including Aqidah Akhlak (Islamic Belief and Morals), Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence), Al-Qur'an Hadith, and Islamic Cultural History. Through specialized mentoring by experienced teachers and coaches, students are trained to deeply understand core concepts, strengthen analytical abilities, and improve their skills in answering Olympiad questions. The program uses a structured learning approach, ranging from fundamental material review to exam simulations aligned with Olympiad formats. The outcomes of this program are expected to equip students with confidence and a solid understanding, enabling them to excel in competitive settings. Furthermore, this program contributes to improving the quality of education at MAN 3 Kediri and fosters the development of religious character, critical thinking, and a positive competitive spirit among students

Abstract

This paper will discuss the universality of Islam in the thought of Maḥmūd Shaltūt. The universality of Islam is an essential topic amid a crisis in the meaning of Islam due to violent conflicts that are often in the name of Islam. As a result, Islam, which is known to have a vision of raḥmatan li al-‘ālamīn, is perceived as a religion that legalizes violence for the sake of group interests. Maḥmūd Shaltūt is a moderate figure who tries to define Islam in a universal, moderate, and tolerant manner. This paper will explain Maḥmūd Shaltūt's biography based on a literature study. Then, it is directed to explain Islam in the distinction between the meaning of Aqidah and Sharia, followed by explaining the construction of the paradigm of Islamic universality through Mahmud Maḥmūd Shaltūt's interpretation of the word Islam in the Qur’an. The final part will review the implementation of Maḥmūd Shaltūt's paradigm of Islamic universality in the discourse of taqrīb madhāhib. This paper finds that (1) the crisis in the interpretation of Islam begins with the issue of the distinction between the meaning of aqidah and sharia. (2) in Maḥmūd Shaltūt's thought, Islam's universality comes from the Qur’an's universality. (3) the universality of Islam explored through the interpretation of the Qur’an led Maḥmūd Shaltūt to an understanding of Islam in the theological and sociological realms. Based on the paradigm of Islamic universality, Maḥmūd Shaltūt implemented the principle of Islamic universality in the discourse of taqrīb bayna madhāhib.
