Abstract

Community radio in Indonesia has grown rapidly in the past 20 years in line with the raising of public awareness about the right to free access to public information. This study aims to describe the role of community radio as a medium for empowering rural communities, especially in driving the community's economy. Through a qualitative descriptive method, the results of the study show that community radio in Sidoarjo is beneficial for developing the village economy and encouraging micro-enterprises at the village level where small business units grow. In this case, Radio Pendowo FM community as part of the community media has shown its role by synergizing with the community and village government.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana manajemen pengadaan sarana dan prasarana di Masjid Al Badar Pecantingan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, yaitu dengan menggambarkan kondisi yang sebenarnya berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengadaan program kerja sudah dilakukan dengan baik dan sesuai prosedur, terutama melalui musyawarah bersama pengurus. Namun, manfaat dari kegiatan tersebut belum dirasakan secara maksimal. Misalnya, perbaikan atap beton yang bocor hingga saat ini belum dilaksanakan, padahal hal tersebut termasuk kebutuhan yang mendesak. Oleh karena itu, pengurus masjid perlu lebih memperhatikan skala prioritas dalam program kerja agar pengadaan sarana dan prasarana benar-benar bermanfaat bagi jemaah.

Abstract

One of the competencies that must be possessed by students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, especially at IAI Al-Qolam, is that students are able to perform theater performances. The curriculum of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program also requires students to take Theater Performance courses in the fifth semester. The competency will be mastered by students if they are able to performe based on project learning using the role playing method. Project learning will provide a real stage experience, they will be able to apply various theories related to theater that were previously taken in the Literary Studies course. The role playing method helps students become skillful in a theater performance. The capability of acting is a very important factor, because a character in a theater will have a better performance if the character is able to live up to every role he gets after casting. The role playing method is an effort to improve theater playing skills for students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program at IAI Al-Qolam, which is expected to be an effective and fun learning method, so that students are motivated to play theater well.

Abstract

Bagi umat Islam, masjid merupakan institusi penting dalam melakukan pembinaan dan mengembangkan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Selain berfungsi sebagai tempat ibadah (sholat), masjid juga memiliki peran sebagai pusat pendidikan dan kebudayaan Islam. Keberadaannya bisa menjadi medium pemersatu umat, lambang syi’ar dan kebanggaan. Karena itu masjid harus difungsikan secara optimal untuk kepentingan umat Islam dalam mengatur segala sendi kehidupan. Penelitian ini bertujuan bagaimana masjid bisa difungsikan secara optimal melalui berbagai kegiatan keagamaan, dengan menerapkan manajemen yang baik. Masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian fokus pada dua hal, pertama bagaimana strategi yang dilakukan untuk mengoptimalkan kegiatan keagamaan; kedua, bagaimana keterlibatan masyarakat dalam upaya memakmurkan masjid. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan; pertama, manajemen yang diterapkan dalam uupaya optimalisasi keagamaan berjalan dengan baik; Kedua, respon masyarakat dalam mendukung upaya memakmurkan masjid sangatlah besar, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan partisipasi aktif masyarakat sekitar untuk mendirikan shalat berjamaah di masjid. Ketiga, dalam upaya membangun jaringan donasi, pengurus menggandeng lembaga kemasyarakatan RT RW, sehingga sinergitas kerja sama dapat dibangun dengan baik melalui kerja sama semua pihak.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the professionalism of teachers in improving students’ learning motivation at MTs. Al-Mahrusiyyah Lirboyo Kediri. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that teacher professionalism is reflected in four main competencies: pedagogical, personal, social, and professional. These competencies significantly contribute to enhancing students’ learning motivation. Teachers at MTs. Al-Mahrusiyyah implement varied learning strategies, emphasize a humanistic approach, and create participatory and meaningful learning environments. Field data show that teachers’ skills in building empathetic communication and providing positive reinforcement play a crucial role in sustaining students’ enthusiasm. This study concludes that improving teacher professionalism directly impacts the quality of instruction and students’ motivation, particularly in a pesantren-based educational setting.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance teachers’ competence in developing information technology–based learning materials within the Islamic boarding school context. The training and mentoring program was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Sirojul Ulum over a period of one month, involving ten teachers from various subjects. The research employed a participatory approach consisting of training sessions, implementation mentoring, and performance evaluation. During the program, participants received training on the use of digital tools, the development of instructional media using applications such as PowerPoint, Canva, and Google Classroom, as well as the creation of interactive learning videos. The results indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ ability to design and utilize digital learning media independently. Approximately 80% of participants successfully produced functional digital learning products, while all participants demonstrated improved digital literacy, as observed and assessed through interviews. Moreover, continuous mentoring fostered teachers’ motivation and creativity in integrating technology to create more engaging and student-centered learning experiences. In conclusion, the training and mentoring program effectively strengthened teachers’ digital competencies in Islamic boarding schools. Similar initiatives are recommended to be implemented continuously with institutional support and adequate infrastructure to promote inclusive and adaptive digital transformation in Islamic education.   Keywords: Teacher Training, Mentoring, Information Technology, Islamic Boarding School, Learning Media

Abstract

The era of global transformation, marked by the rapid advancement of information technology, the globalization of thought, and the openness of religious discourse, has brought serious implications for the sustainability of Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah (Aswaja). On the one hand, religious radicalism develops through rigid and exclusive textual interpretations; on the other hand, religious liberalism emerges through approaches that tend to be relativistic and deconstructive toward Islamic teachings. Both currents pose ideological challenges to the existence of Aswaja as a moderate Islamic manhaj. This article aims to analyze the forms of challenges posed by radicalism and liberalism to the sustainability of Aswaja in the era of global transformation and to reaffirm the relevance of Aswaja values in maintaining religious balance. This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a library research method to analyze classical and contemporary literature related to Aswaja, radicalism, and liberalism. The findings indicate that Aswaja principles such as tawassuth (moderation), tawazun (balance), tasamuh (tolerance), and i‘tidal (justice) play a strategic role in responding to global challenges and sustaining moderate Islam. Therefore, strengthening the internalization of Aswaja values is an urgent necessity in addressing the dynamics of contemporary Islamic thought.   Keywords: Aswaja, Radicalism, Liberalism, Global Transformation, Moderate Islam
