Abstract

This research is intended to increase space and time in learning English, where space and time for English is very difficult to find in Indonesia. Through Mobile applications, learning will be more exclusive so as to reduce psychological barriers and cut the gap between teachers and students. They will feel more confident in expressing their opinions. This lesson will also be more constructive, give each other feedback between students and students and lecturers with students. This research will begin with the observation process to determine the object and location of the research. The use of WhatsaApp in learning will be conducted outside the classroom by determining the regular schedule and consistently. Begin by creating a group of 5 students with low levels of English language skills. The feature to be used is voice comment/messaging. Speaking skills will be the focus of this research. The method to be used is a combination of quantitative and qualitative (Mixed Method). Observations and interviews as qualitative representations and measurements of audio / speaking duration represent quantitative. The results of the study indicate that the use of WhatsApp in supporting learning outside the classroom provides varied progress. The review is measured from several aspects, namely Gender, Duration, Personal Margin Duration, Total Duration and Overall Personal Average.

Abstract

Abstract. The relationship between the work behavior of crew members on hemoglobin levels, with unhealthy work behavior variables, can cause a decrease or increase in workers' hemoglobin levels. The research was carried out at the Nusantara Port of Parepare KM. Queen Soya. Data processing using Chi-square test. The results of the study of P < 0.05 was 0.36, indicating that there was no significant effect on Hb levels. Keywords: Blood, Hemoglobin, workers

Abstract

Penyakit hipertensi dapat dikendalikan dengan pengobatan non farmalokogis salah satunya air kelapa muda, karena kandungan kalium yang terdapat dalam air kelapa muda sangat bermanfaat untuk menurunkan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air kelapa muda terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lanrisang Kabupaten Pinrang.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksprimen kuasi (quasi ekspriment). Dengan rancangan one group pre test – post test. Variabel independen adalah pemberian air kelapa muda dan variabel dependen adalah penurunan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi. Sampelnya sebanyak 52 responden dan teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lanrisang Kabupaten Pinrang pada Tanggal 25 Maret sampai 30 Juli 2018. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpukan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian air kelapa muda terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lanrisang Kabupaten Pinrang.

Abstract

Obat Nonfarmakologi adalah obat tradisional yang menggunakan bahan-bahan alami yang mudah didapat karena bisa ditemukan disekitar lingkungan, dimana pengobatan nonfarmakologi memiliki kelebihan dalam banyak hal, serta tidak memiliki efek samping bagi tubuh.Beberapa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penderita hipertensi dalam menggunakan obat nonfarmakologi adalah tingkat pengetahuan, perilaku, kepercayaan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Penderita Hipertensi dalam Menggunakan Obat NonFarmakologi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Cempae Kota Parepare, serta memberikan informasi yang selama ini mereka belum pahami secara jelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan cross sectional. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Wilayah Kerja Pusekesmas Cempae Kota Parepare.Adapun waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni-Juli 2018.Populasinya adalah penderita hipertensi dengan pengambilan sampel yaitu accidental sampling dengan jumlah 100 sampel.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh tingkat pengetahuan (0,035 < 0,05), perilaku (0,004 < 0,05), dan kepercayaan (0,023 < 0,05), penderita hipertensi dalam menggunakan obat nonfarmakologi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Cempae Kota Parepare.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to revolutionize the mentality of the Lembang community / Rante Liombong Villagem motivate and stimulate the work spirit of the Lembang / Rante Liombong Village community and the character of the community must act for change in a better direction. The target of this study is to become a community of integrity, willing to work hard, and have a mutual cooperation spirit. ", The Lembang / Rante Limbong village are aware of effective and efficient work, passionate and motivated to improve work outcomes. The main problem is having a weak mentality that is consumptive always wanting to get something by the Instant way. Large land is not utilized as well as possible, it is left to be a land to sleep without any plants, people prefer lazing at home especially for young people, do not have work ethic, work as they wish, during alcoholic drinks, cockfighting every evening , card gambling all night, even though they need big funds for their party costs, especially the Rambu Solo party.The method used in the activities of the Science and Technology application for society (IbM) is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), which involves the community in activities. The implementation of this activity is through Sikombong (Socialization), assistance, field study and demonstration and evaluation to see the effectiveness of the program so that the program runs effectively and efficiently. The implementation method is to apply and apply an active, effective and efficient work model in order to increase productive work outcomes.

Abstract

In English Learning Teaching (ELT), digital photographs are considered a compelling visual medium to help students write English texts. A writing skill is a capacity to convert ideas into complete, comprehensive and understandable sentences that may be used to convey those ideas to the reader effectively. The purpose of this research is to find out whether using digital photographs can improve students’ skills in writing descriptive texts or not. The researchers used a descriptive quantitative pre-experimental method by applying digital pictures to teach writing descriptive text. The sample of this research consists of thirty students at SMP Negeri 1 Pangsid, South Sulawesi. The result shows that students’ writing skills increased by using digital photographs. The results are indicated by the mean value of the pretest (44,73) and the posttest (82,93). After calculating the t-test, the researchers found that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Using digital photographs as a teaching and learning medium can improve students’ skills n writing descriptive texts. In other words, this medium eases the students in constructing their ideas through descriptive essays.

Abstract

Interviewing technique was attractived technique to implement on English learning process specially in speaking field of the students that still low, caused of teachers teachnique that made students less of self-confidence and doesn’t actively in learning process. It was proved based on the students achievment in researchers observatioan data which was showed that their speaking ability was still low. Therefore, the objective of this research was to find out whether or not the implementation of interviewing technique can increase students speaking ability at the tenth grade students of SMAN 4Parepare in online class by using whatsapp group as a teaching media. The researcher applied pre-experimental class design with one group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research was tenth grade students of SMAN 4 Parepare academic year 2020/2021. The sample of this research was taken by using purposive sampling which was class X MIPA 3 that consisted of 20 students as a samples. The result of data analysis showed that the students speaking ability was increased. It was proved by the mean score in pretest was 56,3 while the mean score in posttest was 80,95. So, the score of t-test 2,217 was greater than t-table th degree of freedom (df = n − 1) 19 for 0,05 level of significance. It can be said that the implementing of interviewing technique increased the students speaking ability at the tenth grade students of SMAN 4 Parepare.

Abstract

This research was conducted to know how the teachers effect on their students. In particular, the influence of teacher creativity on students' interest in learning in seventh grade SMP Negeri 2 Parepare. Teacher creativity is one way to increase student interest in learning, therefore researchers researched to determine how efficiently the influence of teachers on students in seventh grade of Junior High School 2 Parepare. This type of research is a qualitative one conducted with teachers and students. The population of this research is the seventh grade of junior high school 2 Parepare. The respondents of this study consisted of 3 seventh grade teachers. Researchers conducted interview and observation to obtain data. The results showed that the teacher's creativity in teaching greatly increased student interest in learning. Students become very enthusiastic and excited about the teaching and learning process. Especially in this modern era, teaching millennial children is very difficult; therefore it requires high teacher creativity.

Abstract

This research focuses on the implementation of the story face strategy to address the students' lack of reading comprehension. Furthermore, the purpose of this research is to find out whether the implementation of story face strategy can improve students' reading comprehension, especially narrative texts in the form of narrative in class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 9 Parepare. This study uses quantitative methods with pre-experimental classes. Then process of collecting data using pre-test and post-test. The test used was a reading test related to narrative texts about smart parrots, rabbits, and bears, consisting of 10 items, 5 for multiple choice and 5 for essays. Then the sample was selected using simple random sampling, consisting of 20 students from class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 9 Parepare. The results of the data analysis showed that students' reading comprehension increased significantly. This is indicated by the comparison of the results of the pre-test and post-test. There are only 45.71% of students' scores in the pre-test and 84.28% in the post-test. This means that students' reading comprehension is greater after being given treatment with the story face strategy. This shows that students' reading comprehension at UPTD SMP Negeri 9 Parepare has progressed in learning using this strategy.

Abstract

Based on observation, the researcher found that students’ vocabulary mastery relatively low where the big triggers was the learning media used by teacher. So that, the objective of this researcher was to measure whether the use of telegram application can improve the seventh grade students’ vocabulary mastery at UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru. In this research the researcher applied quasi-experimental method.The population of this research was the seventh grade students at UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru. The samples of the research taken using cluster random sampling technique, there are two classes as sample, experimental class and control class, both classes consisted of 28 students.The data was collect using vocabulary test (pre-test and post-test) and analyze employ statistical calculation to test the hypothesis. The result of this research shows that the mean score of pre-test was 45.35 and the post-test was 83.57. Besides the different score of pre-test and post-test, the mean score of the students in post-test 83.57 is higher than the Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (75) in UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru. The result of t-test value in post-test was 2.214 and t-table value was 1.684. It means that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected and The seventh grade students at UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru who are taught by using telegram application is have better vocabulary mastery than the seventh grade students who are taught without using telegram application.
