Abstract

Crossword Puzzle Games provides a number of questions or word phrases as a key to fill in a series of blank boxes that are designed in such a way. Crosword Puzzle can be used as a good games and fun learning without losing the essence of learning. The researcher applied a quasi-experimental method in this research. For the population, SMPN 1 Watangpulu has 210 students in eighth grade which is divided into 7 classes. Then, with 27 students in class VIII D as the experimental class and 19 in class VIII C as the control class. The results showed an improvement in the vocabulary mastery of students who used the Crossword Puzzle Games compared to students who used the Word Searches game. This was evidenced by the average score of students before treatment was the experimental class obtained 42.85 and the mean score of class control was 45.26. So, it can be concluded that applied the Crossword Puzzleis an effective to improving students’ vocabulary mastery in Eighth grade of SMPN 1 Watangpulu for the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

Profesionalisme adalah sifat-sifat (kemampuan, kemahiran, cara pelaksanaan sesuatu dan lain-lain) sebagaimana yang sewajarnya yang terdapat pada atau dilakukan seorang profesional. Profesionalisme merupakan kompetensi untuk melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya secara baik dan benar dan juga komitmen dari pada anggota dari sebuah profesi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dari seorang pekerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh antara tingkat pendidikan, pelatihan, pengalaman kerja dan jabatan terhadap profesionalisme petugas kesehatan di Puskesmas Baroko. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian survei analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yaitu dinamika hubungan atau pun pengaruh antara variabel bebas dengan variabel terikat dikaji pada saat bersamaan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi profesionalisme petugas kesehatan di Puskesmas Baroko. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan berpengaruh secara signifikan dengan t hitung = 2,647 dan t tabel = 0,43. Pelatihan berpengaruh secara signifikan dengan t hitung = 2,647 dan t tabel = 0,468. Pengalaman kerja berpengaruh secara signifikan dengan t hitung = 2,647 dan t tabel = 0,528. Jabatan berpengaruh secara signifikan dengan t hitung = 2,647 dan t tabel = 1,068.

Abstract

Rokok didefinisikan sebagai zat beracun yang dapat menyebabkandampak yang sangat berbahaya bagi pemakainya atau orang di sekitarnya, seperti pada balita yang sangat rentan terhadap bahaya asap rokok. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahuiPengaruh gambaran asap rokok pada dalam rumah menggunakan peristiwa Ispa di Balita pada Puskesmas Lompoe Kota Parepare.Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode Observasional Analitik dengan desain penelitian Cross sectional.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh jumlah balita penderita ISPA sebanyak 1.242 penderita.Penentuan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling sebanyak 30 sampel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkanbahwa ada hubungan antara paparan asap rokok dengan kejadian ISPA pada balita dengan nilai p. value 0,003.Orang tua sebaiknya menghindari rokok di dalam ruangan dan perlu memperhatikan ventilasi rumah tangga untuk mengedarkan udara kotor, seperti asap rokok

Abstract

Latar belakang kajian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya penguatan nilai-nilai Islam wasathiyah sebagai respon terhadap dinamika keberagaman dan potensi disorientasi beragama di kalangan pelajar. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada tiga aspek pokok, yaitu: (1) konsep dan kebijakan moderasi beragama dalam konteks kelembagaan, (2) implementasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dalam praktik pendidikan, baik secara kurikuler, kokurikuler, maupun ekstrakurikuler, serta (3) implikasi aktualisasi moderasi beragama terhadap perilaku peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Pendekatan teologis digunakan untuk mengkaji prinsip-prinsip Islam wasathiyah sebagai dasar normatif dari konsep moderasi beragama, sekaligus sebagai pisau analisis terhadap praktik pendidikan di lembaga yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah di Kota Parepare telah mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama secara sistematis dalam kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan, meskipun pada tataran implementasi di lapangan masih terdapat beberapa aspek yang belum berjalan secara optimal. Nilai-nilai seperti toleransi, keterbukaan terhadap perbedaan, serta cinta tanah air diinternalisasikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan kehidupan sekolah sehari-hari. Implementasi moderasi beragama berdampak positif terhadap peserta didik dalam tiga ranah utama: kognitif (pemahaman keagamaan yang moderat), afektif (sikap inklusif dan empatik), dan psikomotorik (perilaku sosial yang harmonis dan toleran). Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peran lembaga pendidikan dalam membentuk karakter generasi muda yang religius, moderat, dan berwawasan kebangsaan.

Abstract

In English Learning Teaching (ELT), digital photographs are considered acompelling visual medium to help students write English texts. A writing skillis a capacity to convert ideas into complete, comprehensive and understandablesentences that may be used to convey those ideas to the reader effectively. Thepurpose of this research is to find out whether using digital photographs canimprove students’ skills in writing descriptive texts or not. The researchers useda descriptive quantitative pre-experimental method by applying digital picturesto teach writing descriptive text. The sample of this research consists of thirtystudents at SMP Negeri 1 Pangsid, South Sulawesi. The result shows thatstudents’ writing skills increased by using digital photographs. The results areindicated by the mean value of the pretest (44,73) and the posttest (82,93). Aftercalculating the t-test, the researchers found that the null hypothesis (H0) wasrejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Using digitalphotographs as a teaching and learning medium can improve students’ skills nwriting descriptive texts. In other words, this medium eases the students inconstructing their ideas through descriptive essays.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the PAIKEMI learning model (Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective, Enjoyable, and Islamic Learning) in improving students, learning achievement in Islamic Religious Education at MTs Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Enrekang Regency. The focus of the research includes the strategies used by teachers in applying the PAIKEMI model, the instructional methods employed, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors encountered during the learning process. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in depth interview, questionnaires, documentation, and field notes. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the instructional practices. The findings indicate that the implementation of the PAIKEMI model has a positive impact on improving students learning achievement in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Students became more active, confident, and capable of critical thinking, while also showing improvement in relegious practices and Islamic character development. Various instructional methods such as discussions, question answer sessions, demonstrations, games, and group learning successfully created an interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Support from the school principal, teacher competence, and the boarding school environment served as major supporting factors, whereas limited facilities and learning media remained challenges that require further optimization. The implication of this study emphasies that the PAIKEMI model is strategic alternative for Islamic Religious Education, as it enhances not only academic achievement but also students’ religious character and social skills. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for educators and educational institutions in developing innovative, contextual, and value based learning practices

Abstract

This thesis examines the role of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in implementing character-based learning to improve students’ discipline at SDN 169 Bolang, Enrekang Regency. The study focuses on three main aspects: (1) the role of IRE teachers in applying character-based learning to enhance students’ discipline, (2) the character-based learning strategies employed by IRE teachers, and (3) efforts to overcome challenges in implementing character-based Islamic Religious Education that influence students’ disciplinary behavior. This research employed a qualitative approach with pedagogical and psychological perspectives. The study was conducted over a period of three months at SDN 169 Bolang, Enrekang Regency. Primary data sources included the school principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and school operators, while secondary data sources consisted of school documents, journals, articles, and other relevant references. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques involved data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was ensured through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The findings indicate that character-based learning through Islamic Religious Education at SDN 169 Bolang is effective in improving students’ discipline. Islamic Religious Education teachers play a central role as role models by integrating religious values into learning activities, implementing routine habituation, applying consistent rewards and educational consequences, and using active and reflective learning methods. Although challenges such as differences in students’ character, external environmental influences, and limited parental support were encountered, these obstacles were successfully addressed through strong collaboration among teachers, homeroom teachers, and parents, as well as through consistent and adaptive approaches. Consequently, the formation of students’ disciplinary character can be developed effectively and sustainably.

Abstract

This thesis examines: (a) how to design a local wisdom–based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning model appropriate for implementation at SD Negeri 129 Bunu, Anggeraja District, Enrekang Regency; (b) how the implementation of the model improves students’ understanding and practice of Islamic values; and (c) how effective the model is in improving learning outcomes and strengthening students’ Islamic character. The objectives of this study are: (a) to develop a PAI learning model design based on local wisdom suitable for school use; (b) to describe its implementation in improving students’ understanding and practice of Islamic values; and (c) to evaluate its effectiveness in learning outcomes and character building. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach conducted for three months at SD Negeri 129 Bunu, Anggeraja District, Enrekang Regency. Primary data sources include the principal, Islamic Education teachers, classroom teachers, and school staff, while secondary data sources include documents, journals, and literature. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The findings indicate that the local wisdom–based PAI learning model is effective in improving students’ understanding and practice of Islamic values. The integration of Islamic teachings with local cultural values such as mutual cooperation, respect, sharing, and responsibility makes learning more contextual and meaningful. Students become more active through discussions, group work, and social activities. This approach not only improves cognitive achievement but also strengthens Islamic character, including religiosity, discipline, empathy, and social awareness in both school and community life.

Abstract

The integration of digital technology has become increasingly important in promoting student engagement and improving learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (IRE). This study aimed to examine the utilization of digital technology in IRE learning, explore its contribution to students’ active participation, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors influencing its implementation at SDN 74 Bolang, Enrekang Regency, Indonesia. A qualitative case study approach was employed involving 12 participants consisting of one principal, six classroom teachers, one Islamic Religious Education teacher, and four parents. Data were collected over a three-month period through observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that digital technologies such as Smart TVs, Corombut, digital Qur’an applications, instructional videos, Google Classroom, and other e-learning platforms significantly increased students’ participation, motivation, interaction, and understanding of Islamic Religious Education materials. Supporting factors included teacher commitment, technological availability, and administrative support, whereas inhibiting factors consisted of limited infrastructure, unequal access to devices, internet connectivity issues, and varying levels of digital literacy. The study concludes that digital technology creates more engaging, interactive, and student-centered learning environments. Practically, the findings provide guidance for schools and policymakers in designing effective technology-based Islamic Religious Education programs that foster active student participation and meaningful learning experiences.
