Abstract

The increase in sales or revenue has a significant impact on economic growth, with creativity being the main driver to achieve it. One approach to fostering economic growth is through the creative economy, which can be leveraged by MSMEs in Central Kalimantan, an area rich in rattan potential. This study aims to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of the rattan craft industry, as well as explore its impacts on the surrounding community, including job creation, income generation, and the preservation of local culture. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. The research was conducted at Alexander Borneo, Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, with Mrs. Corry as the primary informant. The findings reveal that efficient distribution and extensive promotion are key factors driving economic growth. On the other hand, the main challenges faced by Alexander Borneo include fluctuations in production and the limitations of suppliers, who are not always able to meet market demand. This study provides insights into the importance of managing distribution and suppliers to ensure smooth MSME operations, as well as recommendations for enhancing business resilience through supplier diversification and improved production efficiency

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to assist junior high school teachers in creating digital learning media based on artificial intelligence and to enable them to be implemented independently in the teaching and learning process. This activity was carried out from September to November 2023 at SMP Negeri 16 Palangka Raya. The stages of implementing this service activity are: coordination with partners, Training Implementation, and Mentoring Implementation. This mentoring activity has succeeded in achieving the main goal, which is to improve the competence of SMP Negeri 16 Palangka Raya teachers in creating Digital Learning Media based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Teachers who previously only had basic computer and internet skills are now able to utilize various AI-based applications such as Google Workspace, Canva, and Microsoft Office 365 to create teaching modules and teaching materials that are interactive, engaging, and relevant to the needs of students in the digital era. This activity also succeeded in increasing the confidence of teachers in adopting new technology into the learning process. From the results of this activity, some of the challenges faced, such as the difference in the level of technology mastery among teachers, can be solved through direct guidance and intensive mentoring. Teachers feel helped by the existence of training modules, technical instructions, and support from students and resource persons. This shows that well-designed training, supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure, is able to have a positive impact on the development of educators' competencies.

Abstract

Tujuan dari riset ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana metode simulasi dapat menyebabkan meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa dan mengetahui kendala dalam saat diterapkannya metode di kelas XI MIPA SMAS PGRI 2 Denpasar pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain Kemmis & Taggart yang terdiri dari empat tahapan: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) pengamatan, dan (4) refleksi, dilanjutkan ke siklus berikutnya dengan teknik pengumpul data hasil belajar dengan teknik observasi melalui tes ujian tertulis yang dilakukan di akhir siklus 1 dan 2. Data dari riset ini dianalisis dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif melalui penilaian persentase peningkatan dan hasil belajar siswa. Dari hasil riset ini, dapat temukan terjadi adanya kenaikan nilai rata-rata siswa dari Prasiklus 63,8 ke 72,2 di siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 84 pada siklus II. Berdasarkan kenaikan hasil belajar siswa tersebut dapat disimpulkan jika pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode simulasi memberikan peningkatan pada minat siswa dalam pelajaran ekonomi terkait materi kebijakan moneterdengan yang dibuktikan dari adanya peningkatan dari tiap siklus.
