Abstract

Backgrund. "Use of Lactic Acid as an Acidifier in Feed Containing Probiotics for Feed Conversion and Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC) of Sentul Females". The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of using an acidifier (lactic acid) in feed containing probiotics on feed conversion and income over feed cost (IOFC) of female Sentul chickens. Materials and Methods. The material used was 60 female Sentul chickens aged 6 months that were reared for 2 months. This research was conducted with an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications, each replication consisting of 3 chickens. Treatment of adding acidifier in feed containing probiotics includes R0 (Basal ration without using an acidifier (BS), R1 (BS + Acidifier / lactic acid 0.5%), R2 (BS + Acidifier / lactic acid 1%), R3 (BS + Acidifier / lactic acid 1.5%). Results. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the use of an acidifier in feed containing probiotics had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on feed conversion and income over feed cost (IOFC) of female Sentul chickens. that the average feed conversion in treatment R0, R1, R2, R3 respectively is 3.03 ± 0.31; 3.00 ± 0.41; 3.07 ± 0.39; 2.84 ± 0.29, while for average income over feed cost (IOFC) in the treatment of R0, R1, R2, R3 respectively, namely 2,613.39 ± 1,537.32; 2,914.86 ± 2,161.92; 2,528.93 ± 1,504.26; 3,398.85 ± 1,498, 80. Conclusion. The conclusion of this study is that the use of acidifiers in feed containing probiotics has not been able to reduce feed conversion and increase IOFC of female Sentul chickens.

Abstract

Background. Research entitled "Concentrated Substitution with Snail Flour In Laying Commercial Chicken Feed On Weight And Thick Eggshell". The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of substitution of concentrate with conch flour on the weight and thickness of laying commercial chicken shells. Materials and methods. The research material consisted of 80 commercial laying hens. The feed ingredients used are concentrates, conch flour, corn and bran. The study was conducted experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 4 treatments and 5 replications, each repetition consisted of 4 laying hens. The treatments consisted of R0: Basal feed without conch flour substitution, R1: Basal feed with 5% conch flour substitution, R2: Basal feed with 10% conch flour substitution, R3: Basal feed with 15% conch flour substitution. Results. The results of the average eggshell weight of the treatments R0, R1, R2, R3 are 7.14; 6.45; 6.87; 6.90 and eggshell thickness is 0.27; 0.26; 0.26; 0.27. Based on the results of the study that the substitution of conch flour has no significant effect (P> 0.05) on the weight and thickness of egg laying hens. Conclusion. The substitution of concentrate with conch flour in laying commercial chicken feed up to 15% resulting in relatively equal quality weight and thickness of egg laying hens.

Abstract

Background. The research objective was to assess The Addition of an Acidifier in Feed Containing Probiotics of Egg Index and Egg Mass of Sentul Chickens. Materials and Methods. The material used was 60 female sentul chickens aged 5 months, with 4 treatments, 5 repetitions, and each experimental unit consists of 3 chicken. Treatment: R0 = basal feed; R1 = basal feed + probiotic with lactic acid acidifier 0.5%; R2 = basal feed + probiotic with lactic acid acidifier 1.0%; R3 = basal feed + probiotic with lactic acid acidifier 1.5%. Design with CRD (completely randomized design) and data analysis using ANOVA. Results. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on egg index and egg mass of Sentul chicken. Conclusion. It was concluded that the addition of lactic acid as an acidifier in feed containing probiotics up to a level 1,5% was not able to improve the quality of egg index and egg mass of Sentul chickens.

Abstract

Background. The large number of species spread across Indonesia cannot be separated from the domestication process which helps improve and maintain livestock species by humans to maintain food needs for animals such as the domestication of the Sentul chicken. Poor feed efficiency for Sentul chickens has caused Sentul chickens to depend on antibiotics and has been banned since 2018. Lactic acid is believed to be an alternative to antibiotics and has been studied for a long time. The liver is an organ that can represent the state of the chicken if lactic acid is identified as a hazardous substance through the content of SGPT and SGOT. This study aims to evaluate the use of lactic acid as an acidifier in sentul chickens found in the liver seen from the content of SGOT and SGPT. Materials and Methods. There were 60 Sentul chickens used in this study which measured the content of SGOT and SGPT. Results. The addition of lactic acid significantly (p>0.05) did not have a negative effect on the liver in both SGOT and SGPT at administration levels up to 2% (v/g). SGOT and SGPT in the negative control were 232.9 and 39.68 mmol/L while the addition of lactic acid was still in a range that was not too far away, namely for SGOT in the range of 234.6-281.2 mmol/L and SGPT 35.15-56.96 mmol/L. Conclusion. The use of lactic acid in Sentul chicken feed does not cause liver damage which can be seen in SGOT and SGPT levels.

Abstract

Latar Belakang. Upaya peternak ayam broiler dalam mengetahui produktivitas usahanya adalah dengan melakukan evaluasi manajemen peternakan, salah satunya dari segi ekonomi dan produksinya. Peternakan dengan sistem kandang closed house membutuhkan modal yang besar, sehingga diperlukan adanya sistem kemitraan untuk membangun bisnis peternakan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui produktivitas dari peternakan plasma sistem kandang closed house di PT. Cemerlang Unggas Lestari Kabupaten Kebumen, dengan melakukan analisis dari segi ekonomi maupun produksinya. Materi dan Metode. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan perbandingan dari segi produktivitas peternakan plasma PT Cemerlang Unggas Lestari kandang milik Ario Bhirowo dan kandang Mitra Sejahtera II menggunakan analisis ekonomi yang terdiri dari total biaya produksi, penerimaan, pendapatan, BEP Harga dan BEP produk, rasio R/C, PP, serta Indeks performa (IP) untuk analisis produksi. Hasil. Penelitian menunjukan bahwa kandang milik Ario Bhirowo dengan populasi 28.500 ekor memiliki total biaya produksi Rp 935.061.829,00 per periode, penerimaan dan pendapatan Rp 1.005.589.158,00 per periode dan Rp 70.527.329,00 per periode, BEP harga Rp 16.725,00/Kg dan BEP produk 52,298 Kg, rasio R/C 1,0754 dan PP 36,9 periode. Sedangkan kandang Mitra Sejahtera II denga populasi 62.800 ekor memiliki total biaya produksi Rp 2.001.845.495,00 per periode, total penerimaan dan pendapatan Rp 2.204.352.482,00 dan Rp 202.506.987,00 per periode pemeliharaan, BEP harga Rp 16.311,00/Kg dan BEP ekor 113.174 Kg, rasio R/C 1,1012 dan PP 22,7 periode. Simpulan. Dari segi analisis produksi kedua kandang menunjukan nilai IP yang tidak jauh berbeda, yaitu IP untuk kandang milik Ario Bhirowo adalah 368 dan kandang Mitra Sejahtera II adalah 369.

Abstract

Salah satu bahan pakan dengan sumber protein tinggi adalah bungkil kedelai. Namun, saat ini bahan pakan tersebut masih di impor dari luar negeri, yang menyebabkan bungkil kedelai memiliki harga yang relatif tinggi dan jumlahnya terbatas. Pengurangan ketergantungan akan bahan pakan bungkil kedelai dilakukan dengan mengeksplorasi bahan pakan lokal dengan keteenrsediaan jumlah yang memadai dan memiliki kandungan nutrient yang tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui titik isoelektrik, kandungan asam amino total dan kandungan zat antinutrisi tanin yang tepat pada pembuatan konsentrat protein daun Indigofera zollingeriana hasil dari ekstrasi dan isolasi protein. Tahapan ekstrasi dilakukan 2 tahap, NaOH 0,05 N pH 8 pada ekstrasi tahap pertama dan buffer asetat pH 4 pada tahap kedua. Penentuan isoelektrik, menurut menggunakan metode Yatno (2009) modifikasi high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) untuk kandungan asam amino total. Analisis protein kasar, menurut AOAC (2005) digunakan metode kjedhal, dan metode butanol-HCl digunakan pada uji kandungan zat antinutrisi tanin. Penelitian ini menghasilkan titik isoelektrik konsentrat protein pada daun Indigofera zollingeriana tercapai pada NaOH 0,05 N pH 8 pada ekstraksi pertama dan buffer fosfat pH 8 pada ekstraksi kedua menghasilkan endapan 0,108 g/ gramBKdaun dengan kandungan protein kasar sebesar 65,98% (lebih tinggi dari bungkil kedelai) serta kandungan asam amino yang lebih lengkap dari bungkil kedelai dan tidak memiliki kandungan tanin.
