Abstract

Satelit GLDAS-2.1 menjadi satelit yang direkomendasikan karena menghasilkan nilai NSE dan R2 yang jauh lebih baik dengan persentase sebesar 100% jika dibandingkan CFS-V2.Reservoir evaporation information is important to determine the significance of water loss due to evaporation which reaches 90-95% of the total water loss in the reservoir. The problem that is often faced with evaporation data is the lack of data availability. To overcome these problems, the GLDAS-2.1 and CFS-V2 satellites have the ability to estimate evaporation on the surface. The satellite has a high spatial and temporal resolution, wide-area coverage, near real-time data and recorded continuously, fast accessibility, and economical. However, satellite data can be used if it has a strong coherence with the observation data. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the suitability of the evaporation data from the GLDAS-2.1 and CFS-V2 satellites to the observational evaporation data and to recommend which satellite is appropriate for estimating evaporation so that it can be used as an alternative to the availability of evaporation data in the Wonorejo Reservoir. The evaluation carried out in this study uses statistical analysis at the Wonorejo Geophysical Station. Results of data calibration on the GLDAS-2.1 and CFS-V2 satellite produce a correction factor in the form of a polynomial regression equation. At the validation stage, the RMSE, NSE, R, and KR values showed better results that were initially 21% before being corrected, increasing to 79%. GLDAS-2.1 is still being recommended compares with CFS-V2, because it produces much better NSE and R2 values with precentage of 100%.

Abstract

This study specifically tries to see the effect of compensation on the employee performance of MSMEs with motivation as a mediating variable at the Sanan Tempe Chips Industry Center. The method in this study is a type of quantitative research using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with the WarpPLS approach. This study also uses the Sobel Test to analyze the significant value of the indirect relationship between compensation and employee performance mediated by motivation. In-depth interviews using questionnaires and direct observation were conducted to obtain primary research data. Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained through literature studies from various sources related to the research. A total of 60 respondents were selected as samples in this study using a simple random sampling technique. The results showed that the motivation variable had a significant effect as a mediating variable on the relationship between compensation and employee performance. This means that compensation has an indirect effect on employee performance through motivation.

Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of CORDEX-SEA precipitation data and applies bias correction for future rainfall projection in the Sutami Reservoir catchment, Indonesia, which has an important role in irrigation and flood control management. Observed rainfall data for 1995–2024 were compared with CORDEX-SEA outputs under the RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5 scenarios to assess model performance during the present-day period. The model generally overestimated observed rainfall, with average 10-day rainfall values of 86.09 mm/10-day (RCP 4.5) and 89.49 mm/10-day (RCP 8.5), compared to 56.19 mm/10-day from observations. Bias correction was performed using the Linear Scaling (LS) and Quantile Mapping (QM) methods because of their robustness and effectiveness in reducing systematic bias in precipitation data while preserving the temporal characteristics of climate model outputs. The corrected results showed substantial improvement, with the correlation coefficient increasing to 0.95, Nash–Sutcliffe Efficiency reaching 0.90, RMSE-standard deviation ratio decreasing to 0.32, and Percent Bias reducing to approximately 2–3%. Rainfall projections for 2025–2030 indicate a decreasing rainfall trend under both scenarios. This study demonstrates that LS and QM can effectively improve CORDEX-SEA precipitation data reliability for watershed-scale climate change and water resources assessments in Indonesia.

Abstract

The operational performance of aging irrigation infrastructure in tropical developing countries remains poorly understood at the zone level, since aggregate evaluation conceals inter-zonal disparities. This study evaluated the Wawotobi Irrigation System, a 42-year-old scheme served by Wawotobi Weir, encompassing 11,595 ha across five zones in Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia, using an integrated Water Delivery Performance Index (WDPI) and Water Evaluation and Planning (WEAP) framework under normal-year (Q50) and dry-year (Q80) conditions. Zone-disaggregated evaluation revealed a composite WDPI of 0.39 (poor), with adequacy ranging from 0.31 to 0.79 and reliability as low as 0.00 in two zones. Sensitivity analysis identified intake withdrawal capacity as the dominant constraint on reliability (sensitivity index = 2.81), whereas transmission loss coefficients showed uniformly low sensitivity. Multi-scenario simulation showed that Intake Optimization achieved the highest performance (WDPI of 0.76 under Q50 and 0.56 under Q80), while Downstream Priority reallocation proved counterproductive, reducing equity from 0.58 to 0.10 under Q50 by withholding supply from lower-priority zones. A strong adequacy-reliability correlation (r = 0.91 under Q50) explains why intake-focused interventions outperform distributional adjustments alone, identifying intake capacity enhancement as the most effective strategy for improving irrigation performance in aging tropical systems.

Abstract

Rainfed paddy fields relying entirely on rainfall are vulnerable to seasonal water deficits and limited to one planting season per year (Cropping Index/CI 100). This study analyzed the water balance of 77 ha of rainfed paddy land in Padang Kunik Village, Kuantan Singingi Regency, and formulated a technical storage solution to improve irrigation water availability. Water availability was calculated using the Simple Water Balance method with 20 years of rainfall data (2006–2025) from three rain gauges, while irrigation demand followed KP-01 guidelines. The Ripple (mass-curve) method determined the required Effective Storage Capacity. Results showed deficits in seven separate periods, with a cumulative peak deficit of 140,647.00 m³ in April I and a total required storage volume, after accounting for evaporation, seepage, and sediment losses, of 175,077.41 m³. A combination of an embung (172,800.00 m³ on 4.3 ha of non-productive land) and 4,562 m of long storage was planned, yielding a total volume of 177,362.00 m³, or 101% of the requirement, distributable to the paddy fields by gravity given the elevation difference. The proposed system is technically feasible to eliminate seasonal deficits and could raise the Cropping Index from CI 100 to CI 200.
