Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the vocabulary used by children in KB Aisyiyah III Baruga and describe the class classification of words spoken by children in KB Aisyiyah III Baruga. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study are in the form of vocabulary spoken by children in KB Aisyiyah III Baruga. Data collection uses the speaking and listening method while the data collection technique uses elicitation, recording, and note-taking techniques. The data collected were analyzed using psycholinguistic methods, then data analysis was carried out through data identification, data presentation, and concluding. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be stated that the number of vocabulary used by children 0-6 years is different from one another. The types of Indonesian vocabulary used by children are 27 types of vocabulary that refer to concrete or real things. Children's vocabulary covers almost all classes of Indonesian words, namely nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, numerals, prepositions, and conjunctions. However, the dominant a word-class used is nouns. Keywords: vocabulary, word class, children Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kosakata yang digunakan oleh anak-anak di KB Aisyiyah III Baruga dan mendeskripsikan klasifikasi kelas kata yang diucapkan oleh anak-anak di KB Aisyiyah III Baruga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kosakata yang dituturkan oleh anak-anak di KB Aisyiyah III Baruga. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode cakap dan simak, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik elisitasi, rekam, dan catat. Data-data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode psikolinguistik. Selanjutnya, analisis data dilakukan melalui identifikasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat dikemukakan bahwa jumlah kosakata yang digunakan anak 0-6 tahun berbeda antara satu dengan yang lain. Jenis kosakata bahasa Indonesia yang digunakan anak sebanyak 27 jenis kosakata yang mengacu pada hal-hal konkret atau nyata. Kosakata anak mencakup hampir seluruh kelas kata bahasa Indonesia, yaitu nomina, verba, adjektiva, adverbia, pronomina, numeralia, preposisi, dan konjungsi. Namun, kelas kata yang dominan digunakan adalah nomina. Kata kunci: kosakata, kelas kata, anak-anak

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the analysis of the Magena short story from the aspects of syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. The method used in this research is descriptive. The source of data in this research is the short story Magena by Ida Fitri which is analyzed based on syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic aspects. syntactic aspects. The results showed that Magena's short story consisted of 22 main sequences. In the transformation scheme, it is seen that the initial situation occurred at Mike and Magena's marriage. The filter ordeal is seen in the determination of the honeymoon vacation, the main trial is the fall of a flower vase, the triumph/destruction trial is seen in the death of Magena, and the ending situation is seen in Mike's sadness. Semantic aspect analysis shows that Magena's short story consists of 3 characters, namely Magena, Mike, and Aisha. The place where the incident took place was at La Sabira Hill, the Alhambra, and the Palace. The time it happened was when Mike and Magena had their honeymoon vacation. Analysis of the pragmatic aspect: it appears that the speaker/viewer is an outside narrator. The point of view used is the point of view of omniscient (Magenda), all-knowing (Mike and Aisha). The utterances used are direct sentences and narration, precise diction, according to the rules, and commonly used.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh data empirik terkait peningkatan keterampilan menulis populer mahasiswa menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2022. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 1 pada Program Studi Ilmu Hukum Kelas H Fakultas Hukum Universitas Negeri Gorontalo yang memprogramkan mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia. Tahapan penelitian dilaksanakan berdasarkan model John Elliot yang menggunakan dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, tes menulis popular, wawancara, dan dokumnetasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keterampilan mahasiswa pada setiap siklus. Pada siklus I pada siklus I, hasil menunjukkan peningkatan yaitu terdapat 14 mahasiswa yang mencapai kategori nilai baik dengan persentase 43,75%. Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan yang lebih baik lagi yaitu, 93,75%. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa pendekatan saintifik dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu pendekatan dalam upaya peningkatan keterampilan menulis populer bagi mahasiswa.

Abstract

This community service is conducted through The Thematic Community Service Program “Village Building”. This program is related to Green Moral Concept by applying nature conservancy strategy by people at Diloniyohu and Sidomulyo Selatan Village, Boliyohuto District, Gorontalo Regency, to accomplish the achievement of SDGs. The implementation of the program is conducted together by the university students, local communities and government. The main objective of this Thematic Program is to increase the community’s understanding and attitude about nature conservancy through Green Moral strategy. This strategy is impelemented by doing socialization and education to community as a part of character education to build their awareness to conserve environment which is in line with SDGs program. This Thematic Community Service Program has a beneficial effect to assist local government and community in making policies and planning various program in relation to the strategy to conserve the nature and village environment. The program is implemented thorugh the following methods, preparation, briefing, and implementation. The result of the program has been accomplished by forming “Youth and Community for Environmental Care”, arrange the frontyard by growing bamboo hydroponic plants, ecobricks, and distributing stickers “Care the Environment” to people as an effort to raise their awareness of conserving the nature and environment. Abstract

Reforestation is one of the important activities that must be implemented conceptually in dealing with the environmental crisis. This reforestation needs to be done through environmental education. Reforestation can be done if there is a will from each individual, for example the will of PKK women. This will will be the basis for implementing the reforestation program in Motinelo Village, Tabongo District, Gorontalo Regency. Departing from the description above, it is necessary to do community service, namely empowering PKK women in environmental greening activities in Motinelo Village, Tabongo District, Gorontalo Regency. Reforestation is very useful in overcoming various degradations in environmental quality by using the main material is the use of plants that are very functional in the biotic environment of the environment. The purpose of this service is to increase awareness of PKK women about the importance of carrying out environmental greening activities in order to maintain environmental quality and protection in the Motinelo Village, Tabongo District, Gorontalo Regency. This community empowerment activity aims to carry out reforestation activities through tree planting to improve environmental quality. In addition, this activity also aims to increase public awareness about environmental conservation. The environmental reforestation activity that will be carried out hopes that problems regarding the declining quality of the environment can be overcome by involving community participation. This is the essence of community empowerment, which can provide benefits to the community, especially PKK women in terms of environmental management. Another benefit that can be felt by the community is the increased awareness of PKK mothers on the importance of protecting the environment through reforestation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis resensi novel mahasiswa pada mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Ruang lingkup penelitian ini dibatasi pada penulisan resensi novel Romansa Dikta dan Hukum karya Dhia`an Fara dengan memperhatikan delapan prinsip-prinsip penulisan resensi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 175 mahasiswa dengan sampel penelitian 119 mahasiswa. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes tertulis menulis resensi novel. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik tes. Penilaian terhadap kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis resensi novel adalah menggunakan teknik analitik, kemudian data-data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian meunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis resensi novel mahasiswa pada mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia Universitas Negeri Gorontalo mencapai kriteria kemampuan klasikal 85% dengan persentase kemampuan 86,55%. Jadi, mahasiswa pada mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia Universitas Negeri Gorontalo tergolong mampu dalam menulis resensi novel.

Abstract

Literacy can be defined as a complex ability that consists of the ability to read, write, the ability to retrieve and interpret types of texts and the ability of students to think using existing sources of knowledge, both in visual, print and audiovisual forms. Basic literacy skills can be obtained by reading, writing, listening, counting and speaking. In this service, it is specialized in reading literacy with the aim of increasing children's interest in reading. The activities carried out such as the introduction of basic literacy and reading interest; literacy movements in the form of reading children's stories, reading poetry, and reading rhymes; and playing with literacy themes, such as connecting stories and composing words can be used as activities that help foster children's interest in reading in order to support the National Literacy Movement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan huruf kapital dalam menulis teks narasi yang ditulis oleh mahasiswa IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari teks narasi yang ditulis oleh mahasiswa Jurusan Manajemen Keuangan Syariah IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo semester genap tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat delapan indikator penggunaan huruf kapital yang belum dipahami oleh Mahasiswa Jurusan Manajemen Keuangan Syariah Semester Genap IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, yaitu penggunaan huruf kapital pada huruf pertama awal kalimat, unsur nama orang, awal kalimat dalam petikan langsung, nama jabatan dan pangkat, nama geografi, nama jenis, nama hari dan bulan, dan penulisan judul. Kesalahan paling banyak terjadi pada penulisan nama jenis dan penulisan judul, sedangkan kesalahan paling sedikit terjadi pada penulisan huruf awal unsur nama orang.

Abstract

Bahasa baku merupakan salah satu ragam bahasa yang dapat dijadikan standar untuk kepentingan nasional, seperti pendidikan atau acara resmi kenegaraan lainnya. Bahasa baku  menjadi salah satu pokok pembelajaran pada setiap jenjang pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif.  Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk membantu anak-anak dalam mengenal kosakata baku, meningkatkan pemahaman anak dalam membedakan kosakata baku dan tidak baku, dan membangun kolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak. Media visual dibuat oleh tim pengabdi dengan tujuan untuk mempermudah pengenalan kosakata baku dan tidak baku kepada anak-anak usia sekolah dasar di Desa Bolihuangga.  Berdasarkan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang telah dilakukan, terlihat bahwa pemahaman terkait bahasa baku dan tidak baku bagi anak-anak usia sekolah dasar, khususnya di Desa Bolihuangga masih rendah. Hal ini terlihat pada wajah anak-anak yang tampak bingung ketika mendengar istilah baku dan tidak baku. Namun, setelah dijelaskan dan ditunjukkan beberapa perbedaan antara bahasa baku dan tidak baku oleh tim pengabdi, terlihat beberapa anak sudah mulai antusias untuk menjawab setiap tebak-tebakan yang disampaikan oleh tim pengabdi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze spelling patterns in the form of spelling errors in student speech texts. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The source of data in this research is the speech texts of students of the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Semester 5, Faculty of Letters and Culture, Gorontalo State University in the 2022/2023 academic year. The data in this study are sentences that contain spelling mistakes in accordance with EYD in the form of letter usage, word writing, punctuation usage, and writing of absorbed elements. The number of speech texts in the research is 40 speech texts. The data collection techniques used in this research are documentation, reading technique, and note-taking technique. The data analysis technique in this research goes through several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, data inference and verification, and final conclusion. The results of this study show that there are three forms of spelling errors in speech texts written by students, namely the use of letters, word writing, and the use of punctuation marks. The errors in the use of letters include errors in the use of capital letters as many as 20 errors consisting of errors in writing titles, geographic names, and greetings. Meanwhile, there were 5 italicization errors consisting of foreign language writing errors. Word writing errors in the form of preposition writing errors consist of 10 errors. Punctuation errors include 5 period errors and 27 comma errors.
