Abstract

PT Vitrama Properti is one of the private companies that run on the mining field, namely the mining of natural resources of granites. In this study, the researcher observes the cost of explosion used by PT Vitrama Properti in its mining of granites. According to the economic analysis, to determine the cost of explosion need to count on the breakeven point. The method employed in this research is to analyze the breakeven point. Breakeven point is a calculation used to know the volume of explosion rate so that the total income and total cost will be at the breakeven point. The data collection is conducted from December 2016 to February 2017, including the data of drilling cost, explosion usage cost, the salary of employees and contract employees, excavators and dump trucks fuel cost, equipment ownership cost, and the specification of explosion tools and equipment. The result of the data analysis shows that the total explosion cost paid by PT Vitrama Properti in January 2017 is Rp.1,041,936,063,00 and the total income earned is Rp.1,287,134,940.00, so the total profit made is Rp.245,198,976.00. Whereas, the breakeven point of PT Vitrama Properti in January 2017 is on the explosion volume rate of 23,109.08 m3 with the total earning and total cost is Rp.841,170,781.00. One of the significant factors to reduce the cost of explosion is to improve the geometry of explosion and to make the effective use of ANFO. After implementing the improved geometry of the explosion, the breakeven point is also improved from the volume rate of 23,109.08 m3 to the volume rate of 21,090.35 m3. Also, to increase the income from the explosion process can be done by increasing the sale of granite from the explosion (boulder) into 7,072.17 m3 with the total income of Rp.257,426,988.00, as well as by increasing the total product sale of 24,752.59 m3 with the total income obtained of Rp.900,994,458.00.

Abstract

PT Bukit Asam (Persero), Tbk is a state-owned enterprise that operates in mining industry, particularly coal mining that has 4 main mining location. One of them is an east pit 3 of Banko Barat mining managed by PT SumberMitra Jaya. Mining process is exploited by using open pit methode which excavate overburden material using load-haulage equipment and transport system. Load-haulage equipments are used excavate, and to load overburden material, and transport system are used to carry overburden in disposal. This whole processes known as mechanical mining system. However, the actual condition of load-haulage productivity was only 84.56 % compared to determined target that caused overburden remova volume not to be achieved in amount of 15.44 %. Otherwise, evaluation of factors that affected performance of load-haulage equipment and transport system need to be conducted. Evaluation was conducted by calculating productivity, work efficiency, match factor of equipment, and load–haulage geometry. The data collected was cycle time, effective utilization, kind of material overburden and load-haulage geometry to get the value. Then, the collected data processed by using formula of mechanical soil movement and analysed based on literatures that related to the problem. The causing factors of load-haulage productivity in not achievement of determined target after evaluation conducted was low of work efficiency, amount of delay time in the amount of 1.19 minute caused by narrow transport roads, and low of match factor of equitment in the amount of 0.92. The alternatives that can be carried out to increase load-haulage productivity is increasing effective work time and widing transport road. Effective work time of transport system should be leveled up from 15.237 hour to 15.682 hour in fleet I and fleet II, and in fleet III should be leveled up from 14.122 hour to 14.567 hour. Thus, the total of transport system productivity will increase to 576,503.83 bcm/month from 486,247.59 bcm/month.

Abstract

Washing stage of tin ore is done the separation process valuable minerals of tin ore with mineral impurities. This process can be done using jig such as Pan American Jig. The length of stroke is one of the parameters that affect the performance of the jig with high recovery of tin ore leaching. The experiment was carried out by washing experiment using Pan American Jig scale laboratory on 6 times including variation of stroke length 15 mm, 12 mm, 10 mm, 8 mm, 6 mm, and 5 mm with 19 washing sample. The collection and processing of data includes the weight and grade in each of the feed, concentrates and tailings. Determination of recovery value of each experiment is done through calculation between the grade and weight produced by each sample from washing process. Minerals with a high CC value will be very easily separated by the method of Gravity Concentration for example mineral cassiterite with quartz. The highest recovery was obtained in experiment 1 of 68.848% with a stroke length of 15 mm and the lowest recovery was in experiment 6 of 45.801%. However, the highest grade gain was in experiment 6 of 1.3246% and the lowest grade in experiment 1 was 1.2438%. The higher stroke length made greater recovery value produced, the greater recovery made the lower grade obtained.

Abstract

In the layer of overburden stripping activities in Pit Taman attainment production amounted about 82% of the production target set in the amount of 925,187.2 BCM of production target of 1,120,000 BCM. This is due to the high resistance factor affecting work efficiency so that production is produced by means of unloading and transportation have not been able to achieve the production target. The data obtained in the field in the form of a data cycle time tools obtained from the calculation of the time distribution of each trencher-fit to perform the excavation, swing content, swing empty and loading and conveyance maneuvering, loading, road to disposal, dumping and back to front as well as the calculation of effective working hours will do the calculation of the amount of productivity. After calculating the theoretically obtained by 1,656,454.08 BCM of overburden production for excavator-unloading and BCM 1,405,890.9 for conveyance. To get productivity achieve production targets then do the optimization tools work plan is to optimize. Optimizing plan working hours adjustment tools and repair equipment capacity are obtained overburden production amounted to 1,914,890.2 BCM. As for after the technical review of the excavator-unloading and conveyance in stripping overburden at Pit Taman in September 2016 on the calculation of production trencher-load transports that have been implemented should only use 3 units of excavator-unloading is 3 units of PC Komatsu 2000 for with the use of 3 units with improvements and performance optimization tools as well as the factors that influence has reached its production target of 1,670,167.71 BCM and for the use of conveyances using Komatsu HD 785 20 units with a production target of 1,615,712.8 BCM.

Abstract

The mining industry is in need of a good planning so that the planned production targets can beachieved at minimum cost and revenue optimally, and can generate cash flow that will maximizerevenue each year over the life of the mine took place. Tin ore mining economic studies based onthe technical design data, so that the determination of the cost will be considered by the company.Components of the economic study of tin ore mining in terms of costing, revenue from the sale ofproducts, the calculation of cash flow, net present value, internal rate of return, payback period,sensitive analysis. Based on the results of studies on tin ore mine PT Mitra Stania Prima BlockKemingking acquired total reserves of tin ore amounted to 2.801,531 tons, by applying the method ofmining Open Pit Mining. From the economic feasibility calculations assuming the bank rate of 12%was obtained net present value of Rp 11.810.941.184.00, internal rate of return of 19.04%, and apayback period of 4.78 months for 2 years. Based on these results the project of PT Mitra StaniaPrima Block Kemingking feasible to continue.

Abstract

Tin ore mining activities in Front 2 of 2.2 Tempilang Large Mine was operated by business partnerof PT Timah (Persero) Tbk, PT Bahtera Sarindo Utama used Open Pit Mining Method with mechanicalsystems. Open Pit Mining Method would eventually form a large basin, so that would become a placefor air accumulation at the base of mine site, applied drainage system used Repressive KuruativeDrainage System by allowing water to pour into the mine and then concentrated on the front sump andthey would be removed from the mine using pumping systems. Rainfall data used included amaximum rainfall data with period of 2005-2014, the calculation of rainfall plans used Gumbeldistribution and calculation of rainfall intensity with Mononobe Equation, but for the period of rain istaken with the 2-year period. From the research, the existing sump had capability to retain water with avolume of 79.5 m3 and existing pumps had the capacity of 86.4 m3/h, while the total water poured inthe mine was 2172.588 m3/day with total of catchman area was 64085.442 m2. To improve drainagesystem performance on Front 2 of 2.2 Tempilang Large Mine, dimensional sump need to be repairedwith a capacity of 1267.336 m3 to bring outwater volume plan outside of work time (14 hours) and analternative pump was add 1 unit of recommendation pump with the same type such as Mitshubisi6D16 gravel pump (engine) with a pump capacity of 154.8 m3/h, but the actual pump was still beingused so that with the use of two unit pump acquired total pump capacity was 241.2 m3/h with thelifetime of pumping was 9 hours to remove the water 2172.588 m3/per day.

Abstract

Eastern Extension of Pit Air Laya Limoa Mine was one of Air Laya Mine site that has coal miningbusiness license owned by PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. Excavator and truck method were applied inthat mine site. Mechanical equipments used in this site were 1 unit of Komatsu PC 800 SE Excavatorand 6 units of HINO LM 500 Dump Truck. Coal production target in Eastern Extension of Pit Air LayaLimoa Mine in October 2015 was 180.000 ton, but the production capacity of load haul equipment was157.179,39 ton with the work time efficiency at 14,07 hour/day and load haul equipment productiononly 129.245,20 ton with the work time efficiency at 13,97 hour/day. Therefore, evaluation wasnecessary throughout factors affecting working performance of mechanical equipment to achieve thetarget. Evaluation in achieving the target of coal production was conducted by calculating theproductivity, work efficiency and match factor. The data required to obtain these values includedequipment cycle time, the effective work time effeciency, the amount of bucket loading, density andcoal swell factor. Then the data was processed by using formula of mechanical soil removal andanalyzed based on literature related to the issue. After the evaluation of factors affectingperformance of mechanical equipments then work time effeciency corrected to be 15,61 hours/dayand additional of 6 to 7 unit of conveyance. There were changes in work time effeciency between loadhaul equipments and conveyance from 0,83 to 0,97. Production capabilities generated load haulequipment after being evaluated was 192.291,14 tons and production capabilities of conveyances,after the evaluation amounted to 188.236,03 tons.

Abstract

Unit produksi SHP PT BUMAKO Site Pemali merupakan mitra Timah Tbk yang mengolah sisa hasil pengolahan timah untuk diproduksi kembali berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri No. 1827 tahun 2018. Proses pengolahan SHP timah primer di PT BUMAKO menggunakan alat penggerusan berupa Rod Mill dengan proses basah dan proses pencucian menggunakan alat konsentrasi berupa shaking table. Produk hasil dari Rod Mill Upgrading diharapkan minimal 50% berukuran ≥60 mesh. Namun, hasil ukuran penggerusan aktual di PT BUMAKO hanya mencapai 30% dari target. Hal ini disebabkan belum adanya penetapan variabel pada alat tersebut. Akibat rendahnya efektivitas penggerusan tersebut mengakibatkan biaya produksi tinggi dan terganggunya proses konsentrasi, oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian menggunakan alat Rod Mill dengan memvariasikan 3 variabel sebanyak 12 kali percobaan yaitu, waktu penggerusan sebanyak 2 variasi (1,5 jam dan 2 jam), jumlah batang rod sebanyak 3 variasi (25, 23 dan 21 batang) dan volume air sebanyak 2 variasi (140 L dan 150 L air). Hasil pada 12 kali percobaan menunjukkan persentase lolos tertinggi sebesar 59,25% dan persentase lolos terendah sebesar 41,63%. Variabel penggerusan yang paling efektif yakni waktu penggerusan selama 2 jam, jumlah batang rod sebanyak 25 batang dan volume air sebanyak 140 L dengan produk persentase lolos mesh 60 sebesar 59,25%.

Abstract

Primary TB Batubesi Site a subsidiary of PT Timah Tbk, processes primary tin feed stockpile and SHP of oxide clay type using various tools, including the Wet Belt Low Intensity Magnetic Separator (WBLIMS). Currently, WBLIMS can only produce tin concentrate with a grade of 0.5-2% and a recovery of 5-8%, falling below the company's target of 8% grade and 15% recovery (XRF Test). This research conducted eight experiments with variations in feed types and rates. The WBLIMS feed from the stockpile has a Sn content of 0.62%, resulting in a tin concentrate with 1.21% Sn and a recovery of 7.05%. On the other hand, the feed from SHP has a Sn content of 0.61%, resulting in a tin concentrate with 0.95% Sn and a recovery of 5.11%. The type and rate of feed affect the increase in Sn grade and recovery. At low feed rates, the feed material yields lower Sn grade and recovery, while at high feed rates, the results are higher. Increasing the feed rate for WBLIMS from the stockpile leads to a decrease in Sn grade and recovery, whereas in the processing of SHP, the Sn grade increases but recovery varies. Experiments F1L1 and F2L3 yield the most optimal Sn grade and recovery, with F1L1 having a Sn grade of 2.28% and recovery of 11.54%, and F2L3 having a Sn grade of 2.87% and recovery of 9.24%. Although not reaching the company's target, these experimental results can enhance the Sn grade and recovery compared to the previous setup.

Abstract

Bidang Pengolahan Mineral Processing Unit of PT Timah Tbk operates in the field of tin ore processing. The problem at the research location is that there is no standard operating standard for the Primary Jig tool for washing Processing Waste (SHP). The aim of this research is to determine the settings for the Primary Jig variables in order to obtain optimal levels, Sn recovery and looses. The research method used is Grafity Concentration. The feed used is SHP from KIP Mitra Matras. The experiment was carried out 21 times. Each experiment used 7 variations of Primary Jig stroke speed (300 rpm, 350 rpm, 400 rpm, 450 rpm, 500 rpm, 550 rpm, 600 rpm) and Bed thickness (70 mm, 80 mm, 90 mm). Grain Counting Analysis shows a feed Sn content value of 9.96%. GCA analysis shows that the minerals in the bait are cassiterite, ilmenite, monazite, zircone, pyrite, siderite, limonite, tourmaline, quartz and iron rust. Low stroke speed results in high concentrate Sn content with low Sn recovery and little looses wasted and vice versa. A high Bed thickness results in low Sn concentrate content, high Sn recovery, and a lot of looses is wasted, and vice versa. Setting the optimal Primary Jig operating variables with variations in punch speed of 450 rpm and Bed thickness of 80 mm obtained a Sn content of 41.36% and a Sn recovery of 60.11%. Based on the results of calculating the degree of liberation, the highest average value of the degree of liberation was obtained at mesh -100, indicating that the SHP KIP Mitra Matras concentrate is classified as having a fine grain size.
