Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the learning media, namely Sparkol Videoscribe learning videos, in improving students understanding of trigonometry material. This research falls under the category of descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Pelemahan. The sample consisted of 28 students from a single class. The sample was selected based on their knowledge of trigonometry learning material.The instruments used in this research were students pre-test and post-test results, which were used to analyze the effectiveness of the Saprkol Videoscribe learning media/ the data analyze technique used in this research involved first reducing the data, then presenting it according to the need of the research, and finally drawing conclusions based on the data, based on the test results, student were grouped into three categories : high, medium, and low. The improvement in students understanding can be seen through the results of the students post test grouping specifically, whether there are changes in each students category. If there are change, then this research can be aid to improve students understanding of trigonometry material through the use of Sparkol Videoscribe learning videos as the learning media .In this research, each subject showed improvement through the results of the pre-test and post-test, as well as in the categorization of their level of understanding. However, this research is not without its limitations, and threfore the future researchers are expected to explore information more thoroughly and presentthe data more effectively

Abstract

Modul merupakan media pembelajaraan yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, modul biasanya disebut sebagai bahan belajar sendiri (self material learning). Sebagian besar siswa memiliki kendala ketika belajar matematika, karena menurut siswa matematika merupakan ilmu yang sulit untuk dipelajari. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti mengembangkan modul dengan mengkaitkan materi dengan kehidupan nyata siswa. Salah satu pendekatan dalam matematika yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan nyata adalah dengan pendekatan REACT (Realiting, Experiencing, Applyinh, Cooperating, Transfering). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 2 Banyakan dengn jumlah siswa 21 siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran modul yang valid, praktis, dan efektif bagi siswa. Model pengembangan yang digunakan peneliti adalah ADDIE yang meliputi 5 tahapan yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Teknik pengumpula data yang dilakukan oleh peneliti dengan memberikan angket validasi kepada para validator, memberikan angket respon untuk mengetahui kepraktisan media, dan memberikan soal pre-test dan post-test. Dari hasil validasi yang telah dilakukan peneliti diperoleh presentase sebesar dari ahli materi, dari ahli media, dan dari ahli praktisi. Berdasarkan dari hasil validasi yang telah dilakukan media dinyatakan sangat layak untuk digunakan. Sedangkan kepraktisan media diperoleh presentase dengan kategori praktis. Dan hasil validasi media dikatakan efektif diperoleh nilai rata-rata .

Abstract

Floods, which cause a lot of damage, are a natural phenomenon that often occurs during the rainy season. Flood occurs because the discharge entering the channel exceeds the channel capacity. If the discharge data in the upstream area that will enter the channel is known, we can determine the flow behavior in the downstream area using a mathematical model. In this study, we proposed using simplified Saint Venant equations to simulate the flow routing in a prismatic channel with a rectangular section. This model is solved numerically using the finite difference method. Here, the numerical scheme used succeeds in simulating the flow behavior in the channel due to the discharge entering it. The simulation results show that the discharge entering the channel will propagate downstream with decreasing discharge quantity. Information on the amount of discharge at locations along the channel is useful as supporting data for flood control and prevention systems that will be conveyed to residents along the channel.Keywords: flood routing; prismatic channel; Saint Venant Equations; finite difference method. AbstrakBanjir yang menimbulkan banyak kerusakan merupakan fenomena alam yang sering terjadi pada musim hujan. Banjir terjadi karena debit yang masuk ke dalam kanal melebihi kapasitas kanalnya. Jika data debit di daerah hulu yang akan masuk ke dalam kanal diketahui, maka kita dapat menentukan perilaku aliran di daerah hilir dengan menggunakan model matematika. Dalam studi ini, kami mengusulkan untuk menggunakan persamaan Saint Venant yang disederhanakan untuk mensimulasikan penelusuran aliran pada saluran prismatik dengan penampang persegi panjang. Model ini diselesaikan secara numerik dengan menggunakan metode beda hingga. Di sini, skema numerik yang digunakan berhasil mensimulasikan perilaku aliran pada saluran akibat debit yang masuk. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa debit yang masuk ke saluran akan merambat ke hilir dengan kuantitas debit yang semakin berkurang. Informasi jumlah debit di lokasi sepanjang saluran ini berguna sebagai data pendukung pada sistem pengendalian dan pencegahan banjir yang akan disampaikan kepada penduduk di sepanjang kanal.Kata kunci: penelusuran banjir; saluran prismatik; persamaan Saint Venant; metode beda hingga.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the characteristics of algebraic problem solving based on students' learning styles on PISA content type questions change and the study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a population of students at SMA Negeri 1 Kediri. Subjects were selected using a learning style questionnaire, resulting in three research subjects, each representing visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. The research instruments included a learning style questionnaire, PISA-type content questions, and a questionnaire change and relationship Level 4 with a moderate level of difficulty, along with interview guidelines. The analysis of problem-solving characteristics is based on Polya's problem-solving indicators: understanding the problem, planning a solution, implementing the plan, and reexamining the solution. The results showed that subjects with a kinesthetic learning style were able to complete all stages of problem-solving and achieved the highest score compared to other learning styles. These findings also indicate that PISA content-type questions change, and relationships reveal the characteristics of students' algebraic problem solving based on learning styles.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Guru matematika SMP di Kabupaten Kediri masih menghadapi tantangan dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan. Pembelajaran cenderung berorientasi pada hasil, bukan proses berpikir siswa. Hal ini berdampak pada rendahnya minat dan identitas matematis siswa. Tujuan: Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberdayakan guru MGMP SMP Kabupaten Kediri melalui pelatihan joyful learning berbasis praktik nyata dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode: Metode pelaksanaan terdiri atas tiga tahap: (1) need assessment untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan guru; (2) pelatihan berbasis praktik yang melibatkan simulasi pembelajaran dan micro teaching; dan (3) pendampingan reflektif. Hasil: Kegiatan ini menghasilkan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang bermakna dan menyenangkan. Sebanyak 91% peserta mampu mengintegrasikan strategi joyful learning dengan konteks materi matematika yang diajarkan. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan berbasis praktik terbukti efektif meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis dan kreativitas guru dalam menerapkan joyful learning pada pembelajaran matematika di SMP.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the scaffolding-based Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method through a pretest - posttest control group design. The research sample was determined using purposive sampling, namely class XI DKV 2 as the experimental class with the scaffolding-based RME learning model and class XI DKV 1 as the control class with the conventional learning model. Research data were collected through a mathematical problem-solving ability test in the form of essay questions. Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, and N-gain analysis. Based on the descriptive statistics results, the average post-test score for the experimental class was 76.03 and the control class had an average of 65.53. The results of the independent sample t-test showed a significant value of 0.000, indicating that sig. (2-tailed) < α=0.05. Thus, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted, meaning that the scaffolding-based RME learning model was effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Based on the observation results, it was found that students still have difficulty in solving problems, especially in story problems that require contextual reasoning, the methods used by teachers have not been able to fully encourage students to think critically. The purpose of this study is to apply the RME model to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. This study was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Semen, with a sample taken of class X AKL 1 totaling 32 students in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test. The results of the analysis show an increase in students' mathematical problem-solving abilities by applying the RME learning model, especially in story problems on exponential function material. In this case, students are actively involved in group discussions to identify the problems given. Teachers also play an optimal role in each stage of learning the RME model. Thus, the application of the RME model is quite effective and provides positive results for mathematics learning.

Abstract

Mathematics instruction in high school continues to face the challenge of low student achievement, particularly regarding the abstract concept of tangents to circles. This situation indicates that the learning process has not fully connected mathematical concepts to students’ real-life contexts, resulting in suboptimal conceptual understanding. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest experimental design. The research subjects were 33 students in class XI-6 at SMA Negeri 3 Kediri. Data collection was conducted through pretest and posttest assessments. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, a normality test, a paired-sample t-test, and an N-Gain test. The results showed that the average pretest score of 44.55 increased to 80.00 on the posttest. The results of the paired-sample t-test showed a significance level of less than 0.05, indicating a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after the intervention. The N-Gain value of 0.62 falls into the moderate category. These findings suggest that the implementation of the RME model with the CTL approach is effective in improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes and helps students better understand the concept of tangent lines to a circle.
