Abstract

This study aims to assess the the need of green open space based on area, population, and oxygen needs in Tabalong regency, and aims to assess the direction of public green open space development of green open space needs in Tabalong regency. This research was conducted in Tabalong regency, South Kalimantan. This study used a quantitative method which emphasize to green open space data analyze based on area, population, and oxygen needs. The result showed that the need for Green Open Space in Tabalong based on area is 71.067 ha, based on population is 510,18 ha, and based on oxygen needs is 20.381 ha. Public Green Open Space Needs in Tabalong Regency based on area, population, and oxygen needs is still unfullfiled. Therefore the approach of Green Open Space development should be refers to Green Base Coefficent (KDH), conversion of non-productive open space to public green open space, and reforestation.

Abstract

Based on statistical data (Banjar District in Figures, 2016), it was found that there was an increase in population density from 2013 to 115 people / km2, by 2014 117 people / km2 and 2015 by 119 souls / km2. To support human needs and activities, it takes a lot of space, especially built space. The purpose of this study is to analyze the public perception about the role of green space on environmental comfort in RTH Ratu Zalecha Square and analyze the role of RTH Queen Square Zalecha to the comfort of environment based on the index of discomfort. The research method used is survey method and quantitative descriptive analysis. The survey method aims to observe the condition of research sites such as physical condition and RTH characteristics. The survey also aims to determine the point of data collection, identify the green space structure, and take the microclimate primary data. The result of this research shows that the level of public perception on the comfort of RTH Alun-Alun Ratu Zalecha has positive effect for 84 respondent (87,5%) and 12 respondents (12,5%).  This indicates that H0 is accepted which presumes that there is positive effect of RTH of Queen of Zalecha against the comfort of environment and H1 is rejected and Chi-Square calculation shows that X2H value is 96,47 bigger than X2 table 5% that is 5,991 so that H0 is accepted, meaning there is a significant difference between the three levels of public perception towards the comfort of the environment with the highest level of positive perception is in the category of a very influential role and affect the comfort of the environment. Based on observation data at the study location, the average daily discomfort index at location I (on the surface), location I (1.4 meters), location II (1.4 meters), location III (1.4) meters) between 80,2-81,7 which is in the interval of the value of DI> 80, which means that 100% of respondents stated that all research locations in the category were uncomfortable for humans.

Abstract

The assessment of the success rate of reclamation uses a reference assessment of PERMENHUT 60 of 2009 with scoring of three criteria, namely: Land arrangement with a score of 30%, control of erosion and sedimentation with a score of 20%, and revegetation with a score of 50%. The reclamation success rate assessment result based on the total score is both >80, medium 60-80, and ugly <60. The implementation of reclamation of mining business permits based on the calculation of the total value obtained a value of 48.5 which shows that the reclamation results are included in the ugly criteria (reclamation results are unacceptable and intensive maintenance is needed), so it is necessary to carry out reclamation repairs. The reclamation criteria that received a less assessment was the implementation of revegetation which had the lowest value, namely, 14 out of 50 weights and erosion and sedimentation control had a value of 12 out of 20, while land management had a value of 22.5 out of a weight of 30. Activities that can be carried out to improve reclamation on former mining business permit land are land management, reducing landslides, erosion, and sedimentation, improving the quality of physical and chemical soil properties with regular fertilization and liming, spraying pesticides, cleaning cover crop windings on plants periodically carried out, reselecting cover crops, selecting sengon plants as pioneer plants, selection of jackfruit plants as local insert crops, then the commitment of policymakers in the implementation of reclamation, fulfillment of labor competencies, remaking of erosion and sedimentation control facilities, and providing facilities and infrastructure for breeding diverse plants.

Abstract

 Increasing rice production with the use of high-yielding varieties and proper plant spacing must consider the environmental aspect. Organic agriculture is an effort to accelerate the cultivation techniques with environmental health, in addition, the research site is a tidal land that has been cultivating rice organically since 2009. The research aimed to study the growth and yield of superior varieties and new plant type of rice on various cropping systems in tidal land. The research was carried out at the Laboratory of Center for Protection of Food Crops and Horticulture, Sungai Tabuk District, Banjar Regency. The experimental design was a split-plot with three replications.  The main plot were s1 = Tile System, s2 = Legowo System 2:1, s3 = Legowo System 8:1 cropping systems and subplots were  v1= Ciherang, v2= Mekongga, v3= IPB Batola 6R, v4= IPB 3S varieties. The experimental unit was a plot with a size of 10 m2. The results showed that there was no interaction between cropping systems and rice varieties. The main plot of cropping system Legowo 2:1 showed the best percentage of filled grain per panicle (87%). Sub-plot of rice varieties affected some plant growth and yield variables. Superior varieties Ciherang and Mekongga had more tillers and panicles per clump. The new plant type varieties showed a greater number of grains per panicle and tended to have a better percentage of filled grains per panicle and a weight of 1,000 grains.

Abstract

Community service activities in the form of technical guidance on the application of jasmine plant propagation technology have been carried out in Jingah Habang Ilir Village, Karang Intan District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan on Thursday, September 23, 2021. The technical guidance activity aims to provide training to farmers on jasmine plant propagation technology based on GAP, increasing the production and productivity of jasmine in the flower development center of Banjar Regency, as well as assisting the Regional Government in making policies regarding the flower development center of Banjar Regency. There were 34 participants who attended, consisting of farmers producing jasmine and PKK cadres from five villages, namely Jingah Habang Ilir, Karang Intan, Pandak Daun, Bincau, and Labuan Tabu. The problems found at the producer farmer level are that farmers do not understand the nursery management in the form of the number of cuttings planted in nursery polybags and enclosures, farmers do not understand about the types of pests that attack jasmine plants and their control, and farmers have not received training in the form of theory and practice of plant propagation directly in the field. The solution offered to answer the problem of jasmine propagation in five jasmine-producing villages in Banjar Regency is the need for comprehensive training on jasmine cultivation, support for nursery infrastructure and facilities, monitoring and evaluation on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

The supply of nutritious food through a variety of food consumption is very important in reducing stunting prevalence. Some areas of Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) Regency are the alabio polder area with high cases of stunting children and unproductive swamp land conditions when flooded with rainwater. This service activity provides a solution in utilizing home yards as a place to cultivate local swamp vegetables that have high nutrition, namely water spinach and water mimosa. The activities carried out include planning, which is done by direct observation and coordination with related stakeholders, then educating about the importance of consuming nutritious vegetables. Training and mentoring were given to 25 residents, the majority of whom were farming mothers. Evaluation was carried out by giving a questionnaire to participants regarding the sustainability of the activity. This activity was able to increase the knowledge and skills of the community in cultivating plants in the yard. The application of semi-hydroponic cultivation techniques of typical swamp vegetables has helped the community in providing vegetables when swamp rice fields are flooded in the rainy season and cannot be planted. Evaluation results showed that 88% of participants were enthusiastic about implementing the training in their daily lives because it suited their needs.

Abstract

Pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi khususnya sayuran yang sehat di masyarakat perkotaan memerlukan biaya yang tinggi. Ketersediaan lahan yang sempit dan kurangnya pengetahuan menyebabkan rendahnya minat budidaya tanaman masyarakat perkotaan. Pemanfaatan sampah organik limbah rumah tangga untuk budidaya sayuran secara organik dengan sistem vertikultur dapat meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah rumah tangga dan produksi sayuran sehat.  Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di RT. 40 dan RT. 47, RW. 07 Kelurahan Guntung Manggis, Kecamatan Landasan Ulin, Kota Banjarbaru, Kalimantan Selatan. Tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah sosialisasi, praktik pembuatan demplot, dan monitoring. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini secara berkelanjutan akan meningkatankan kondisi lingkungan, memenuhi kecukupan gizi rumah tangga dan meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai aplikasi sistem tanam jajar legowo dan pupuk NPK terhadap produksi jagung manis pada lahan rawa telah di laksanakan di Taman Sains Pertanian (TSP) lahan rawa Balai Penelitian Tanaman Lahan Rawa (BALITTRA), Kecamatan Loktabat, Banjarbaru, Kalimantan Selatan dari bulan Juli sampai September 2016. Penelitian ini disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial (RAKF) yang terdiri atas dua faktor perlakuan yaitu sistem tanam jajar legowo (J) yang terdiri dari tanpa jajar legowo (j0), jajar legowo 2 : 1 (j1) ,jajar legowo 3 : 1 (j2) dan beberapa dosis pupuk NPK yang terdiri dari 0% atau tanpa pupuk NPK (p0), 25% (p1 ), 50% (p2), 75% (p3) dan 100% (p4) dari dosis anjuran 400 kg. ha-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi kedua faktor hanya berpengaruh terhadap kandungan klorofil a, sedangkan dosis pupuk hanya berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 6 MST, kandungan klorofil a dan indeks luas daun (ILD). Pengamatan lain berupa tinggi tanaman (umur 2, 4 MST), jumlah daun (umur 2, 4, 6 MST), kandungan klorofil b, klorofil total, panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol, jumlah baris, berat basah, berat kering dan kadar air tidak dipengaruhi oleh perlakuan tunggal maupun interaksinya.Kata kunci : Jajar legowo, NPK, jagung manis

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran abu sekam dan tingkat ketersediaan air dalam peningkatan pertumbuhan, hasil dan kandungan flavonoid bawang dayak. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai dengan Oktober 2022 di Rumah Kaca Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dua faktor berulangan 3, faktor pertama dosis abu sekam terdiri dari 4 taraf: 0 ton ha-1, 2.5 ton ha-1, 5 ton ha-1, dan 7.5 ton ha-1, dan faktor kedua adalah tingkat ketersediaan air terdiri dari 4 taraf: 100% kapasitas lapang, 75% kapasitas lapang, 50% kapasitas lapang dan 25% kapasitas lapang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi abu sekam dapat meningkatkan jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, berat umbi dan kandungan flavonoid pada umbi bawang dayak. Kandungan flavonoid tertinggi sebesar 0.101% diperoleh pada dosis abu sekam 7.5 ton ha-1. Perlakuan ketersediaan air di bawah kapasitas lapang cenderung menurunkan pertumbuhan, hasil, dan kandungan flavonoid bawang dayak. Berat kering umbi lebih memberikan pengaruh terhadap kandungan flavonoid umbi bawang dayak dibandingkan jumlah umbi. Kata kunci: amelioran, kapasitas lapang, metabolit sekunder, tanaman obat
