Abstract

Dalam kesehariannya masyarakat Desa Paya Bujok Seulemak Kecamatan Langsa Baro Kota Langsa, tidak terlepas dari makanan cepat saji yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit degeneratif. Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan munculnya tempat-tempat makanan junk food hampir diseluruh sudut kota Langsa. Kesadaran akan pentingnya mengonsumsi makanan yang kaya probiotik, tinggi antioksidan tentunya akan efektif untuk mencegah penyakit degeneratif. Sehingga upaya pada program peningkatan imunitas melawan penyakit degeneratif perlu dilakukan seperti edukasi serta memberikan pelatihan pembuatan diversifikasi pangan fungsional sebagai pencegah meningkatnya penyakit degeneratif. Minuman teh kombucha hasil fermentasi SCOBY (Simbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat ditawarkan pada kelompok ibu-ibu PKK sebagai penggerak utama untuk mencegah meningkatnya penyakit degeneratif tingkat desa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat Desa Paya Bujok Seulemak terkait dengan keterampilan dalam pembuatan minuman teh kombucha sehingga dapat menciptakan masyarakat desa yang mandiri dan bebas penyakit degeneratif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode pendekatan langsung, ceramah, dan praktik yang fokus pada pelatihan dan pendampingan mengolah teh kombucha F1(fermentasi pertama) dan F2 (fermentasi kedua). Hasil yang dicapai yaitu meningkatnya minat belajar sebesar 88,13%, pengetahuan sebesar 95,65%, dan keterampilan sebesar 97,74% dalam membuat dan memasarkan produk minuman kombucha. In their daily lives, the people of Paya Bujok Seulemak Village, Langsa Baro District, Langsa City, cannot be separated from fast food which can cause degenerative diseases. This can be seen by the emergence of junk food places in almost all corners of Langsa city. Awareness of the importance of consuming foods rich in probiotics, high in antioxidants will certainly be effective in preventing degenerative diseases. So efforts to increase immunity programs against degenerative diseases need to be carried out, such as education and providing training in making functional food diversification to prevent the increase in degenerative diseases. The kombucha tea drink produced from SCOBY (Symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) fermentation is one solution that can be offered to the PKK women's group as the main driver to prevent the increase in degenerative diseases at the village level. This service activity aims to solve the problems faced by the people of Paya Bujok Seulemak Village related to skills in making kombucha tea drinks so that they can create a village community that is independent and free of degenerative diseases. The method used is a direct approach, lectures and practices that focus on training and assistance in processing F1 (first fermentation) and F2 (second fermentation) kombucha tea. The results achieved were an increase in participants' interest in learning by 88.13%, knowledge by 95.65% and skills by 97.74% in making and marketing kombucha drink products.

Abstract

The cost of feed consumption that continues to rise greatly affects the sustainability of cultivation activities, especially catfish cultivation. The partner in this service activity is a livestock group with the name Pangkal Ikan group. This group is domiciled in Pangkalan Village, kejuruan muda, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province. Mitra focuses on hatchery, rearing and fattening Sangkuriang Catfish (Clarias gariepinus). The form of obstacles faced by partners today is factory-made feed which tends to be expensive and always rising and partners do not yet have the ability to cultivate silkworms and make feed independently. Therefore, this programs (PKM) is carried out to process alternative feed to replace commercial feed by utilizing maggot from black soldier flies (Hermetia illucens) or Black Soldier Fly (BSF) and silkworms (Tubifex sp) which are high in protein in reducing feed costs and increasing catfish production yields. . This service was carried out for 6 months with several stages, namely the preparation stage, socialization of the PKM program, training on the application of silkworm cultivation technology and processing BSF flies into pellet-shaped feed. Next, the operational assistance stage and ending with the evaluation monitoring stage. Based on the results of the activity shows that partners are very interested in the theme created. This can be seen from the enthusiastic involvement of partners in following and practicing directly silkworm cultivation techniques and pellet making techniques made from BSF fly maggots. In this activity, partners are fully involved directly so that later partners are able to practice the knowledge that has been given independently. It can be concluded that the implementation of the program is able to have a positive impact on partners who have been able to reduce feed costs.

Abstract

Limbah cair kelapa sawit merupakan sisa hasil tanaman kelapa sawit yang tidak termasuk dalam produk utama atau hasil ikutan dari proses pengolahan kelapa sawit. Pengolahan Limbah cair yang dilakukan di pabrik pengolahan kelapa sawit terdiri dari ; pengolahan pada kolam fat pit, kolam pendinginan, kolam pembiakkan bakteri, kolam pengasaman, kolam perombakan anaerob, kolam aerob, kolam sedimentasi, dan yang terakhir land application. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode sesaat (grab sampling). Analisisnya menggunakan uji kandungan BOD, COD, TSS, PH dan N-Total pada uji kandungan limbah cair kelapa sawit. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa limbah cair  pabrik  kelapa  sawit  di  PMKS PT Sisirau sudah  memenuhi  standar  baku  mutu kualitas limbah  cair bagi kegiatan  industri  kelapa  sawit sesuai  dengan ketentuan Standarisasi Kep-51/MEN LH/1995, yaitu  nilai  BOD  kurang dari 100 mg/l. untuk nilai COD sudah  memenuhi standar baku mutu karena kurang dari 350 mg/l, Untuk nilai TSS sudah memenuhi standar baku mutu karena kurang dari 250 mg/l, dan nilai N-Total sudah memenuhi Baku mutu karena kurang dari 50 mg/l.

Abstract

Keberhasilan budidaya ikan lele sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas pakan, kualitas pakan yang tidak memenuhi kebutuhan ikan menyebabkan tingkat kelangsungan hidupan dan pertumbuhan ikan yang buruk. Dalam proses pencernaannya, ikan membutuhkan bantuan enzim untuk meningkatkan penyerapan nutrisi dari pakan salah satu enzim yang dapat digunakan adalah enzim eksogen. Adapun tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui efisiensi pakan dan juga pertumbuhan ikan lele sangkuriang dan membandingkan ekstrak yang memiliki pengaruh lebih besar dalam upaya efisiensi pakan dan pertumbuhan ikan lel. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Dinas Pangan, Pertanian, Kelautan dan Perikanan Kota Langsa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu ekperimen deskriptif dengan 4 jenis perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pakan probiotik dari limbah kulit nanas lebih berpengaruh dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lain nya dengan nilai EPP 1,98%, dan Growth Rate 56,5 cm. Pada tingkat kelulushidupan seluruh perlakuan penambahan pakan probiotik memiliki nilai yang sama yaitu 91,6 % dan adapun nilai kelulushidupan terendah merupakan perlakuan Kontrol dengan jumlah persentase 75%.

Abstract

The Baccaurea brevipes Hook.F. plant has been studied in the past and has the potential to be a therapeutic herb. The Tampoi plant (B. brevipes) has been used as a medication by the Acehnese to regulate menstruation and make urinating easier. In nature, endophytic fungi are widespread and can be easily found in plant tissue. Without infecting the host plant, the endophytes colonize the inter and intracellular spaces of the tissue. Endophytic fungi can create bioactive chemicals that may be similar to or distinct from those of their host plants and have pharmacological effects. However, no studies have been done on its endophytic fungus as a potential source for novel medication development. This study was done to look into endophytic fungi in Baccaurea's twigs and roots. The techniques employed in this study were endophytic fungi purification, identification of macroscopic and microscopic endophytic fungi, and endophytic fungi isolation. Five isolates were identified as a result of isolation and purification; they were designated as isolates BVA1, BVA2, BVA3, BVR1 and BVR2. The genera Neofusicocum sp., Colletotrichum sp., Mucor sp., Fusarium sp. and Schizophyllum sp. are assumed to be the kind of endophytic fungal isolates BVA1, BVA2, BVA3, BVR1 and BVR2.

Abstract

As one of the countries recognized as megabiodiverse, Indonesia boasts a rich diversity of flora, including various plant species. It is essential to conduct documentation on plant species with the potential to serve as natural pesticides through simple processing methods used by the community, especially farmers in the plantations of Kota Langsa and Gayo Luwes. The objective of this research is to document plant species with the potential to be used as natural pesticides through simple processing methods employed by the community, particularly farmers in the plantations of Kota Langsa and Gayo Luwes. The research methodology involves collecting observational data and direct collection from the surrounding areas where these plants grow. The continuous increase in pesticide usage in Nangroe Aceh is proportional to the expansion of agricultural areas and the rise in identification levels, emphasizing the need for pesticides capable of controlling pestsAbstrakSebagai salah satu negara yang mendapatkan sebutan sebagai megabiodiversiti, Indonesia memiliki beragam kenakeragaman hayati seperti tumbuhan. Hal tersebut perlu dilakukan pendataan mengenai jenis tanaman berpotensi sebagai pestisida alami dengan cara pengolahan sederhana yang digunakan oleh masyarakat khususnya para petani di perkebunan Kota Langsa dan Gayo Luwes. Abstract

Efforts to prevent stunting at the village level require contextual and innovative strategies, particularly by involving community empowerment in improving children's nutritional quality. This community service program was implemented in Tanjung Seumantoh Village, Karang Baru Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency, in response to the high percentage of families at risk of stunting (19.96%) and the low consumption of nutritious food caused by limited nutritional knowledge, high milk prices, and cases of lactose intolerance. The main objectives of this program were: (1) to enhance PKK mothers’ knowledge of balanced nutrition and the importance of adequate nutrient intake in preventing stunting, (2) to develop their skills in producing yogurt fortified with mung bean flour as a nutritious food product, and (3) to encourage the utilization of local food sources at the household level to support children's growth and development. The methods included an initial community assessment, nutrition education sessions, yogurt production training, post-activity evaluation through questionnaires, and follow-up mentoring. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge, with 84% of respondents demonstrating improved understanding of the nutritional benefits of mung beans as a fortifying ingredient in milk-based products. Additionally, a portion of respondents showed greater awareness of the relationship between child nutrition and stunting prevention (scale 5; 4.52±0.51), and most participants agreed that they were able to independently follow the steps of milk processing after the training (scale 4; 4.12±0.83). Furthermore, household-level food diversification increased, and 52% of participants were motivated to continue producing fortified yogurt independently. These findings indicate that fortifying UHT milk with mung bean flour through the active involvement of PKK mothers can serve as an effective, sustainable, and community-based strategy for stunting prevention while simultaneously contributing to family economic empowerment.

Abstract

Aedes aegypti merupakan salah satu serangga vektor penyebab utama penyebaran virus dengue ke manusia. Pengendalian biasa dilakukan dengan penanggulangan vector. Salah satunya dengan penggunaan ovisida kimia. Penggunaan ovisida kimia dalam jangka waktu panjang beresiko mencemari lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mencari alternatif ovisida alami dalam pengendalian vektor yaitu penggunaan daun sirih (Piper betle L) dan daun mangkokan (Nothopanax scutellarium Merr.). Tujuan dari peneltian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari kombinasi ekstrak daun sirih dan daun mangkokan sebagai salah satu bahan baku ovisida. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 1%, 1,5%, 2%, 2,5% (v/v). Kontrol negatif dan positif menggunakan aquades dan bubuk abate. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA melalui uji BNT dan analisis Probit untuk menentukan nilai LC50. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi ekstrak daun sirih dan ekstrak daun mangkokan efektif sebagai ovisida alami telur Ae. aegypti pada konsentrasi 2% (v/v).
